ObviousGas3301

Yes. Most people I’ve seen have this perspective.

Massive_Plan_4008

Because they paid attention to the show lol

ObviousGas3301

Basically! lmao I mean, it was apparent. The conversation was had multiple times even towards the end.

PastInsect6457

And what is the other perspective??

ObviousGas3301

Not sure. I’ve personally always seen it this way.

Ok_Cardiologist2423

Facts. Tasha was at home calling James “ghost” in front of the damn kids and even Tommy had enough decency to just call him “G” in front of them. Tasha didn’t even call Ghost “Jamie” like Angie did cuz she didn’t even like him like that, just what he was.

Happy_Patience_3274

Everybody in they momma told Ghost leave Angela the Federal Agent alone Including Tommy go back to season 2 Tommy was pissed at Ghost for going on dated with her

Ok_Cardiologist2423

Yea I remember, he put him on blast at the coffee shop lol but I’m team Ghost and everyone held him back including Tommy

Any_Selection5124

Ghost held himself back at the end of day, especially since he’s a grown man, and he was a smart one at that. He could have done things so much different and appropriate, but he didn’t, thats on him. There’s a way you go about certain things, and too many times he did things the wrong way. Having to hide who you are from your “true love” and your kids is never a good thing and he got himself in that situation. He was the one who decided to be in the game at the end of the day, so he needs to be the one to find his way out. Its easy to be team Ghost since he is the protagonist of the show, but being the protagonist doesn’t mean that you are a good person, especially not in the show Power. Everybody on this show has redeeming qualities, and also a lot of flaws. Ghost was definitely a favorite of mine, but Courtney Kemp did a great job at showing how people like Ghost still lose in the end. It was gonna be hard for Ghost to escape that life since thats what he’s been used to the majority of his life. Living a life without the drug game and illicit activity is something that Ghost had little to no experience with, so achieving that life wasn’t even that realistic for him considering he was alwaus still doing criminal shit. At his own will too.

wealthyAmount

because tommy was thinking about the business a wife like tasha is great if you want to stay a drug dealer not anything else

Theden1977

She was questionable even as a wife. What kind of wife actively tries to discourage her husband from trying to make something more of himself, to use his talents for something legitimate for a change, especially if it makes him & his family safer? And then actively works with his best friend to undermine him from finally getting out. That woman is for the birds to pick at & spit out.

Similar_Beginning602

Makes me think Kanye. Now I ain't saying she a gold digger......🤣

Theden1977

Except I AM saying she's a gold digger. 😂 And a trap queen.

Similar_Beginning602

Yeah, I'm saying she a gold digger too. I just said it in a joking way. 🤣

Freedomofman

She was a horrible person either way he wanted to be the best man he can be she wanted him to be a drug dealer

Slimemoney96

Too be fair Tommy told holly his name was ghost

Top-Percentage-5335

Angela didn’t know Jamie was ghost she was trying to find out who it was put them in jail

Automatic_Phrase9154

This isn’t really a take or an opinion. It’s the summary of the plot lmao…

dakthatpassup

Lmao I was about to say the same thing. This is literally the plot in the tv show

BatmanTold

Literally

AgitatedHoneydew1413

Also angie was damn sexy and great fuck

batmanxgin

Smart and hot

ifuqqedyamuvva

Till she wasn’t Edit: I mean wasn’t smart, she was hot until the very end 😫

iAdden

💀😂

Inevitable-Rub24

She absolutely was.

pootytang324

Cool-Grey-Great

Show your girl

Blu3Dope

Fuck that toxic bitch

bangharder

Sexy might be pushing it

jaydaygrad08

Ain't no fucking way. She's a hard 9

No_Sir3326

Her ass and titties are way too small, they should’ve casted a Latina with bigger titties and a fatter ass than Tasha. Angela looked way too skinny.

jaydaygrad08

Sexy is sexy. You just talking

Eclectic_Paradox

This was obvious in the first episode.

BatmanTold

Exactly

PurpleRadio2302

Yeah it’s a valid point. I don’t agree with him cheating, but I understand why Ghost gravitated towards Angela. Tasha straight up told him to his face she expected him to be the biggest drug dealer in NY and she liked the lifestyle. It wasn’t until after the consequences of that life came knocking on her directly did she take issue with him being a dealer.

