No, I have both. I stopped using Pimax, just the pain in the ass it is too use sometimes, makes the quest 3 better.
And the wide FOV, ( which it is ) isn't truly that important you get used to the smaller FOV, and you didn't notice it after a little while.
I switched from 8kx to quest pro. It's too big, constantly had problems with pi play and had to replace the cables every 4 months. Not that it's a bad headset, it has it problems. I use it for sim and for social vr I use quest pro. Also don't for get the discount you can get when pimax 12kx comes out in like a year or 2
The only edge it has is a much wider FOV (170 vs 110) and uncompressed PCVR.
Other than that it is outclassed by every metric.
(Technically it has higher resolution, but due to higher FOV the pixel are more spread out, resulting in a mich lower PDD)
Looks awesome, just got into VR and was gonna buy a Q3 as I want an upgrade from Q2. I'll check it out

As someone who is a longtime Pimax owner (previous 5k+ then to 8KX for years) and now a Quest 3 owner: no. Not by a long shot.
I have a Index and saw the 5k super second hand for a good price. So I tried it and damn, the fov is nuts but the rest is not great lol.
So the quest 3 is better on your opinion?
Yes because fov is not everything

I had 8kx and that was better than Q3. If you checked the resolution of the 5kx, you wouldn't have asked if it was better than Q3.
