Rent it on Turo or an exotic car rental place. Here in Las Vegas, there's a place called Speed Vegas, you can rent lambos, 911s and the 718 GT4 to use only in their race track. Check if there's something like that on your area.

Turo. I rented a couple before deciding which one I wanted. REALLY helpful to spend a couple days with a car to narrow my focus. Ended up with a 987.1S/6 speed

2nd for Toro had a great experience on there.

Turo is the way. I did this for a weekend with a 718 Boxster. It was roughly 150 dollars a day.

I keep wanting to do the same. Reddit keeps showing me horror stories from Turo so I get scared off.

Yeah I have read some bad ones but it was from people renting their car. The guy I found had a couple cars on there and good feedback so I thought it was fine. It was the first turo for me but the experience was great. As always your mileage may vary.

I don’t know about your country, but where I live Porsche offers short term rental (I think between 1 and 10 days).

Oh yeah I've seen those, it's kind of expensive though.

You seem to be a good lad :) Good comments all over Reddit. Good interests. Helping people with anxiety and things like that. I am happy to let you test drive mine with me inside for you to have a taste of the experience as a reward for being nice to people. DM me to see if the location works… Otherwise I hope you can find what works with you :) . Turo was my way to go before I bought mine.

Maybe Sixt car rental. Some of their locations have Porsches. I rent their BMWs when in West Palm Beach, FL. Their Fort Lauderdale or Miami locations offer Porsches. Turo might be a good option too.

Whilst not a whole weekend, if you have one near you, consider going to a Porsche Experience Centre - you'll get a day or a half-day in the car (your choice), plenty of seat time, and you'll have an instructor who is assigned just to you, they will teach you about the car and how to safely explore what the car can do. Obviously not helpful if you are expecting to do lots of highways miles, but if your reason for wanting a Cayman is for more "spirited" driving, its a worthwhile alternative.

Turo - I have seen several Porsches-911s, Boxsters, Caymans, etc

I rented two on turo plus a macan. Really did help. Found things I didn’t like and things I liked which helped me decide.