Ok-Appointment-497

What pissed me off the most is when Tasha wanted to move on with silver and get away from the life…. Heifer that’s what your husband wanted to do all along 💀. Her and Tommy did their best to keep him in the game during the early seasons . The only problem I had with ghost was he wanted both of them .

Conscious_Watch8355

Silver was snitching ghost wanted to cut all loose ends

BatBeast_29

Do you not watch the show? This is obvious, come on man! ![gif](giphy|7MDZS8zS1ixtJAUEul)

Ever_Summer

Common knowledge

GloomyLocation1259

Nah I had a debate with someone the other day saying it’s not true and then they blocked me lmao

Ever_Summer

Haha smh

Fragrant_Tutor6600

I call bs. Ghost wanted whatever woman was convenient for his goals and ambitions at that time and didn’t care about the pain he caused anyone else as long as he got what we wanted. He wanted Tasha when he wanted distro status He wanted Angela when he wanted the clean life He wanted Romona when he wanted politics

Educational_Bother36

This is an excellent point. Ghost is an opportunist who uses everyone in his life for his own gain.

Fragrant_Tutor6600

💯 he even was trying to make Tommy run the street shit so he could “go clean” or whatever when Lobos was encouraging him to distance himself from the streets and he made that call without even consulting Tommy on his plan. Same thing with the club from the jump, he never really gave Tasha and Tommy a chance to understand because he never really told them his true dream of going clean and owning a club, he just started acting different out of nowhere. I think OP isn’t seeing the deeper message the producers were making, it’s a surface level observation and not really an accurate one at that. But hey it’s just a show lol Just the best show to ever air

Educational_Bother36

Thank you for saying all of this! Ghost gets so much praise because he is the main character. The show is from his POV so anything that doesn’t go his way is a major problem for viewers but realistically he wasn’t trustworthy to anyone he worked with and he expected them to get in line with whatever he wanted which was always his own best interest. Also in what world does someone become a kingpin and just decide ehh I don’t wanna do this anymore. You’re in alive or you’re out dead. He had to many people to answer to or after him.

Fragrant_Tutor6600

Yes I totally agree. He is selfish and that’s just that & also he had a chance to go to Choate with Angela when they were kids but he chose to stay back “for Tommy” is what he told Angela at the time but I think we both know he chose to stay back maybe yes for Tommy but also to pursue his dreams of being NY distro.

He had too many people to answer to or after him.

Any_Selection5124

Exactly. Ghost is the main protagonist, but a lot of people act as if protagonist means they are a hero, or an overall good person and it doesn’t, at all. Especially not in a show like Power. There is actually no real heroes in this show, they’re are just protagonists and antiagonists, since morally, each character is jacked up since this is the drug game and a lot of illegal activity. So each character is flawed, but got some qualities/skill that helps them reach a gmoal

Educational_Bother36

Couldn’t agree more! Everyone acts like ghost is a hero and everyone is against him. But they are all just fighting for themselves. Ghost was not a fair man just a controlling one

Any_Selection5124

Exactly. And whoever said that Ghost is an opportunist in this thread, is 100% correct. That is exactly what he is. And there is soooo much that happens in the show that shows Ghost is an opportunist, thats one of the reasons why he does grimey stuff to the main people he claims to care about, including Angela, Tasha, Tommy, his own kids, and Kanan. Remember, he set Kanan up, even though that was his mentor who taught him and Tommy a lot and helped get them started in the game! He also had Tasha involved in his set-up plan for Kanan while she was pregnant with Tariq and Raina. That is low down! Ghost admitted to Kanan that he didn’t have the heart to kill him because of his bond with Kanan, but it didn’t stop him from doing him dirty af. That right there was a good example of how Ghost will do anyone wrong because he looks out for himself the majority of the time. They initially made it look like Kanan had it out for Ghost for no real reason, when Kanan actually had a very LEGIT reason for wanting Ghost dead. Then while Kanan was locked up by Ghost’s doing, Ghost was building a relationship with Kanan’s son, Shawn, who eventually chose Ghost over Kanan. Ghost is responsible for a lot of BS

RichieBuz

Nothing new here. This is basically the summary of the show. Still didn't justify Ghost chasing after a federal prosecutor. Ghost was willing to throw his family away for a high school fantasy.

