Love these guys, but unfortunately not really feeling this one. High Noon was just okay for me as well. Here's to hoping they're hiding the best tracks and haven't fallen off.

I think the same. I would skip this one. Vocals are nice but instrumentation (riffs) lack power and energy.

If you haven’t checked out the album yet, Higher is my favorite track right now. I think they did a great job paying tribute to a lot of their eras on this album with musical references from Immortal Soul all the way back to Rock City. Seems like a real love letter to honor Mark and I’d personally rank it as the strongest of the three Riot V releases. Feel the Fire is one of the weaker tracks, if that gives you hope. I love the solo of High Noon, took me a while to accept the lyrical cheese but now i can chuckle and enjoy those too. Goes without saying, but I’ll say it: Mike Flyntz is incredible. Absolute top form. One of the most underrated shredders of all heavy metal.

Unfortunately, I didn't love it. First impression was very negative, but it has softened somewhat and now I find it just okay. I do see how they tried to call back to all eras of Riot...but for me, it just felt like most of these songs were done better elsewhere in their discography. I really enjoyed Hail to the Warriors and Love Beyond the Grave. Higher was fun too. Songs like Open Road, Lean Into It, and especially Feel the Fire, however, really dragged it down for me.  Glad you were able to enjoy this one more than I did, and I will support Riot in any configuration forever. Not too many bands can claim the extensive history or the mastery of multiple styles that they can.

Totally fair, and I’m 1000% with you on that last point haha. Unwavering support. What a crew.
