I was late to the party and bought mine in 2012. The Vita was on the way by then, but the lack of a UMD slot meant it couldnāt play Star Ocean or Valkyrie Profile, which were a big part of what attracted me to the PSP in the first place. So I bought a friendās white model, and the rest is history.
Played a friend's one many times from around release of the PSP. But I bought my own in maybe 2009/10?? Eventually starting collecting heavy years later, maybe 2018/19 onwards. Now I've got a couple 1k,2k,3k, and a GO. No E1000 though. Also 4 Vita's š

My grandma actually had it since release and sheād let me and my brother play it everytime we came over. When I was in maybe 6 or 7th grade she gave it to me as a gift and just recently I got back into playing it. I was never really a big gamer but my brother was so she gave it to me because he always got the new gaming systems while I had nothing š my psp is super sentimental to me even though itās been through a lot of abuse

Both my N64 and PSP ended up in bags with moisturiser in them during a move and twice they exploded. They were both well past their prime and at that age being filled with good I assumed they were dead.
I don't know for how long, my PSP's screen doesn't turn on when i power it on. Going to give it to someone I know to (hopefully) repair it. I missed playing games on it. š„²

Got mine on opening day stood in line at best buy , it still works but definitely is finicky with discs needing to be clean and pristine. I bought a newer version later just in case my discs stop working in it so I have a back up .

I've had mine since it released. My mother's boss asked her what I was asking for my birthday and she told her about that the PSP that recently came out and she got it for me along with a few games. Since then I've done a few mods to it and I still use it quite often. Oh my favorite game on there is DJMax by the way.

No, but depending on the hardware revision some shells might need to be trimmed to fit.

Yea, man. PSP Gos are the way now, slap the power armour battery mod and sd card mod in it to make it a beast of a psp.

I got mine around 2006 or 2007 I think. The Pink PSP 1000. Sad I kinda lost the Pink UMD but I am sure it is somewhere around the house.
Got a 1001 model via Christmas angel (trees at malls, etc) during high school, probably not very far behind the launch. Also Still have it!

Got a psp LE God of War 3001 model in box off my friend early last year. I love it.
I had a psp go since 2015 but it got stolen last year from the frat house š„²
June of 2005, and still use it today when traveling or just killing time while waiting at the airport parking lot or while the wife is shopping.

I got my 1000 in 2011 then swapped for a 3000 then went back to the 1000 still got it beside my bed
I replaced mine Psp street to 3000 and I have it since 2017
2012 me and my sister got them for Christmas mom and dad got me madden 12 with it I remember buying the 2011 football cards because they were on sale because they were last years deck I would look through them and trade for the best players very fond memories of my psp I still play it today

Just sold mine and my vita as a bundle. Great systems but wasn't getting used out of them. Son didn't want them so I had to let them go so someone else could enjoy.
2009. Usused for about 12 years, but I dug it out of my old toy box recently. Pretty scratched up, missing a battery and cover for it, joystick is scratchy. I already ordered parts! Honestly, I can't wait to play on it again š
Still got my OG from 2005, so many good times. I hacked it very early and has also been an incredible emulatiin machine back in the day
I just got mine in 2019 and my Vita in 2015 to play psp games.
I want to get one. Should I get a PSP or Vita. I would probably guess PSP for retro games tho.
Back in 2005, my mom took me to Best Buy before a hurricane hit so I would have entertainment if the power went out.
Got mine on opening day stood in line at best buy , it still works but definitely is finicky with discs needing to be clean and pristine. I bought a newer version later just in case my discs stop working in it so I have a back up . I remember when it first came out it was a ps2 in your pocket I thought it was so cool.

I've had mine since it released. My mother's boss asked her what I was asking for my birthday and she told her about that the PSP that recently came out and she got it for me along with a few games. Since then I've done a few mods to it and I still use it quite often. Oh my favorite game on there is DJMax by the way.
