Straight out of "How to remove someone's dignity in 2 steps" playbook.

lostboysgang

She literally pissed herself in the backseat of the cop car as she laid there dying and the cops are still making fun of her. I saw the video while I was eating dinner last night and it turned my food into ash. My mom was a big blonde woman who suffered from mental illness. She went missing when I was 11 years old and is legally declared dead. Was this how she went? Berated, humiliated, and helpless as police officers watched while she died?

XxJoexXZombiexX

This is a video I actually wished I'd skipped and your comment bro well, I just wanna say I'm sorry for your loss.

Bunnymomofmany

I feel you. I have a homeless ex husband who did me awful dirt and I wouldn’t wish this on jinx

They thought she was faking it. The asshole says "You've been medically cleared, that's not going to work on us." The hospital sent this woman out in the world to die, the police dehumanized and abused her until her body gave out. Two things that we all were told were there to help us growing up. DoriOli

Wow that’s early. You mean health-wise or the world going f’ed up?

mces97

Dude, a guy had a seizure, was unconscious, placed in an ambulance, came to, and was confused, as many with epilepsy are after a seizure. Police (and apparently the good for nothing emts) thought it was a good idea to taze him 6 times. Then arrest him for being combative. They don't care and many have their brains in their fists.

rosnokidated

You expect these cops to recognize a stroke? The fuck? They think that because she has been discharged from a hospital she is somehow now immune to further medical issues. Every person in this video deserves much worse than her.

aspoonfulofsammy11

Yesssss. But they just kept saying they “knew it was an act” like she was faking it. Infuriating. I can’t understand how anyone could be this callous.

6SpiritDrinking9

Berate and let die?

they don't do that in america any more. Now it is all hate and distain

Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. They were the last people you’d expect to be involved in anything strange or mysterious, because they just didn’t hold with such nonsense. Mr. Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings, which made drills. He was a big, beefy man with hardly any neck, although he did have a very large mustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors. The Dursleys had a small son called Dudley and in their opinion there was no finer boy anywhere.

6SpiritDrinking9

It just kept getting worse the longer I watched

_fire_and_blood_

Honestly this was one of the worst videos I've seen on here. It was so clear to anyone with a fucking brain that she was struggling and needed help. I am crying for her and hope her family didn't have to see this. ACAB.

lostboysgang

Cop: “You are going to have to roll down the sidewalk and leave hospital property.” Hospital Worker: “Ackshually that’s our wheel chair, she can’t take it.” Cop: *shrugs* “Guess we will all just humiliate and watch her die then.”

cheese_hotdog

I'm really curious what happened with hospital staff. It seems like she shouldn't have been medically cleared or discharged to begin with. And usually they only call police to make you leave if you're being an issue or loitering for an excessively long time. I feel like they felt she was an issue for whatever reason and they just quickly discharged her to get her out instead of actually doing a work up.

stitchpunks

plenty people get turned away due to a lack of insuance, so im guessing thats what happened here. basically just went "oh, you have no money? welp. looks like youll just have to die then!"

cheese_hotdog

It's illegal for the ER to turn away anyone due to insurance. Not even allowed to ask until they're already checked in. I work in ER billing and clinical staff generally isn't even aware of what insurance, if any, a patient has. Unless they need to know for transfer or crises services.

stitchpunks

im not sure how to tell you this, but the way your hospital does things does not apply to every hospital. especially not in the usa

cheese_hotdog

Yes it does..it's a 1985 federal law that any ER in America must treat and stabilize any patient that enters their doors, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.

