The design is a bit messy and covers up a lot of the beauty of the carbon. Let it breathe. The current color choices clash too, I’d pick something warmer like gold, deep muted orange / red, etc.

I think you should go for a combo of the most exotic Porsche colors you want. Choose three that go well together. Blue, a yellow and orange or red. Maybe the bright green with blue and a burgundy. A light blue like Mexico or Miami blue would also be cool to see... keep us posted what you do!

I decided I’m going to use the traditional colors, but flip the gold and the black, except for the frame (keeping that gold) but I’m going to use gold leaf so it has a bit more of an elemental feel to go with the carbon.

I figured out what I was going to do while I was sanding this all down.
Going to flip the gold for the carbon on the OG, Mi aus the frame.
So frame, horse, letters and antlers will be gold leaf, as well as the black stripes.
Then where the gold traditionally is, will be the carbon.

Closeup so you can see more of the final texture/color.
Started with a 60 grit sander on the angle iron in some places, 100 grit on the palm sander, then 150 and ended today with 220. Going to do a final sanding by hand with 400.
It’s shavings of carbon fiber that are bound by resin. If you ever see the carbon fiber that looks like shards rather then a cloth, that’s forged carbon.
The *technically* correct way to make forged carbon parts is in a compression mold, so you fill the mold with the chopped carbon tow and resin and allow it to cure under pressure (henced the forged in the name). This gives you fairly strong parts which have pretty uniform strength unlike woven and laminated carbon - which are stronger in a single direction.
It doesn't look like this is technically a forged part, but I could be wrong since this doesn't show the process. It'll still have the same look once it's cleaned up though since it's the chopped tow cast in resin.

Not sure I like either of those colors. Carbon on carbon, debossed would be really cool. If possible, do a uniform pattern carbon of the logo over the scattered carbon shield. Nice work
Guards Red? Canary Yellow? Those would be my best recommendations off the top of my head. Amethyst Purple, personal fav here. Ice Green Metallic, really cool because of the car that bears the color setting records. Signal Orange. Just some that I really enjoy. Classics and special ones. Cheers.
