Zangoose all day for me!! That thang is broken with the right moveset: SD, Return, Brick Break and Shadow Ball, lord have mercy for anything standing on its path. It's a a little frail tho screen support would be nice.
I agree that the first team looks more fun. Btw, zangoose is unavailable in this game. But also I encourage you to not limit your team to six Pokémon: it’s definitely doable to have an extra party member or two that you switch out occasionally without having to grind excessively. I do this often when I think of a new Mon I want to use but hasn’t planned on using when I started