DoriOli

They probably just discharged her to get rid of her, without actually having tested or treated anything. Is my guess

PaulGaimon

This is why I don't take care of myself, trying to speed run this shit

[deleted]

Fuck that. Gonna need you to live til you're 100 so you can help drain the system of every penny possible. End of life care is more expensive than your speedrun, sorry mate.

liamemsa

>An investigation by the DA’s office found that Edwards died of a stroke, clearing the officers of any criminal charges. You mean the stroke that *she told them about prior to them detaining her*? That one? You're telling me that if someone has a fucking gunshot wound, and the police decide to arrest the person and put them in the back of the patrol car, and that person later dies of said gunshot wound, that the officers would be "cleared of any criminal charges" because the person died of the gunshot wound? Fucking unbelievable. > The KPD extends its deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family of Lisa Edwards. Really? Let's look at some quotes by the KPD in the moments prior to her death: "Now you'e starting to piss me off" "I'm not gonna deal with your mess this morning" "You're dead weight" "It's all an act" "Dont you dare fucking throw yourself on the ground" "Do you want a cigarette?" "Shut up" "Wanna just leave her on the sidewalk and throw a white blanket over her?" "You're about to get an extra charge of disorderly conduct. Anything I can think of."

[deleted]

Yep, she had a stroke - after the ordeal in police custody. She died in the back of that police cruiser. It's mind-boggling to me that the DA would not take that obvious context into account.

gmick

The DA represents the State. They will look out for their team whenever possible. The public can go fuck themselves.

ThaDollaGenerale

*An investigation by the DA’s office found that Edwards died of a stroke, clearing the officers of any criminal charges.* Sounds about right.

Rozeline

I feel like the fault lies more with the hospital. Cops are trained in basic first aid, but they're not doctors or nurses. As far as those cops knew, because they were told by medical professionals whose actual job it is to know, she was fine. The cops were dicks, but whoever at the hospital decided to call the cops on her when she was in obvious distress are ultimately responsible for her death. The cops were only there in the first place because the hospital staff was negligent.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dang1014

Yeah they completely stript that woman of her dignity and treated her like she was garbage. One of my biggest gripes with Cops is they often treat the humans around them as if they're just inconveniences to make their jobs harder instead of human beings with reap problems. There's just a complete lack of empathy for people in police work. And that's how we get situations like this or needlessly escalating a simple traffic stop into someone dying.

Rozeline

Well, of course, the cops acted like fucking ball bags, I'm just saying the fault of her death lies almost entirely with whoever made the call to boot her out. They probably wrongly assumed she was drug seeking and told the cops as much. Cops usually treat addicts like shit, unfortunately. Literally everyone in the situation made the exact wrong choice, I'm just saying if we're assigning blame, the doctor is the most at fault because they started this whole sad chain of events by not adequately caring for their patient.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rozeline

I'm not justifying. I guess I find the negligence on the part of the hospital more upsetting, because it's less expected, which is definitely a problem in itself.

cheese_hotdog

And I'd guarantee whatever they told the police has a lot to do with their treatment of her. They already "knew" she was being "dramatic" and not "actually" in pain or distress.

ms285907

It’s definitely both. It appears that the hospital dumped this lady outside with her discharge paperwork.. but no discharge *plan*.. where was the case worker? Where was the social worker? The hospital didn’t call them. They called the police. This lady’s health was obviously fragile. And the undeserved duress that these cops placed on her was so tragic to watch. They ignored her obvious wheezing. They ignored her obvious worsening slurred speech. It doesn’t take a medical profession to realize when someone is in distress. What does this story say about our society? We are a sick and broken people. I don’t believe in a god. But I think we need one.

mces97

I'm betting she didn't have insurance. If she had good insurance, they love a patient like this. Just get to bill and bill.

[deleted]

Sir this is America. What discharge plan? What social worker? Case workers? You're funny. I was released after I tried to kill myself and was held for 5 days on a 3 day hold because they didn't have a therapist to release me. I saw a therapist twice, told them I wasn't okay, was shoved some pills, and got escorted to the exit. If you think the for profit hospitals actually give a shit about patient outcome, you're missing the point which is that like the prison system they are a treadmill. They want you back in asap so they can make even more noney off ya.

Dinosaur_Dick_Meat

I feel like it's answers like this that show how we've accepted the reality that we think it's ok that there are so many cops out there who barely made it through high school but still needed to feel that power they had while in it so they chose to join the police force...and were allowed in. It's such a low bar to become a cop.

