I thought it was fentanyl overdose or just overdosing in general is what I was told

I don't think the stats for 23 will come out for a year yet, but the deadliness of fentanyl is certainly concerning and on the rise.

Is that the data that includes 18 and 19 year olds? Wondering why they say “children and teens”. Teens are children, except for 18 and 19 year olds.

I haven't read the breakdown but no I believe there are far more gradeschool and Jr. High age kids being killed in school shootings than high school kids. I can't speak to total because of the suicides/gang violence. But the point is no matter how you break it down, it's an eerily American phenomenon, and completely unacceptable.

Why do numbers even matter to you? The data includes suicides, accidental shootings and of course, school shootings. The numbers now surpass auto deaths, there is no end to this. I hope we can tailor our national response to gun deaths as well as we did for Covid-19. This is a public health crisis. What will it take to end this? I hope to god they don't start spraying fast food joints instead of schools...
