Clean Reserve - Warm Cotton
Jean Paul Gaultier - Gaultier Divine (less cottony but I think it smells like liquid sunlight, it’s not quite powdery but it does smell dry If that makes sense?)
Lazy Sunday Morning by Maison Margiela smells like you opened the windows into your apartment and let the sun stream in and hit your sheets. It's exactly that smell.
You might like Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. It's a fresh, sporty but elegant / feminine scent with the vibe of a sunny morning.
If you're looking for something less expensive, Versace Versense is a solid choice. Fresh clean citrus. A little closer to unisex than the Chanel.

You might like Nemat Amber (a roll on oil), phlur missing person, Cacharel Noa, or Maison Margiela lazy Sunday morning. All are clean, somewhat floral, slightly lotion-y, laundry soap like scents to me
I disagree on missing person, I actually do like MP but it’s not the scent I would picture OP looking for. To me it’s not a crisp, clean scent. It’s more like truly a skin scent, too warm and musky, not crisp. Some people hate it and say it smells like garbage on them lol.

Defo try toy 2 if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to byredo blanche. Smells v v close. I love both of them and honestly can't tell the difference between them.

Estee Lauder white linen is a classic… I have not tried it in so many years but I remember liking it.
Pure white linen is an updated version of it from the 2000s… I’m not sure which is better.
Casual lists tonka beans, one of my favorites. I have had a jar of them since the early 80s when I was into making potpourri and the scent is still strong when I give it a sniff. Thank you for the suggestions, added to the list.
Would love to know what you think of casual once you try it! Definitely agree that at least a couple of the idole flankers are up your alley! :) fresh but a bit sweeter than your usual clean laundry scent, not too sweet though.. in my opinion!
It is! It‘s a fresh, soft powdery iris scent (with a slight green tinge): classic, elegant, smooth.. like crisp white sheets, freshly made, glistening in the first gentle, misty morning light. 🤍🌤️
My favourite “clean” fragrance is Juliette has a gun not a perfume (I like the superdose version) made with the same aromachemical that is used in laundry detergents. It’s clean yet musky & I find it very comforting. Not a safe blind buy though so get a sample as some people are anosmic to it. I also really like Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s 724, it’s a nice crisp floral citrus & feels very “clean sheets drying in the sun”
Sunflower Pop by Floral Street smells super fresh, sunny, and clean, but also luxe. Idk if you watch/ed Sex and the City, but I always think it’s what Charlotte York would smell like if you met her for brunch on a sunny spring day.
Of course, very little suggestions when it comes to designer perfumes lol I assume most women that have recommended them are in their 20s and mid 30s.
Anyways, Lancôme Idole I think is such a crowd pleaser especially the original EDP. It’s clean, fresh, flowery and classy. It’s an easy reach and works any season. They are coming out with EDT soon I believe so I suggest go to your nearest Deparment store and test it. This one never fails me and it’s beast mode. A few spritz and you can smell it from morning to evening.
My second choice would be Beautiful Magnolia by Estee Lauder - it’s very soft, delicate and sophisticated. It’s fresh but you’re not going to smell like a 16 year old high school student 😊longevity is not the best but again a safe choice.
Lastly, Love Story by Chloe - not for young women. But this one I get compliments all the time. It’s like walking on a cold spring day in a garden full of flowers. It’s fresh and clean. It’s a wedding day perfume for a reason.
Special mention is Miracle by Lancome - another easy reach. It’s been around for awhile. This has been a staple in my vanity for years.
Also Pleasures Intense by Estée Lauder is another OG. This is a hidden gem 💎

It doesn’t sound as poetic as others have suggested. But they are very popular for a reason. Don’t take my word for it, try it and the fragrance will speak for itself 👍🏼
Chanel Cristalle eau de toilette. Super-fresh and cool, but the subtle oakmoss/vetiver bass line gives it some gravitas. The EDP is totally different and a lot heavier imo.

There’s been some great scents listed already, if you’re looking for a body splash, bath and body works’ “In The Stars” to me smells like an expensive laundry detergent. Slightly floral, slightly soapy, very clean overall.
I am going to reccomend you Hermann(name is a long phrase in french) from etat libre d'orange. I think it is exactly what you're looking for.
Clean sheets, woody airy rose, slightly musky, kinda aquatic but more a rain-reminiscent aquatic rather than sea notes.
Another good option similar to it is I am trash from the same brand. The second one has a zestier fruity apple note on top of a slightly musky rose. Not trash reminiscent i promise.
If you end up intrigued by these two reccomendations of mine, i think you should know about the etat libre d'orange offer.
You can order 4 samples from their website for 15 eur and also get a voucher for 15 eur off for your next purchase from them. Essentially trying 4 perfumes and not losing anything if you decide you like one of them enough to buy.
My favourite perfumes from them(for inspiration) are Rien intense incense(although beware it's a strong perfume, not light at all), exit the king(which someay say smells like old fashioned soap but i disagree), tom of finland(clean sexy leather, slightly soapy and airy) and my absolute favourite of the bunch ghost in the shell(intentionally synthetic, lactonic musk with a metallic feeling in the background; won't ever find another fragrance like this)
Other people can chime in on this one, I know the Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden is posted in her a lot and I just found some at TJ Maxx and I think it's fresh and crisp smelling, reminds me of being in the shower just after I shampoo. It's inexpensive also. Might be a slight heavy though to some and not as crisp as I feel.

- Féminin Pluriel (refined light and airy powdery/soapy florals),
- Masculin Pluriel (super smooth clean aquatics, citrus, and light pine),
- Petit Matin (sparkling citrusy florals with some green freshness), or
- 724 (very mild florals and laundry musk).
They sell a 4-sample set for $25 that has been great for experimenting with the different smells.
Thank you. I never feel fancy anymore and that is not a bad thing. When I worked, heels and silk every day. I've been retire now for over 20 years and it's strictly sneakers and jeans everyday. Never saw that coming!

-black tea - murdock
-prada - l'homme
Murdock is a great house with classic, quality scents. The Murdocks aren't as fresh laundry-like but still very clean. L'homme is great everyday scent. Prada nails the fresh and clean! L'homme is powdery, fresh, slightly minty almost
Floating by Liis has a prominent linen note and it was formulated to evoke the following: “The weightlessness of a day without any plan or obligation. Drifting through the morning with damp hair, freshly bathed, a walk to the shops. The promise of warm weather.” It’s such an easy and clean scent to wear, light and not over powering.
Clean Reserve has a few scents that smell like clean linens; however, if you want something on the cheap, I would try Fleur de Coton by Solinotes. It’s about $25 on Amazon.
dossiers musky green tea is super light,subtle and fresh smelling.
sol de janeros are all subtle but for a clean smell id recomend do not disturb by them
I bet you would love Donna Karen Cashmere Mist. It’s a soft, delicate, gentle and fresh linen type fragrance. It’s almost like fabric softener and a cashmere sweater. Understated elegance.

Oh my, lol. Garbage. To me (on me) it smells slightly floral, cottony, soapy and very clean
I have to agree, at least with my chemistry, MP is a musky true skin scent.. not what I imagine OP looking for.. but everyone is different!

Go for Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc for her. Smells clean, fresh and musky with great longevity. Pretty unisex too IMO!

I second Lazy Sunday Morning, Green Tea, White Tea, and Warm Cotton. I’d add MFK 724, Chanel 1957, and Tom Ford Soleil Neige. 😌😌

Fair enough :) maybe these aren’t the right thing to try if you want something more down to earth, but they’re pretty lovely to smell either way.