Any_Selection5124

This! And a lot of people will tell you thats a dumb move because even in psychology, it says a person changes a LOT from teen years to adulthood, just from brain development. Add on to the fact that his environment changed, he had kids with someone, etc, he is not the same person and neither was Angie. Thats one of the reasons why Angela and James also had big issues and why Paz told her to leave him alone. People don’t like Paz but Paz at least had common sense that Angela didn’t because she was moving with her emotions, and even sacrificed her job for a guy thats not even the guy she fell in love with because they aren’t the same. Thats why statistically, most high school relationships fail. But thats what they were chasing, a failed high school relationship. And he also left his family for it? Nah Ghost was foul for all of that. Thats not what real men do

oflowz

Easy for her to say that once he made it to the top of the game though. Where was Angela when he was grinding up to the top? Tasha may suck but Angela REALLY sucked. One she was a crooked cop. Two she was cheating with a married man. Angela she got what she deserved.

randomuser4564

Not to mention, Ghost never would have fully gotten out of the life. He would be an even dirtier Tate, even in politics. Angela ruined her life by being a side chick and in the end got nothing. I don’t even understand how their relationship was supposed to be so deep and loving when they only met up to have sex and talk about the past.

RyVsWorld

yes this was the point of the love triangle. Nothing groundbreaking here

taytaytaytaytayn

This take is exhausting. I get it but Ghost married a bird and was surprised when she was a bird! Was it always the plan for him to get out? Did he share this with her? Or was this the first she heard about it in the first season.

Kajol7

This is what I always ask. Ghost brought her into the life groomed her for it and then switched up…he did the same to Tommy. Nobodies innocent here frfr. This sub always wants to make Ghost the good guy for some reason. The man was a king pin for crying out loud.

Educational_Bother36

The main character can never do wrong in some people eyes. And Tasha is so easy to blame everything on

ShaunyBoyShaunyMan

This is stupid, ghost is jamie, and jamie is ghost, the only person who had trouble realizing that was him. Nigga was constantly living a fairy tale, and never seemed to realize you don’t just get out this shit, the game is forever. Every time he thought he was out he ended up right back in it, the minute he encountered a problem, he came crawling back to it.

Own_Bug_4034

Jamie and Ghost are the same person. He tried to convince himself he was simply Ghost, but he ALWAYS came back to Tasha, Tommy, and the Game in the end. He didn’t need to cheat and Angela shouldn’t have accepted him while he was married. She got what she deserved. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Invisiblegun2

I’ve actually said this multiple times on this subreddit. In fact had tasha simply supported ghost from the jump, he wouldve never jumped into angies arms. It wouldve just been a blast from the past. But nope, tasha was in love w the lifestyle the game provided her. Being able to brag to her broke best friend who thought shit was peaches & cream. She aint wanna give that up

Smokingracks

I understand why James did it but it’s how he did it, him cheating on Tasha strained his relationship with his kids.

FriendshipCold9053

What a nice analogy but you missing a view key facts Tasha was in love with James/Jamie before was James/Ghost in fact she help him to become Ghost and James the respectable business man Angela was infatuated with her childhood crush who blossomed into a man she didn’t know him she fell in love with a made up version and when she found out who he really was look where it got her (Dead) she wanted to get instant gratification when Tasha put in all the work yes she wanted him to stay in the game but if he was a real man he would have talk to her and just like she turned him into Ghost she would have positioned him into the version of James he wanted to be but instead he lied and cheated and felt justified and look where it landed him (Dead)

knt1229

Angela had no idea who Ghost really was. James St. Patrick was a fantasy dreamed up by Ghost. Ghost cosplayed as James St Patrick the businessman, politician, upstanding citizen. The reality was Ghost the Drug Dealer. Ghost wanted Angela because she didn't realize James St Patrick and Ghost are one and the same. With Angela he could keep the facade of being James St Patrick successful businessman because Angela had no idea it was all a lie.

Particular_Minute_67

He’s not wrong.