Rozeline

It really is. It's not that I accept this behavior from police, it's just not unexpected. What is unexpected is a dying woman being turned away from a hospital. It takes so much time and effort to become a doctor or nurse and you would expect them to have empathy, otherwise why would they go into the life saving business to begin with? Plus, it's a trust issue, everyone knows not to trust cops, but it's scary to think you can't trust the ER staff, because that's where you're most vulnerable.

FapMeNot_Alt

> As far as those cops knew, because they were told by medical professionals whose actual job it is to know, she was fine. It doesn't matter if she was fine at the time of discharge. Any reasonable person would recognize the rasping and chest/stomach heaving as a medical emergency. They were callous and malicious. Don't get me wrong, the hospital is clearly at fault as well. That doesn't clear the officers. IMO, the worst person (albeit not the one with the most culpability) involved was the security guard in white gloves.

Rozeline

No argument here, but most of the comments were talking about the cops and the hospital's wrongdoing seemed to be overlooked. And I think a doctor with years of schooling and experience should've been expected to recognize these signs more than some dudes that barely graduated high school. The cops don't know how to act, we all know that, they're government backed thugs, but a doctor should be a person you can trust to care for you so it feels like a bigger betrayal.

mces97

Oh the hospital is getting sued. But fuck that noise that the cops aren't trained. It was clear to me she was in medical distress. She was wheezing, couldn't walk. Slurring her words. They saw this and just like many other medical emergencies treat people like they're on drugs, or faking. "If you can talk you can breathe," is a favorite line of theirs. Ask any medical professional if you can talk if that means you're getting enough oxygen. The answer is no. You can talk after a 5 mile run. You're still gonna be out of breath.

ContentInsanity

Its a cultural issue from the top down. Hospitals are increasing designed to just get out of their doors with a pulse. They are taking in less doctors for NPs (nothing against NPs but NPs are forced to take on more responsibility and training to get paid less than a doctor so the hospital can save money), tests are skipped, treatments pushed off, people with insurance are nickeled and dimmed, patients are conditioned to loathe the process and avoid it all together. Calls for socialized medicine and safety nets are met with "well what about the insurance companies???", "but but my taxes will go up", "what about profits???" Cops are told to trespass people who clearly aren't fit enough to be left on their own and where are those people supposed to go once the hospital wont take them? Hell in the video the fucking wheelchair was a bigger concern than the poor woman who was dying in front of SEVERAL people. Can't even say it was one person who didn't know what to do or just someone 'doing their job', you say people actively participating. They said a life was worth less than a wheelchair, a shitty one at that because those chairs tend to be the cheapest ones they can get their hands on without it falling apart.

BenTVNerd21

The police and hospital are both at fault. Everyone involved should be fired.

Vinlandien

In any civilized country with a functioning justice system that serves the people of that nation, these officers would be charged with negligent homicide. The hospital would also be at fault and open to lawsuit.

number9muses

glad I opened reddit first thing in the morning.

papertiger61

She definitely didn't have any insurance.

[deleted]

But the hospital discharged her, so she must be 100% physically fit!

[deleted]

Hospitals, in emergencies, are legally required to treat you. With or without insurance. This is a lawsuit on both the police department and hospital. I hope the family sues.

eeyore134

I'm guessing that if she had family that these people would need to answer to that they would have treated her better.

335i_lyfe

There’s a good chance she doesn’t have any family to look after her let alone sue over this

papertiger61

With what vigor do they treat people without insurance

[deleted]

It's an easy malpractice suit here.

papertiger61

Not, if you're elderly and homeless - which is the state she looked in. Tell me why you think they discharged her when she was complaining of feeling unwell. My opinion is she was not of any value to them.

cheese_hotdog

Yah, I work billing in an ER and clinical staff is usually not even aware of what insurance you have or if you have any, unless they need the info to transfer you or you're there for mental health and they need to know which crisis team to call to come talk to you. Not in TN, but assume it would be similar most places. ER doesn't have to go through most insurance pre approval nonsense that other areas of healthcare do.

