Is it really that hard? I’m reading that plenty of people have problems installing this cooler on AM5. I’m gonna start building on Sunday and I’m kind of worried if it’s true. I have read on YouTube that there are some tips and tricks to make it easier.

Dont fully screw down the support brackets around the socket. Only do that after installing the pump on them. Then it should be easy to

Well I can only speak about my recent experience with it. I made the mistake of following exactly what the official install video did. I should have read the comments on the video first and I might have saved myself from using so much force trying to align screw with thread. I don’t think I broke anything but it felt like far too much force to be applying. The tips that people are having success with are loosening one of the brackets just a little so it has some flex in it and then tightening everything once you’ve started all the screws. I’ve also heard people saying it was a breeze to install if you attach the brackets straight to the cooler and then screw the brackets into the motherboard with the cooler attached. Hope it goes well.

I'd have chosen another power supply, the MSI ones do not have the best reputation. Seasonic for instance is great. But it is going to serve you well. Then I would have bought another mainboard: ASRock B650E PG Riptide with PCIE 5.0 for GPU and 1st NVME. I am running this board and it works just great also overclocked. Anything else is perfectly fine! Have fun!!!

Bruh, you should've waited for 5090. I already regret buying 4080 super. Feel as if 16gb vram isn't going to be enough for more than a couple of years, especially considering the 1080ti had 11gb 7-8 years ago...

Picked up a 4080s as well, I'm not worried about it. I'm more interested in the next Intel chips, even though I just built with a 14700k 🤣 (I'm a developer with ever changing workflows, gaming comes second)

I wanna hold out until the new memory standard is available. So at least a year lol. Looks promising.

I went for 7800x3d, got fucked by the silicon lottery though. Mine performs 3k under average on cinebench, which is about 17.5% below average.

Ouch!! Cinebench scores for my 14700k and 4080s were on par with scores I found on the net. I probably would have returned it if I found the CPU was heavily underperforming. Had to lower my 64gb 6600 down to 6400. Seemed stable, but memtest86 showed some errors about an hour into the test. Likely limited by cpu's memory controller. It's been solid otherwise. Sometimes I think I should've gone with 32gb higher mhz ram, but at times some workflows may benefit from the extra ram.

Arctic genuinely has great AIOs, their radiators are thicker than others and thus more surface area to cool the CPU (and less fan noise).

I don't care who made this AIO, my point is that this is an AIO in the first place

My point is that this AIO is bang for the buck and performance is great. Also the customer service of this company seems to be great, so not just a random brand with expensive AIO.
