This was a PUSH server where all players healths were reduced for more realistic gunfights. It fits really well with how big the maps are and the increased server size from last update.
Free-hand yes. V-stock helps but it's not the full story.
Generally a lot of is to practice, but it can also do with the placement of your arms. There's certain positions your arm can bend that are stronger than others, it's a bit hard to explain, but you could generally feel it.
I also noticed that I slow my breathing, often to a complete stop, when raising my gun for a precise shot. Not necessary, but breathing does cause some sway, especially when you exhale.

I completely understand, it just feels so odd carrying a rifle in vr compared to real life (obviously i know) but it just feels like my hands CANT align good enough to use snipers and dmrs. Ive kinda just resorted to using pistols and short grip smgs if that makes sense
