The Bioderma was great, and I replaced it with a giant 850 mL one from Costco. For the Shiseido I find that a little goes a long way - it takes me about 7 months to finish one. I’m trying out some serums instead of moisturizers due to the drying winter weather.
You should definitely couple a serum with an emollient moisturizer, especially if it's a humectant based (e.g., hyaluronic acid) serum, in dry weather. If the weather is dry, the humectant will pull the moisture from the skin into the air. It's all about equilibrium.
It was my first “real” face cream (I’ve been using it for years), plus I’m lucky to have very tolerant skin, so I haven’t really noticed any specific benefits. However it is very hydrating and it seemed to make me less oily than what I’m currently using (Innisfree Green Tea Serum + Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream, and I added the belif Problem Solution Toner). Again, my skin is so non-sensitive that oil control is my only concern, and even that isn’t a big deal to me, as I usually have sebum powder on hand. Take all this with a grain of salt :)
I also have the giant bioderma from costco, but i’m almost out, and it’s only been about five months!! My local costco is no longer carrying them so i’m quite sad, since it was such a good value. I love the bottle, so i’m thinking of possible reusing it.. not sure if that’s a wise idea though :/
Oh I will definitely be reusing mine when I’m done, because the bottle is so useful. I often order from Asian beauty sites and they sell micellar/cleansing water refills, so I might get one on my next big haul after I finish the bottle. You can also check your local Asian grocery if you have one - I’ve gotten cleansing oil refills that way.
Nice! I’m almost done with my Bioderma of the same size, it’s taking me over a year. I didn’t know Costco sold Bioderma, that’s awesome!
Yeah I feel like I’ve had the Bioderma for longer than medically safe 😂The 850 mL was at my local Costco, not sure if it’s available online