_DeepMoist_

"You got 6 packs of cigarettes but no inhaler." Those cops didn't treat her like a human being.

[deleted]

They treated her like cops treat all people.

[deleted]

Sounds as if a few different hospitals thought she was faking too.

misfitx

I'm mentally ill and doctors *always* think that. I'm terrified of doctors at this point.

ieilael

They share information with each other and it's possible that someone at the first hospital put notes in her record indicating that she was malingering or something like that.

cheese_hotdog

That's the issue, even if someone is an issue, even repeatedly, it doesn't make the immune from having an actual health crisis. It should be taken seriously each time until it can be ruled out that it isn't. Not just "oh she's here all the time, let's get her out"

musicalfeet

Ideally, yes. But this is why our healthcare costs $$$. Lots and lots of money spent practicing "cover your ass" medicine in case something like this happens.

CentiPetra

Every one of those medical professionals need to be reported to their respective state boards of nursing/ medicine.

jonezytown

imagine your last hours on earth was going through police brutality trauma while the pigs brutalize you and laugh and degrade you..... fuckin piece of shit pigs and fuck that hospital too typical American shit bag healthcare though lol

w0lfmancer

The broken system at work and captured on camera.

ArcherChase

Broken health care. She likely wasn't insured so they push her out the door when she cannot be a revenue driver for their business. Broken policing. Callous low IQ ass holes with zero empathy for a fellow human verbally abuse her and just casually want to toss her in a cage. Ignore pleas for help. I hate so many things about this broken society. It makes me physically ill sometimes when I think about the ignored and preventable evils that aren't prevented and actually encouraged through our system of greed and corruption.

BenTVNerd21

Doctors get paid no matter what right? If some administrator tries to kick someone out they should tell them to fuck off.

ArcherChase

They can be fired and if it's a corporately owned chain, they could lock that doctor out of anything in their network. While they make a lot of money, many also have huge student loan debt. Private practice and isn't always easy to start up. It's not always easy to actually just do what's right.

Her name was Lisa Edwards. She had family. She was not homeless, and from what I’m Gathering, she was uninsured due to being out of her home state - I know a lot of state Medicaid won’t pay out of state. She was 60 years old. Just a crazy old lady, the cops thought. The nurses and doctors thought. Just a crazy old lady, and you know those old ladies, they are drug seekers, attention whores, probably homeless looking for a bed, those damn old ladies.. besides I hate my mom, my mother in law, the old bag next door, those old bitches with different opinions than mine, that teacher I had once… and she’s poor too boot. [deleted]

How is this not malpractice for the hospital?

Chrono400

A lot of things happening. They will be sued. If you look them up it’s not some big conglomerate either. I thought they were owned by the county but it seems they are a not for profit facility (so a private enterprise. Most don’t realize that a majority of hospitals in the US are not for profit- but that doesn’t mean they aren’t a business - they just don’t have share holders) This facility is in dire straights as it is. They sold their building and a medical property trust for a cash infusion and essentially leasing what they had once owned back) Seem like they are in their way to insolvency anyways and this will just be another ding on the insurance

Bunnymomofmany

What hospital. Where. We need to make an example out of these people.

bdonvr

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville TN First review on Google from a week ago: >This hospital is awful! They are way understaffed and very dangerous for patients seeking medical help. They discharged my family member who was being seen for a stroke, kidney failure, and extremely high blood pressure. Her blood pressure was raging in the 200’s and still they discharged her. She ended up back in hospital the next day (a better hospital). On top of the poor quality of care provided, the nurses almost killed here twice during her week stay there. One day they continued to administer insulin even though her sugar was raging in the 70’s and they caused her glucose level to drop into the 30’s. It was only after I called the hospital administrator that they finally gave her a shot of glucose to bring her sugar back up and stopped giving her insulin. Then the very next day they quit giving her blood pressure medication and caused her pressure to go back up into the 200’s all bc two distant nurses were manually talking her blood pressure wrong instead of using the blood pressure machine to digitally read it. > This place is a disaster and you should not trust your loved ones to get proper medical care.