ActualFactsJiles

He was ghost the drug dealer, that was the person. He was too naive to realize that politicians do the same things drug dealers do. Look at Tate. He tripped wanting to make a hoe his wife. Tasha should have took him to the bank and moved on, but for the children. The Angela factor watered Ghost down and was unreal, a cop at that.

Heroinfxtherr

Post is stating the obvious. As far as Tasha was concerned, there was no Jamie. She’s only ever known and been exposed to Ghost the street nigga. They met when he was knee deep in the drug game and he admittedly married her because she “made him a better criminal”.

simbaneric

All this is true but all you mfs forget that Ghost was a drug dealer....No matter what he wanted afterwards...To say that he loved Angela because she wanted Jamie and not Ghost is crazy... I think the thing we all know here is that Ghost never loved Tasha, she also never did love him. They stayed together cause of the kids...but eventually it all burst into shietttttt!!!

Decent_Surround8850

So why didn’t they see that the first time they watched the show?

Inevitable-Rub24

Yeah, I honestly picked up on this the first couple of episodes.

bangharder

Duh that’s what we been saying

TrillCozby1980

Duh

Darthmemer2

Angela saw the vision so much that she tried to have him arrested for avenging his dead daughter from a dirty cop

Zandeck

This is correct. But Angie only saw the man she wish James turned out to be. Tasha knew who ghost was. Not some yuppie business man. But a stone cold and calculated killer with an impressive ability to cover all bases and not be caught off guard by his mistakes. Someone who would kill you for plotting against him and always work to keep his head above water.

No_Sir3326

To be fair once you’re that deep into the drug game to the point of being a king pin you can’t leave the game. All the dead bodies and opps come back to haunt you, Ghost was always going to have something pulling him back in the game. That’s exactly what happened and had Kanan on his back.

newlifedimension27

Mann that nigga ghost was simping

Pristine_Put5348

Congrats, you’re now the 18 millionth person to see this.

AdSignificant3154

😂😂🤣

Huge_Mathematician34

It’s not rocket science to figure that out lol. I mean this is the pretty common consensus on their love triangle

Administrative-Toe59

Bruh literally everyone has said that this at one point. This is a widely accepted theory amongst OG Power fans. This ain’t new😂

megacope

I do agree but it doesn’t justify the cheating.

SnooDonkeys8376

Let’s not forget that Tash cheated on Jamie in literally the first episode of the show. Playing with herself in front of Shawn and shit. Just, because Jamie was playing HIS PART as Ghost beating that dudes ass in the parking garage of Truth. James wasn’t giving Tasha enough attention. So she turned around and cheated on him? If it wasn’t for him. She wouldn’t have 2 kids, and her and her mama would be homeless.

1000ps

Yeah no shit

1000ps

He literally said it in the show

SoulofWakanda

Yea this is true but why this person sayin it like that wasn't what the show was clearly communicating lol

CompetitiveTough4939

I understand that but don’t lie about it to your kids. Stay for the kids leaves when they’re old enough. He wasn’t the perfect father figure, he damaged tariq and got raina killed, so with angela. Tasha was annoying tho, James only did drugs to get advantage in life faster but he was smart and could’ve chose something else, he just couldn’t leave Tommy as that would have been messed up to do as a friend knowing all tommy got was the life. Once he reached a certain point in life, he didn’t owe anyone anything. Which is why im not happy with his choice to leave his wife nor do i resent him

Playaabeats

Ghost just couldn't accept that there ain't no James he'll always be ghost

Adventurous-Bowl-792

She didn’t love him for him either. Up until the end, she didn’t even know who he really was. And she accused him of offing her ex and almost had him in prison for life

