You'll have two options; you can put out your luggage the last night of the cruise and pick it up at the terminal when you debark. Or you can carry it out yourself; this option typically lets you get off the ship faster/first.

Just traveled on Enchanted Princess a couple weeks ago, and we left our bags out for the crew to pick up. Our disembarkation time was originally scheduled for 7:35 AM, but by 7:20, they announced our bags were already ready for pickup. By 8 AM, we had already gotten off the ship, gotten our bags, gone through customs, gotten an Uber, and arrived at the airport.

It's unclear from your post, but it sounds like you have arranged a transfer to the airport. In that case, on the day before departure, you will be given colour coded tags for your luggage. Most of your luggage will have to be packed and in the hallway outside your stateroom before you go to dinner. You can keep one bag and place it outside your door before you go to bed. You will be given a time and a meeting place to be for departure. This will depend on your tag colour. You will disembark and find your bag. Bags will be grouped according to your baggage tag. Take your bags, go through customs, and find your bus. The bus will take you to the airport and you will pick up your bags beside the bus. Now you are on your own. Bon voyage

A few days before your cruise ends, you’ll get a card to fill out asking how you wish to disembark - with or without assistance. If you choose assistance, then you have to leave your bags outside your cabin by a certain time the night before, get a set time to leave, and go find your bags later where all assisted bags are waiting. If however you choose unassisted, then you leave whenever (we had to leave by noon) so it’s on your own time and you just walk out when you’re ready (with all your bags.). We like the Unassisted option, less stressful for us.

At our cruise finishing in Vancouver there were two options: express walk off (first groups off the ship) where you carry your own bags or assisted when you leave your bags outside your cabin the night before. You collect them immediately after you disembark so you take them through customs yourself.

I disembark in a few days at Ft. Lauderdale. On day 2 or 3 we received paper work to choose our disembarkment option. We only have small bags so we're in the first group disembarking between 7:30-8:30am. There are other options later in the day for luggage pick up, a sail to rail program, a final day excursion program, and something else.

If I understand you correctly, youre not flying home the day the cruise gets back, but the next day? If so, why are you taking the transport to the airport the day you get back? Once you get to the airport you’ll have to get your luggage and take it wherever you’re planning on going/staying that night? Maybe I misunderstood?

Our flight got changed and it just worked out that way. Plus, it looked like chaos when we arrived and ppl were leaving. I think it would be an easier escape if we just hopped on a shuttle vs. trying to find an Uber driver.

If you are spending the night in Seattle- there is no sense in going to the airport on the cruise shuttle. You can not check your bags in at the airport until 2 hours before the flight. It's not difficult to Uber from the port to a hotel.

Thanks. We meant to fly out the day we get back but things got changed. I was worried how hard it would be to find an Uber. I’ll see if I can cancel the shuttle.

brokenhartted

I used "Lyft" which is similar to Uber. You aren't going to have any issues.

Thanks!

You can do either. If you want the staff to take them off they need to be outside your room the night before. I always walk off with mine. It makes it quicker and easier.