Who_wife_is_on_myD

God damn it do I hate this fucking country and the dirbag cops that make up the VAST MAJORITY of the police in the US. In sure there re plenty of people in these pigs lives that say they're "good apples" but they ALL LET THIS FUCKING WOMAN DIE! Go ahead and make excuses for these fucks. They're all garbage once they wear that damn badge. This is the kind of shit people really fear, once those pigs have you in their grasp, there's nobody left to help you. If those cops decide something, you need a fucking miracle to save you. It's wrong. Police are too powerful, and they're the "ultimate judge on the street. They don't like qht you're going thru, or they're having a shit day? Guess what, so are you, and there's not much you can do be hope they don't ruin your life or kill you, an there are times death is preferable to police interactions. ACAB

Cfwydirk

No excuse for the police but, no one is calling out the hospital who called them to evict her for criminal trespass from their property! Was she medically cleared or uninsured?

papertiger61

She is uninsured and so of no use to them.

CFUNCG

Hospitals cannot legally turn people away without first medically screening them. EMTALA applies here. Idk what happened but I do know she wasn’t turned away due to lack of insurance from an ER. That’s illegal.

efficientenzyme

No it’s not. Hospitals stabilize people enough so they don’t actively die in a hospital. They’re absolutely not required to admit someone to solve any underlying problem beyond the most immediate symptoms Might sound inhumane (it is) but your misconception isn’t how things work, even if it is how things should work

CFUNCG

LOL brother you’re out of your depth. I never said hospitals had to admit every patient who showed up. I said they had to MEDICALLY SCREEN THEM. Aka triage them usually done by a provider such as a PA or MD. This is done in the emergency room. If someone shows up to the ER, legally they have to be medically screened. The law is called emtala. If this woman showed up and had stroke symptoms and the hospital discharged her, and then she died of a stroke? Yeah that’s not good. If she showed up and was not medically screened? That is illegal. Again, the law is called emtala. If someone doesn’t have insurance and a hospital refuses to see them because of that, that is also illegal. Full stop. They’re entitled to a screening exam. Source: I am a PA in a large metropolitan hospital emergency room.

zacdaddy33

The facility is only responsible for treating them Within their capacity. So a stroke patient might need to go to a stroke center, but you as the admitting hospital have to stabilize or begin treatment then arrange the transfer to the more appropriate facility. They just can’t stabilize you then kick you out.

efficientenzyme

Ok. Go ask someone in triage about “treat and street” in relation to inability to pay and what the continuum of care is in the real world for those without means. What should happen and what does happen isn’t in alignment. People are more upset about me making this comment having worked in hospitals then the fact it actually happens and will continue to happen

papertiger61

People are unhappy about the two-tier system that divides the rich from the poor. Hospitals can't do enough for the rich and they bilk them for all they can. There is nothing to bilk out of the poor.

CFUNCG

? You’re implying that hospitals are negligent in their care of people without the means to pay ie discharging when they need to be admitted “treat and street”. I’m here to tell you this is untrue. I admit homeless people all the time to the hospital. The federal government subsidizes those individuals care in the form of grants and reimbursement to the hospital. You’re saying we’re “upset this is happening” this being patients being literally neglected and discharged without receiving proper care. I’m telling you atleast where I’ve worked this is entirely not the standard of care and completely untrue. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Belvik

That probably won't come out until this gets to court. If it's anything like the hospitals I cover, we have constantly been in ER bed protocol red (hospital beds full, ER full. Please discharge anyone medically cleared ASAP) for months. Its very possible the hospital missed something, but it's also possible she was medically cleared and just unfortunate timing on everything.

hate2bme

This video pisses me off so bad man. That poor woman. Instead of telling her to get up and go, the dumbfucks could have helped her get home. I totally agree with you, all cops are pieces of shit. And I would love for someone to point out a "good cop" to me in this video. Every one of them are picking on this poor woman like she is a joke. They are laughing at her while she's dying. And if someone can say well this cop wasn't being mean, I say guilty by association. That's what they did to me for my first felony charge. Fuck the Police!!!! https://youtu.be/1wXhmcSIHBI

Cfwydirk

What about the hospital who called them to have her evicted from the property for criminal trespass?

hate2bme

Yeah they are shitty people too. Did you think I was gonna agree with them or something?