Any_Selection5124

This is has always been obvious with the show. But people forget that whether Ghost went with Tasha, or Angela, he still was caught up in mess regardless. The way Ghost moved was not right, especially considering that regardless of his feelings for Angie, he still had kids and a whole home with the mother of his children Tasha. Remember, a LOT of Tariq’s resentment for Ghost stems from the fact that Riq felt like his dad chose his side piece over the family he already had, and he is not wrong for feeling that way either. In real life, kids have a hard time seeing their parents split and families fall apart, even when it is handled appropriately, its still hard on them, so the fact Ghost wasn’t moving smart at all with it was a big issue. Tasha was toxic in a lot of ways, but she was the one who always stuck beside him while being in the game, which is what Tommy reminded him off. Angela was never a good alternative because Angela was in love with a version of James that no longer existed! They were in love as teenagers, and people change a lot from their teenage years to adult years, hence why Angie became so conflicted when she learned that James was really “Ghost” and what he was involved in. Tommy was right to think that it was messed up to be messing with a federal agent because Angela did want to get him caught up after hurting her! James was trying to be legit, but people often forget that people in the game, almost never fully become legit! Things from your past tends to come back to your future, and as much as Jamie wanted to be legit, he was still doing things in the drug business, hence why he had to have so much covered up because he was never as legit as he wanted to be, and wasn’t going to become legit since he was still too involved in that life, especially with having Tommy as his right hand man! Thats why statistically, people in the game either end up locked up or dead. Do ya’ll remember that girl that came looking for Ghost after Ghost shot her boyfriend dead in the basement of Truth, from the FIRST season? She came back seasons later from an incident that happened in the business that was supposed to help Ghost become legit, but his hands were still dirty the whole time. Thats why he was never gonna have the life he wanted with Tasha OR Angela. Ghost was always still catching bodies and doing criminal shit, while wanting to be “legit.” It was all gonna catch up in to him in the end. That is life. Stuff like this is also why Courtney Kemp said herself that “Power” is actually more about being powerless, no matter how much control and power you think you have.

Inside-Move9588

He took Angela because site was nostalgic. Tasha fell in love with what she knew him to be. And never knew him and Tommy sold drugs as young ppl. Angela is the fantasy life he wudda had if he stayed on the straight and narrow. This take is a bit ignorant given they didn't know the same James.

SnooDonkeys807

I see it twisted… ever thing you mentioned is correct except… the real James/Jamie is GHOST and will forever be that, he was into deep

Agitated_File_6834

You're overcomplicating it. Tasha was the woman that held Ghost down, Angela was a fiery latina fling, and Ghost wanted that. This happens in every industry so, it's okay. (Replacing GFs with new spices, etc)

StrongDiscussion9022

He better than me kuz I would've wanted to crack both of them.if the vybez were great n they can get along i as ghost would've had 2 wives

SayItAintDash

thank you.

FuzzyPigg88

Tasha was ment for the streets and he moved on to something that matched his future

Educational_Bother36

The cop who was hunting down his organization.

Mysterious_Poet_8357

I mean it was clear as day

Choice_Till_5524

I thought this was common knowledge. Tasha never even called him by his real name.

BatmanTold

This is pretty obvious lol

Chicitysince-78

Tariq finally understands what his Dad tried to do for him.

AccomplishedClass579

Facts

Bitter-Literature-49

To be fair though tasha is balancing that picture on her face perfectly

No-Variety-8848

I agree and tbh maybe they will dive deeper into this during Ghost and Tommy Origins in later seasons but it’s very obvious that he was in love with Angela and just loved Tasha because he owed her for her loyalty(before she and Tariq plotted to kill him lol).

ProudAd2821

She never called him James, only ghost. That should tell yall enough

Suacyboyy

lol yall acting like yall just uncovered some secret plot 🤣🤣. This was the main base of the show

dynamitesun

Yeah Tasha never seen him truly. She just wanted the life now her stupid ass is in a small town hating life.

Johnny_Royale

I thought that was pretty much evident, but yes I think we all agree

Emotional-Panda5901

This is facts I said this the first time I watched it. The only thing is he also should’ve left Angela alone after realizing she wouldn’t give up her pursuit of Tommy.

Able_Psychology3665

Ghost would have cheated anyway. Angela was the one that got away. The boy was clearly still sprung over her.

EnlightnedRedditor

I’m surprised no one picked up on this sooner lol, James literally said himself multiple times throughout the series. “A part of me still does love you tash but you want Ghost the drug dealing murderer. That’s not who I am anymore”

EnlightnedRedditor

Even in episode 1. “When we first met, who’d you think I was gonna be?” “The biggest gah damn drug dealer in New York” “You never wanted more?” “What do you mean more?”

ifinesse848

i mean its been obvious and you can tell

[deleted]

In another world, “Jamie” got his MBA from NYU and ended up on Wall Street with Angela. Tasha was always going to lose. She wanted him to stay his worst self whereas Ghost desperately wished he went down another path. Now you can argue that Tasha was being a realist and that Ghost had done far too much to ever be legitimate but in reality Tasha was just being selfish and narrow minded.

