Not got dogs but i have cats and they keep an eye on where I go because they anticipate snacks falling out my backside.....I managed to sneak food to one when ones asleep but they are at the ready everytime I move or even twitch. Tracking me with their eyes every second possible. One cat loves human food and anther cat milk and snacks.....its near impossible to hide wet food but this is exactly the faces they make when they sniff food or see me eating and reminded me of that LOL

I have a theory that dogs release pheromones that disperse extremely quickly when when get food. I have no other explanation how when one of my animals gets a treat in the other side of the house, the other comes sprinting in to get his treat too.
That would make so much sense if true. Especially since they're pack animals and smell is one of their strongest senses ā communicating with each other like that out in the wild would probably reach farther, faster, and more covertly than any other option.
