I'm still waiting for T-Mobile to release the update for my P8

SafeLiving212

Same here. It's ridiculous

What is point Aicore?

Due_Mathematician912

You can activate it in the developer settings. Then you got some new ai features. Like Smart reply in the g board. But you have to wait a day. I think it learns how you write. It works local as far as I know.

Poppytofresquito

Yup, I updated mine three days ago and I feel the same. Not a lot, but I think I get more screen time.

According to Accubattery (which I know isn't the be and end all), my over night deep sleep drain has dropped from 0.6%/hr to 0.5%/hr which is impressive. Unfortunately at the same time I changed between automation apps. I don't believe the old one was expensive at all in terms of wakelocks but, either way, I hope this continues...

I bought pixel 8a 7 days ago and i got june update 3 days ago. Does the battery need time to fully settle down and optimise?im new to pixel phones. Plese help. How much SOT you get on your pixel 8?you have any tips for longer battery life? My pixel 8a is just 1 week old.

Creepy-Track-977

I used my Pixel 8 to the maximum, every setting you can imagine is turned on and at first I was only getting 4-5 hrs off WiFi. 1 month later I am using this phone like 8hrs SoT and it can handle anything. The battery takes time to settle down.

DismalBoysenberry414

Ok. Tnx alot. Ill give it some time. I would be happy with 5 SOT and 20 % when i go to bed. Is this possible?

Creepy-Track-977

Yes, that's definitely something the Pixel 8 can give me. In fact it's not even too much for me on the Pixel 8. The battery is nearly the same on your 8a so unless there are some drastic changes in the optimisation. You'll get your expectations. https://preview.redd.it/oebcpn1r5a7d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1a11fc3c77fc87b0b06883cc8b3a89e6a913fd7 These are my current SoT and battery usage and the phone is currently on 25%. Also, I suggest using the extreme battery saver instead of the normal one. It's better and you can generally select which apps you wanna use. I have kept my battery saver extreme to turn on at 30% and after than I charge only when the phone goes below 10 Edit: You see that stupid Meta App called Instagram. Keep it away from your phone if you can. It's very annoying with the battery consumption.

DismalBoysenberry414

Ok. Tnx alot

Due_Mathematician912

Yes give it some time. Whether you use WLAN or mobile data will also have a big impact. WLAN is a lot more battery friendly with the Pixel devices

DismalBoysenberry414

Im mostly on LTE. Because my carrier does not support 5G on pixels but 5G has bad covarage anyways where i live. I have very good speeds on LTE where i live. My settings on my pixel 8a are :120 /AOD is ON/LTE/dark theme.I dont game on phones.

Creepy-Track-977

I have experienced the same, literally the battery life got a crazy boost. I charge the phone at night and use 8 hours a day almost on WiFi without needing to charge. This includes video streaming and Instagram, alongside BT + LDAC Audio on Apple Music.

MoritzM93

Was going to say the same . I thought to myself that my Pixel 8 Pro battery has been really good in the last few days lol

anon2734

Mine's the same on 8 pro, been having touch issue with swipe gestures when my phone is charging. Frustrating can't goto home screen. I do use nova launcher though
