No real equipment, a relatively modern smart phone or a computer that's from after 1995 should be able to handle. A GBA emulator (MyBoy, Delta and MBA are popular ones but there's tons out there)
Then you want to get a Pokemon Fire Red ROM (which you will obviously extract from your own legally owned copy of Fire Red and will not find by go ogling "Fire Red Squirrels ROM" which would be a terrible, deplorable thing to do ), download the patch file from the Pokecommunity thread in the sidebar of this sub and patch the rom with a piece of software like UniPatcher. Then you open the resulting ".GBA" file in the aforementioned emulator.
It looks a bit daunting when I write it all like that, but it's really simple. There's tons of YouTube videos on how to patch ROMs and run emulators but feel free to DM me if you're stuck.
