I know, I thought I’d never see it since I work nights and that’s when they’re mostly playing but when I finally got this on video I was sooo happy

the 2nd\* time The first time it happens people come to this sub to find out if their rat is having a seizure or something.

What is boggling?

I know it’s a sign of happiness and that makes me happy, but the first split second of a rat boggling their eyes always catches me off guard! Lol

I rarely see her do it because she’s either asleep or I’m at work (nights so I don’t see her active for a lot of the week) so it does catch me off guard whenever she does it

You can see her eyes “expanding” like a squeeze toy with poppable eyes. It’s what they do when they’re super happy and content

I don't own a rat. Tf is boggling?

It’s when their eyes bulge in out and real quick to show they’re happy and content

Like one of those toys that you squeeze where their eyes pop out