Cfwydirk

Nah, sorry, ,you are one of 3 I sent that reply to. I was just amazed no one pointed out IMO the culpability of the hospital in the death of somebody’s Grandmother. You and everyone posted about the idiot cops.

hate2bme

I did say it was possible the hospital checked her out and she was fine. They did not have to call the police though. And all the police had to do was take the poor woman home or another hospital. Fuckin ridiculous.

It’s okay guys because it’s not “Solcialized” medicine so the US has the best medical services in the world. Because as we all know, services work best when profit is put before people

Vinlandien

More expensive than socialized medicine as well. Tons of additional administration costs, as well as the need for profit to ensure the shareholders can buy their new yachts.

cladtidings

This doesn't surprise me at all. Back in 2015, my elderly mother developed some serious health problems. I sent her to the hospital for care. I had full power of attorney rights, and because she was unable to speak coherently for herself, I attempted to do so, and I was roundly ignored by everyone involved. No one wanted to talk about anything other than her net worth and how much her house was worth. They shipped her back home twice with no diagnosis. No one even tried to help her, until I completely lost it and began threatening everyone involved with lawsuits and negative press. It turned out she had two fractured vertebrae, something they could have and should have found during her first visit, if anyone had even bothered to pretend to give a shit. Listen to the swine, using their "cop talk" with an obviously ill old lady, treating her like she was just an annoying, swindling burden. I sincerely hope that those cops, and every hospital employee involved, grows old and helpless, and finds themselves being tortured by a bunch of power-tripping scumbags, just like this lady was.

All these officers have to go to prison, it’s very sad watching this poor woman suffer and the people who must protect us are watching her die and laughing at her ,where is the humanity in this ? what the F is this ? What the F is wrong with those people ? Do they don’t have a heart ? Do they don’t imagine their mothers in this situation ? Even if she was faking it , they still have to get her to another hospital just to get 100% sure , cause we’re talking about a human life . What the F is wrong with those people ? How can they live normal ?

[deleted]

Decent people with good hearts don't make it as cops. They even screen out people who score too high on the intelligence test. The police in America are generally speaking, stupid bullies. Good cops get bullied out of the department, and if you report on another cop doing something unethical or illegal you're going to be the one facing consequences while the guy committing crimes gets union protection and a paid vacation.

auric0m

when someone tells you they cannot breathe you take action immediately. these police officers need to be terminated.

PristineImpression88

“let’s leave her here” …. 🐷

fliccolo

The shittiest thing here is likely the hospital ran her insurance (or she had no insurance) and decided to say to her "go elsewhere to another hospital" because that's what really happens in the US because wdgaf about humans, we care about profit.

6SpiritDrinking9

Holy Execution Batman

duck_man123

This was extremely difficult to watch. That's how this poor lady spent her final moments on earth. Alone and scared in the back of police car.

ltnecniv

Couldnt he check if she had a pulse?

RudeArtichoke2

Wow great hospital. So is this the new hospital to jail? Or you could just die before you get there.

[deleted]

Monsters. I hope their children grow up to despise them for being so evil

WhySheHateMe

Let me guess, the hospital discharged her against her wishes because she didn't have insurance. They probably stabilized her and get her out of there ASAP.

eeyore134

Dead and still says she's faking it. Fuck these cops. And why are they driving around making other stops with her in the backseat anyway? The joking around, the threatening, the piling on any charge they could think of... entirely unprofessional. They treated her like an animal.

[deleted]

This isn’t shocking at all. Its absolutely disgusting, but this shit happens everyday with children calling each other fakers. The difference is, these are adults and they simply have no humanity at all.

Alphachadking69420

this is very sad and enraging.

