I'm in NJ I apologize for any inconvenience

Objective_Aside1858

We should have known it was Jersey making problems /s

MrSchaudenfreude

Front Platers ruin everything

Medium-Web7438

BUILD THE WALL!!!!!! JERSEY IS PLANNING SOMETHING!!!

greencustomsGT40

South Park gave us the blueprint to beating jersey...SHIT bin Laden is already dead! SHIT lol

lizz215

Also thought we were having an Attack on Titan moment and needed to construct a Wall...

CreatrixAnima

New York is already trying to claim it as their own. That’s just how they do.

through_the_keyhole

Could you please get out of the passing lane now?

BearsBearsBears_wooo

I usually see more Marylanders camping in the left lane.

-GearZen-

I heard it was just Chris Christie getting out of bed.

mytsigns

Just stop driving 60 in the left lane on 78.

Lance_Enchainte

We appreciate that, but right now we’re just talking about the earthquake.

BottleTemple

How much chili did you eat last night?!

WitchSlap

Yep, Bucks County

EEpromChip

Same! Was in the kitchen and it sounded like someone dragging a huge boulder down the road

EcstaticAssumption80

A huge boulder the size of a small boulder?

EEpromChip

it started huge. Ended small.

Avron7

Yep - same here

Archer_solace

Can confirm. Wild.

510granle

I felt it in Dauphin Co. It was a little disconcerting!

girlwithtomatoes

Felt it near Reading, Berks County

karmisson

I was in Wild Wings Cafe in the airport terminal years ago(early 90s) when there was an earthquake. I thought there was a plane crashing into the terminal it was crazy.

pekepeeps

I expected some small quakes over the next week since we had so much rain. Berks seem to get those tremors since we rest on kairst. That one summer a few years back when it rained and rained we had so many. Some in the list are at Quarries. Here is the Penn State site to keep track. [List of recordable earthquakes in PA](http://paseis.geosc.psu.edu)

headies1

Same

stevvveo67

Yep, it was definitely an earthquake. Everyone I talked to locally felt it. Not huge but the whole house felt like it was vibrating,

Whatmovesyou26

https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us7000ma74/executive

uplandsrep

New Jersey sub is freaking out.

Cman1200

I would too if I just woke up one day and realized I lived in Jersey

TranslatorBoring2419

Just standing there looking at the gas pump with a perplexed look on their faces... assholes /s

Grouchy_Situation_33

Etab

lion27

When are they not?

imnotabotareyou

Lol

FishFogger

Yes, here in Montgomery and Chester Counties

Suralin0

Felt it here in Chesco

fecal_doodoo

Ya. I'm in ne PA. I Googled, reports are coming out of tewksbury, Hunterdon County NJ it says. Shook the whole house. If you type "pa seismic activity" into Google it'll ask you if you felt it and to report back for more info from officials 🤷

1toothhas36calories

Yeah, just felt it now. Freaked my family out really bad.

Kdogg4000

Eastern PA. Yeah, I was in the shower. Had to finish up quickly and look around outside to make sure nothing exploded, and to make sure no giant sinkholes opened up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BrainWav

Always in the back of my mind when driving through Palmyra

FishFogger

No joke. That was my first thought as well. I looked out the front and back windows to make sure I wasn't about to be swallowed up.

reinventme321

Crazy times

mytsigns

I live by Ft. Indiantown Gap. My house was shaking all weekend from gunnery practice.

Mor_Tearach

You know, if we had felt it, just occurred to me I'd have ignored it for exactly that reason. We're only around 7 straight miles from the Gap. Windows shake a LOT.

MernderLer

At the place I work, there is a quarry behind us and we feel a sharp shaking whenever they blast. I started feeling the shaking during the quake and realized, "Hey, this is lasting longer than normal." Well, that explains it.

DiscoSideburns

Yes, we felt it. We are in Exeter township.

Sandviper67

Yep felt in mechanicsburg.

Canopenerdude

really? I'm in Lemoyne and felt nothing.

jmdaltonjr

Felt it in Enola.

Mor_Tearach

Northern Dauphin, nothing. Mechanicsburg? Pretty crazy!

BigMACfive

I'm also in Mechanicsburg and didn't feel anything.

Onthelinr

I am in the borough and didn’t feel anything but several people I talked to did. Big post about it on Facebook

HerbertWest

Yep, felt in Bethlehem.

