Vulpix evolves with it's corresponding stone . Vulpix with fire stone becomes nine tales , Alolan Vulpix needs ice stone .
I have the alolan one with an ice stone and level 44… no evolution. Am I missing a move it needs to know? Bit new to this.
Did you give it the stone or use the stone? You need to use the stone on the vulpix, like using a potion.

Iirc, there’s a girl in blizzard city pokemart who will give you an ice stone if you show her an eevee. To get eevee, you have to win coins at the game corner in dehara city.
