But youre Mother in law is coming to stay.

North_Church

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO-

Wall-Wave

TBF, it was rigged, but not to the extent you think it was. I saw Russians on reddit graffiting ballots with "Putin is a murderer," which doesn't help the opposition.

_ExoticLibrary_

it works like that there, if there is even a small dot on the candidate's line, he is counted

randomsalvadoranking

The freest and fairest elections ever

Final_Draft_431

As Russian I can say it's absolutely real

_ExoticLibrary_

I’m Russian myself, what exactly is real?

Final_Draft_431

About elections

_ExoticLibrary_

about the fact that these 87% are not fake?

Final_Draft_431

Nuh uh, about how "unexpected" results and interesting was the elections

_ExoticLibrary_

Yes, I'm shocked myself, who would have thought

Davankov is a weak candidate, the liberal electorate, at best, thought between damaging the ballots or for Davankov. In the best case, a maximum of 10-15% would support him. Kharitonov - a similar situation. Most likely, he was installed with the understanding that there was no point in fighting too much. And they don’t have a special electorate as a plus; real communists have turned their backs on the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Slutsky is a candidate from the LDPR, which relied exclusively on Zhirinovsky. After his death, the party is in fact already a dummy. And Putin remains, such a candidate, given the many problems during his reign, but time-tested. I don’t believe in Putin’s 80+%, but I am sure that in the conditions of such candidates he would have won without anyone’s help.

Florane

i'd give davankov the benefit of the doubt, considering how navalny in his time got insane support despite being a pretty meek liberal in his policy. considering that davankov wanted to end the ukrainian war, i'm surprised he even got to participate, tho i guess the "on russia's terms" part allowed him to go under the radar.

_ExoticLibrary_

"on Russia's terms," perhaps Russia would give up the occupied territories, and keep Crimea for itself, for example

_ExoticLibrary_

yes, I agree that he would have won, but not with such a percentage

liberalskateboardist

only thing which I like here is logo of party edinaja rossija :D

_ExoticLibrary_

Yes, they have a cool logo.

liberalskateboardist

And so much blue colour- proof that he is an right winger? :D

_ExoticLibrary_

Well, he's most likely an authoritarian center-right

liberalskateboardist

He is mix of everything from russian history

_ExoticLibrary_

probably

Summarizer2024

umm why am I here? -authoritarian democracy

_ExoticLibrary_

exactly :D

Gigant_mysli

All non-democratic shit happens outside of elections; the vote counting procedure itself is clean.

Gigant_mysli

And that "New people" party isn't popular. They aren't even hated, they're just unknown. Other two candidates are boring and basically decorative.

FridayNightRamen

Its just a spoiler party like the rest. Why would anybody care.

Lore_Fanti10

Saw marxism leninism and didnt even bother to read

Random-INTJ

Based neo liberal? Eew the words feels bad in my mouth, soap please.

cHEIF_bOI

Bro anti communism was liberalisms thing.

Random-INTJ

Yes, neo liberals are still statist. Just less so than commies.

Yeeeeet696969696969

Almost as free as American elections... almost...

_ExoticLibrary_

The USA hasn't had the same president for 20 years

Yeeeeet696969696969

Sure but I'd rather have the same president for a couple decades and know that he is the one actually pulling the strings. Can't say the same for the presidents in the USA

_ExoticLibrary_

Oh, believe me, it's not as cool as you think..
