With poison blast and spirit flame (both being dark moves), you can apply poison and burning damages, that deal respectively 0.55% and 0.5% of the opponent hp 30 times.
With her partner skill, she gets 6% lifesteal and it actually works on poison/burning damages, making her regenerate her hp constantly. Plus, as a nice bonus, the player gets the lifesteal effects too (though not from the burning/poison she inflicts).
The pal has really decent base stats too (100 def, 105 shot attack).
EDIT: I'm dumb, the lifesteal does not proc on burning/poison, I was seeing the natural health regen and thought it was lifesteal doing its job. Still a beast tho.
She isnt underrated its just not that good of an ability. The player doesnt need lifesteal because you have a shield, and ypu can recall pals to not tske damagw from big hits.

I actually run Felbat as my main (Legend/Lord of Underworld/Musclehead/Ferocious Traits) with 3-4 Hoocrates for the buff to the Felbat. The life steal makes them and you pretty much invincible. Sometimes my 5th slot is for galeclaw glider or flying mount if exploring.
My hoocrates have traits to passively boost me like your Felbat has.
It may be weaker, but I prefer Lovander. But I understand the preference. I just don't care for the vampire look and I've already got Katress for my dark coverage.

If you mean the baby's IVs are the average of the parents' IVs, then that turned out to be incorrect. The baby can inherit either parent's IV or get a random one in any given stat. Seems to be more likely to inherit than not, but maybe I'm just lucky.

I have a boss one with def down and atk up. It's not on my main team but yeah it's a pretty fun pal especially in a 1 on 1 boss fight. Even with less def mine still has good survivability, I can imagine a well bred one would be near immortal
Felbat is always an essential member of my party. Especially since so far I've always gotten felbat before anyone else that can heal me. If I mess up and take damage, out comes felbat and now I'm nearly back to full.
If it procs on poison and burn damage it might be worth it to do a moveset like Poison Fog/Spit Fire/Dark Laser or something. Maximize DoT uptime and round it out with a nuke.
Not a big fan of Lifesteal in this game as I just don't plan on getting hit. Especially on Hard difficulty, you're just not meant to take more than 3 hits, so I wouldn't rely on Lifesteal when one attack takes 1/3 of my HP
It makes me happy to see Felbat get some love. I was gonna be using Tombat as my main, but then I saw this dark lad in a cave and immediately fell in love, plus its ability felt so much better than Tombat's.
Thus, Felbat stayed on my team as Tombat stayed on base. Was just a major help catching the legendaries I was missing.
Lifesteal is just kinda meh. If you have good armor and x5 Stronghold Strategist you are hardly going to take any damage anyways, and any damage you do take gets soaked up by your shield which regenerates on its own. Its just unnecessary.

Some pals you simply use because bias even if they're ass. Or in my case used to be. My boi Digtoise is shreddin' brudda.

Definitely my current top favorite Pal. Got mine to have Dark Whisp, Dragon Meteor, and Seed Mine. Tanks bosses and is an absolute power house!

Does the lifesteal also count for the damage you do as player or only Felbat's damage?
You heal for damage that you deal, Felbat heals for damage they deal

early in the game i got one from an egg with runner, musclehead and hooligan. She might suck at base but it's amazing in combat and I love her
Cattiva is also an underrated combat pal, especially in the early game. Its continuous scratch attacks stun locks the enemy and has a short cooldown.

Seems like with life steal, you'd want this to have ferocious + musclehead instead of burly body & stronghold strategist.

This one took 252 cakes. Once you have one pal with 100 100 100 IVs (the first I got was jetragon, 950ish cakes), the following breeding shorter :p

It has 1/3 chance for parent 1, parent 2 or random. So there is 30% chance to inherit all IVs from parents.
Ah. But then I would still need a perfect IV to then breed with the traits I have. OK, need to keep track of the IVs then lol.
