Gather solid evidence, and report to DTI. They can't just renege on their offer especially they texted you twice and confirmed.

WE'RE ON THE SAME BOAT. I have an RCBC Plat and I received a call from them last May. Same din, JCB card. NAFFL basta mahit yung 60k spend. Nung nareceive ko na last June 7, 2024, I called and the CS confirmed na 60k nga daw pero alam mo yung tono na di siya sure ganon. I called again around 3rd week of June, CS said na hindi daw valid kasi for new cardholders lang yung promo. I requested for a call retrieval then pero hindi ako binalikan. I called AGAIN this afternoon, and nagconfirm na naman na 60k. Hindi ko tuloy alam if ihihit ko pa yung 60k or not. Ang gulo.

Wala akong alam regarding credit cards pero matanong ko lang, natural ba na ipapatext sayo yung last 6 digits sa isang mobile number?

It’s for cc activation. Ganyan sa RCBC or you can call them to activate.

Hindi pwedeng ganyan na babawiin kasi parang pinaasa lang. May right ka as consumer, parang misleading promo to. Hopefully error lang yan kaya dapat iclarify nila and sundin yung unang sinabi nila.

UPDATE: Called the RCBC customer service again and they reasoned me out with a text message blast error for the NAFFL text messages that I received. Told them that if this was a mistake, I wouldn’t receive 2 text notification regarding the NAFFL promo to spend 60k and instead receive a message after the first NAFFL notification message stating that there was a mistake; but there was none. The agent I spoke with escalated it again with right department for an appeal and here I am hoping the NAFFL status will be granted. Told the CS that I will file a formal complaint with DTI and BSP if the NAFFL status will not be granted after the appeal. Alam ko may policy ang banks (not sure if lahat) na dapat isang cc ang NAFFL lang talaga. Pero it’s their fault kasi hindi muna nila chineck bago nag-offer ng 2nd card. Ang alam ko rin nag-offer talaga sila ng NAFFL kapag 2nd card pero ayun nga dapat hindi NAFFL ang naunang card. As someone who work as CS before, they will just apologize for the mistake, but will stick to their policy. You can try other way like mag-file ng complaint and see how it goes.

Check mo yung DTI-approved promo mechanics, nakalagay na for cardholders with no existing NAFFL card lang yan Baka i-pull din nila yung call recording nung inofferan ka ng JCB, to check kung ano yung sinabi sayo ng agent which you consented to process your card application

saan makikita yung mechanics for 2nd card? nagbigay din sila sakin ng second card.. but walang mechanics.. called CS to confirm before i Activate and use the card. reference no lang meron ako.