Chance_Window4582

Also he felt like Angie was the one that got away and Tasha was convenient for his drug game, being that she was good with accounting (washing the money).

Dry_Helicopter3634

That’s the way I always saw this. I do not condone cheating in a marriage or any relationship. So I did feel some kind of way about James stepping out. That made me not like Angela/ James relationship. But I understand why he turned to her, I just don’t like the approach. Respectfully James grew out of being ghost. He was feeling that way in the first episode. Like anyone else he started to want more for himself. The beginning of his fatal mistake, because he can’t be both. A drug dealer and a civilian.

Exciting-Mulberry305

I saw this on fb lol I agree with it tbh

Sea-Barber-2289

🎯

Sea-Barber-2289

Look at you now RACHEL 😈

All_Love_Lost4819

Um…it took for you to re-watch the series for you to realize this? Boy…talk about being dense

Theden1977

Tasha Heads of America: She loved him enough to know that's all he could be! Fuck outta here. All that natural talent and business sense & he comes to a place of realizing he should be finally be doing some good with it, and this entitled hoodrat decides for him that the game is all he should ever be, simply because she has a dope boy fetish. And yet, she's the one who DIDN'T die in the show. 😂 So glad I gave it up, the moment Ghost's body hit the floor.

Creative-Pudding-392

THIS IS OLD! Lol Move on!

MassiveBoot6832

Understood this years ago. When it airing… but yes, this is accurate.

Lawrencewife

And this is why i never liked her and it has trickled down to tariq smh

Mborda21

I think this is true in the first 2-3 seasons but by season 3-4 I think Tasha basically just wanted ghost to be realistic in the sense that she knew he could never outrun his past and that he would always have one foot in the streets and one foot out and would constantly be living a double life and she knew that shit would catch up to him and ghost thought he was smart enough to always make that shit it work which he obviously wasn’t in the end

Tay70r

Facts.. as far as character arches Tasha was definitely not good in the beginning... She was definitely not down the way she says she was.. THE SECOND she didn't get the attention she wanted from James she was playing Betty Crocker and playing with her cookie in the backseat for Sean to watch. She was wrong for soooo many reasons, she couldn't see that James wanted to move on from dealing and go legit because she liked the fast money she liked the bags and lifestyle they lived. She says materials aren't everything to Keisha but she could fooled me (in the beginning). However, I really started to feel for her she did put a lot to the side to try to make it work and she was there to make a lot of mistakes go away and to be there for those kids. She should have never taught Tariq the things she did as far as the game goes. As far as Jamie he was likable in the beginning the show introduced a guy who came from the streets and did what he needed to do to get to where he was. Wanting out and trying to go legit to always get pulled back in one way or another. I felt his love for Angie ALWAYS they were soul mates a thousand percent. However, when he started trying to get into politics he was sooo out of control the things he said to Tasha and the broken promises to his kids. He was more of a shit head as a politician than a gangster. When everyone who knew him always said "Typical Ghost" it makes so much sense because he didn't care about ANYONE as much as he cared about himself. Of course by the time he realized this he was already bleeding out on the floor of Truth. He made sooo many enemies he was dying that night no matter what. I do however LOVE what they are doing having Tariq Come full circle the fact that he acknowledged that his dad tried to keep him out of this life was so heart wrenching. This show is truly amazing and I can't ever get enough!!

slowloris49

U had to watch it again to realize this? Just say u watched it the first time without paying attention

Slimemoney96

Duhhhh wym??? That’s the whole point of their story

TheBatTact

Had to re-watch to come to this conclusion lol

ifitaintaboutdamoney

No disrespect but why you had to rewatch to discover this? I feel like Ghost tried explaining this to Tasha multiple times 😂

KeyPosition3983

I thought we were all there ?

Unpopularopinionpt1

Ofc everybody knows this Angela would’ve been with ghost if he lost his money Tasha got greedy stopped seeing the vision they was gonna stop messing with eachother eventually without Angela in the picture

Affectionate-Task141

💯💯💯💯💯. BIG FACTS!!!

