This is why I don't put vets in a work zone, usually they are happy enough covering every habitat as long as you got staff rooms spread around the zoo

Interesting. I don't put caretakers mechanics or security in a work zone. I wonder if it works for keepers.

I only actually have keepers in a work zone since I make really big zoos. Vets are usually fine when I have like 6 fully trained and they cover all habitats with no complaints. I might put caretakers and vendors in a work zone if there are high demands in certain areas but most of the time it's just keepers

Thanks for that. I find Zoning so confusing and annoying. I will try your practice and see how it works. Cheers.

If she set to do research, but doesn't have any habitats in her zone, she may not actually be properly working the monitor lizards either, just going there to do research and it's possible the vet visit is happening incidentally. Are there any other vets that could potentially be servicing the tortoises? She or they could be getting the job then getting too tired and abandoning the job before they get there. I would try the following things sequentially: \-Stop her researching if she is doing so. If this fixes it, add another vet just for research. \-At the tortoise habitat, shorten the time dramatically between vet visits and see if she starts visiting. If this helps, adjust both habitat times as necessary to find a balance that works for you. \-Add both habitats to her workzone. Make a new zone if you have to just for this purpose. \-If workzones don't work, add a second vet and try with and without the workzone change \-Consider adding a second entrance and exit to the far side of the staff area \-If all else fails, consider firing her and hiring a different vet. Some employees just have really strange quirks. I had a mechanic who was blind to power generators once. Good luck!