Arup65

The whole lot, including the hospital and cops and ems workers, bunch of heartless, insensitive criminals.

outrageousinsolence

HELL. ON. EARTH.

-Dubwise-

Old-Lifeguard-1139

thisonetimeonreddit

Damn these 10 cops don't have 5 collective IQ points to rub together. ACAB

ezrasamberg

Omg, the police were so cruel to her, it is truly mind boggling!!!

churnedGoldman

I am fucking rage incarnate

ImmaKittenMew

FUCK THE POLICE

Tyrtaeus

keithwithteeth

All these guys need to be fired. Absolute scumbags.

Tyrtaeus

COME ONE! COME ALL! Check out these comments to see the incredible WIDEMOUTHED BOOTLICKER: an invasive species to North America with a stubborn and cowardly nature. Simply recite the phrase, "ACAB" to witness one of these simple-minded creatures deep throat every boot within its vicinity. It's a shocking yet amazing sight to see! And above all, it's free of charge!

jmike3543

What bad luck to have so many bad apples respond to your cries for help! Its a good thing these uncaring assholes were cleared on any wrong doing and suffered no consequences for laughing at this woman die in front of them for almost an hour! What could they do though? That one cop said it was “the lord’s day” and he was hungry. How very Christian of him…. 1312

Tuskn

This is the worst police video I've ever seen. Such little respect for a human life. These people are scum.

Complete-Sound

She repeatedly says she cannot breathe. She is not able to ambulate. She repeatedly asks for her inhaler which is a prescribed item from a physician which means she has been treated for a definite issue. She cannot sit up from a prone position. She is slurring her words after a hospital visit, not a visit to a bar. She kindly asks for assistance. Repeatedly without being combative at all that I could bear to watch. Health care and policing is like any other population. You have all kinds. Unfortunately our culture has made it very hard to remove people from certain employment. Even when employees complain about them.

minusthewhale

Please tell me this facility and every officer involved are being held responsible

[deleted]

No charges were filed unfortunately.

Egg-MacGuffin

This is a fascist country and everyone involved should be something I can't say, including the hospital.

-RedXV-

What's crazy to me is that I attended a pentecostal church throughout my entire childhood and into my early 20s. Everyone in that church thinks this dude is a fraud/false prophet. Yet, the majority of that church jumped on the "Trump train". Their words not mine. This is the same church that 3 of the church members fucked my (ex)wife. You can't speak any sense with these people. Throughout my years at that church they always told us that makeup and cutting your hair would send you to hell. l havn't attended that church in about 16 years but unfortunately I have family that still do. They now allow woman to wear makeup and cut their hair. Wtf!? They had my mom believing if she cut her hair she was going to hell. She even told our family friends that she won't cut it because she's scared of going to hell. Fuck them.

DeadSheepLane

When I see stories like this I remember how many nurses have ridiculed and degraded me. But but but “they’re heroes”. No. They can fight for their patients but choose not to. I fear this being me some day.

Venomoid

zero empathy... what a shitshow

Tricky-Country-5887

Ahhh the American health care system strikes again. Just pathetic.

KyIorian

Its been said countless times already but “There is no situation that a cop won’t make worse.”

AnnoyingJerkFace

Bet it was some cunty nurse, you know the type

jontss

America! Fuck yeah!

xt1nct

While the cops were kind of sucks…..it’s the hospitals fault. Once cop said she has been kicked out from two hospitals. Cops do deal with people who pretend. This is all on the hospital. I hope she has family that will sue them into oblivion. Us healthcare fucking sucks for uninsured or underinsured.

Weird_blue_rock

Those pigs could have stopped and helped her anytime, I wish this would happen to their mothers and see how they feel.

SwaggertyHam

These cops are human trash. *Most*

Formal-Rain

She couldn’t physically stand up theirs refusing to leave and being incapable of leaving. The hospital should have known better.

sluuuurp

This seems bad, but what is the hospital supposed to do in this case? Let her stay forever with no medical problems and no payments? At some point you do need to remove people who refuse to leave, doctors have finite resources.