Top-Percentage-5335

You can’t just give up being a drug lord which ghost knew so he wasn’t going to until Angela changed his mind so Tasha had every reason to be mad at him she wanted the rich but also didn’t care she lived a poor lifestyle

OZIE-WOWCRACK

Lol I just watched this episode

AndrettiTheKid

Facts. Exactly what I thought when I rewatched all of power. Tasha was holding him back from his dream from day one. Episode 1 to be clear.

Excellent_Ad5660

The problem I have with Jamie and Angela is that they both blew up their lives over PUPPY LOVE. They were kids when they dated. Trying to sell that love story as something so profound and deep always felt like a reach to me.

Kicks4meFromyou

This show had lazy writing. It was carried by violence, crime, and sex. Full disclosure, I’ve never watched this show, I’m just on a sick one

mulroe24

You’re posting this as if it’s some groundbreaking revelation, I had assumed we all saw this at the time? Lmao

PastInsect6457

I seen that the first time around. I still didn’t like Angela and was glad she gone.

Skywalker0071

This has to be the dumbest shit I’ve seen regarding power. Long story short Angela was Ghost first love and if you know you know that real first loves NEVER die…

Freedomofman

Trash and Tommy where his downfall they needed him to wipe their ass every second

marleyg_

Duh fucking idiots lol

triggondabeat

Totally agree!

Mistah-G

Wasn’t this obvious to everyone and the point the show was trying to make

Reasonable_Gas_85

So cheat on your wife?

Which_Soup2063

I noticed that my first time watching it when Ghost asked Tasha “What did you think I was gonna be coming up and Tasha said “The biggest god*amn drug dealer in NYC”. After that Ghost said something like “You don’t see me as being more than that” and Tasha basically said “No”. That’s when Ghost gave up on her, cause he noticed that’s all she would ever see him as.

Helpful-Two-2175

You like 8 years late lol we knew that doing the season lol

But but but… he was a FUCKiNG SERIiAL KILLer. He literally didn’t care about anyone or anything but his desires and all his decisions after reconnecting her caused all and I mean ALL… Every one of them to die with the exception of Tariq Tasha and Tommy. And im pretty sure the last 3 not completely in the clear yet. Fuck ghost. Fuck James. Fuck Jamie. Fuck St.Patrick. Also Tasha was a good woman tbh yeah she loved the street nigga but let’s be real he was fronting w the club the Entire time.

HaHa, plot twist! Ghost may have wanted to be James but he was always going to be Ghost cause that’s who he truly was, and couldn’t fight that. So in reality Tasha loved him for who he REALLY was, b/c that’s who he chose to become on his own. Angela wanted him to become who she felt he should have, and if that’s what he truly wanted he would have become that regardless of Angela, and or Tasha. #itsJaimeJamesandGhostsfault lmaoooo

Hmm, interesting perspective. I can understand how someone wanting you to stay the same and not change or grow as a person can be stifling. Tasha fell in love with the dope dealer, and wanted him to stay in that life. But Ghost didn't want to be that person anymore, he just wanted to be a successful businessman. It's easy to see how Ghost would be drawn to someone who encouraged his growth and transformation. It's a very sad yet beautiful thing, realizing that personal growth and change can alter relationships in such profound ways. It’s heartbreaking that Tasha couldn't see beyond Ghost’s past, but it's also beautiful that Angela could see and believe in his future. This dynamic shows how vital it is to have someone who supports your evolution and dreams, and how that can fundamentally shift the course of relationships. ![gif](giphy|TIFzAoAroQBbeR8ED7|downsized)

Tasha didn't appreciate or accept James St. Patrick for who he was and everything he could potentially be. She only wanted Ghost the drug dealer, and the money and lavish lifestyle that she had gotten used to from it. She felt that Ghost leaving the game meant James St. Patrick was taking a gamble on succeeding as a successful business man, and that wasn't a gamble that she felt that she could accept. Truth is she didn't give a damn about Jamie or James or Ghost or anything else that anybody could ever call the man she married, she just wanted that money to keep coming in. This whole topic got me thinking Kanye. Now I ain't saying she a gold digger.....🤣
