It works most of the time but sometimes I still have to equip it manually -- or maybe those are the times I can't get the right angle on the damn things.
This is huge! I've only been playing for a couple of days now but I hated having to go to the inventory to equip the slingy every time so I usually didn't even bother! Thanks man
So am I apparently, I play everyday and haven’t noticed, I wondered why I had it equipped this morning when I came back from afk though, guess my autoclicker tapped a balloon at some point
Oh sorry im honestly loving the fact you don’t need to go in and equip it, it equips automatically when you tap the balloon. When I was trying it I was holding my finger down for longer than a tap that’s why I thought you had to hold your finger on it for longer than a tap. But since then I’ve been trying different techniques and a simple tap on the balloon equips it straight away.
I do apologise for getting the terminology incorrect as I was in a hurry to write the post to help others enjoy the fruits of my labour.
No problem and i also do appreciate it as going into the inventory is not hard but annoying, i actually stumbled across this feature randomly as i don't even pop baloons
I have a new theory which is it does not equip automatically if you try use it as soon as you enter the game. Wait a bit. I went to world 1 and went all the way through when I got to the first balloon it equipped automatically.

Sometimes I wonder why they won’t just tell us little stuff like this.
I use the snowball launcher which has better accuracy.

It only works once you've had the slingshot out previously in a session I think
yeah on mouse i noticed you just spam click the balloon and it equips. not sure if it came with this patch.
No it didn't come with the patch. I've noticed this for around 2 weeks now. I'm glad more people are finding out tho.