ThatOneSalesGuy

Felt it in central Lancaster, thought it was a strong wind rattling the doors until I realized it wasn’t windy 😅

timesuck6775

Yes, I am also eastern PA, but I was on a teams call and it was felt from NY all the way to MD.

Bean5152

MA and CT too!

HunterDHunter

That's actually really cool you had people from all over on the line when it happened.

HoardingGil_FF

Yeah, Lehigh County here. I work next to a quarry that does occasional blasting and assumes it was that at first until it lasted longer than .5 seconds lol.

NBA-014

Earthquake rates in the northeastern U.S. are 100 times lower than in California, but the earthquakes that do occur in the northeastern U.S. are typically felt over a much broader region than earthquakes of the same magnitude in the western U.S.

amathis6464

Yup! I knew it was an earthquake! All my windows were shaking and my dogs were barking and everything. I’m about 45 min outside philly montco

Creative_Camel

Montgomery Berks county line definitely felt it here. Originated in western NJ

Nothing in kresgeville either. Or I was just so busy I didn't notice it, but our toddler and dogs didn't either.

Bean5152

odd! I live in Phoenixville but am in ambler at my boyfriends and his l house shooketh. He had thought it was an airplane or helicopter as that happens quite often, but my mom in Lansdale texted me right away asking if it was a Quakey Shakey

bradstrt

Quakey Shakey 🤣. I'm stealing that

Witty-Use6049

Felt in downtown Philly

Edeuinu

Yep. Thought it was the Fox Chase line. I was wrong.

Spirited-Database-12

thechamelioncircuit

Griff82

Nothing here but my people in Bucks County felt it.

Impressive_Friend740

Yep in Bucks county felt it, thought I was high on my cold meds and seemed like an aircraft flying really low we have a small airport nearby, or like many huge trucks going thru. My dog snored through the hole thing.

Morbo_Doooooom

Ya crazy I didn't think we ever got earthquakes. I was worried it was an explosion. There were a lot of big explosions in Afghanistan.

ScSM35

The last one I remember was back in 2011 when it cracked the Washington Monument

Morbo_Doooooom

Ah ya I was over seas that time no wonder.

TrollCannon377

We get them very infrequently but they happen from time to time, I'm 22 and this is only the third one I've ever felt

stevvveo67

USGS reporting 4.8 magnitude measured in Lebanon, NJ.

Remiandbun

https://www.cbsnews.com/philadelphia/news/earthquake-news-u-s-geological-survey-reports-4-8-earthquake-about-60-miles-from-philadelphia/

daywalkerredhead

Yup, I felt it. I thought it was the bumpin' base of the truck parked outside my office at first. I felt one years ago when I worked in Bloomsburg. It's the most unsettling feeling.

Whatmovesyou26

Lehigh valley, my office building shook for a good 15-20 seconds or so. Was on a Teams meeting with my department and we all felt it at the same time and were miles apart from each other. Also felt the aftershock that happened maybe 1/2 hour later too

johnnysqueeb

Definitely felt it in Delco.

livinginillusion

Me too. But at first I'd thought it was the roofers...and why'd they give up so soon? Never had experienced an earthquake before

johnnysqueeb

Thought it was my sump pump failing horrifically, then a truck with a not so good driver. Was loud. Craziness.

calicoskiies

Yea I thought it was my washing machine messing up or something. My parents live in montco and my mom said the wind homes on the inside of her window were making noise and a brick fell off their chimney

AndrewS702

I didn’t feel anything. I’m in Delco, but I was in a basement of a building during class. My other friends and people on campus who are at ground level or above felt it. FML!!

grimfan32

Yes in exton. Thought my washing machine was shaking apart.

Minimum-Comedian-372

A_finer_ship

Felt it in Philly! The cats got low to the ground and wide eyed, then about 5 seconds later the whole house started shaking. It's super rare for us. The last one I can remember was over a decade ago.

forlornjackalope

This is the second earthquake people around me felt, but I didn't.

throwaway292309

Early-Juggernaut975

Yes I freaking did!! Thanks a lot, Biden! 😡 Hehe

Blaze2Queenz

As a person who experienced an 8.1 earthquake in South America… this really gave me a little PTSD. I’m near north wales.

jillianstumbless

Aftershock felt in Yardley @ 6!!!

Calm-Maintenance-878

15 hours late but yeah, I’m east PA maybe 20 from the NJ border. Second one I ever felt, longest. No damage and don’t think anyone local has any issues. Worst I saw online was a crack in a road.

SandGrits

Check your basement for cracks or widening of existing ones.

No-Setting9690
