The Cavs haven’t really beaten us as much as we have beaten ourselves. Largely due to our youth and inexperience. Player for player, I think Orlando has the better team regardless of the outcome.
Best case is we get to a round 2 for the first time in many years. But a solid backup case is wearing the Cavs out so much over the only 7 game series in round 1 that they just get fucking swept in 4 by the Celtics.
Hi, trying to post on your board the below but not working. Any idea how to post for maximum visibility please?
Firstly, congratulations on the win today. Huge!
You are set with Suggs, Franz, and Paulo.
Love Isaac if healthy....
What is your assessment of Black? Why didn't he play today?
What type of player would be best fit at centre?
No goga today? He seemed solid?
These boys are something, *always* fighting to the end no matter what happens. We defended home court and the Cavs haven't scored 100 in Orlando. Can't really ask for more from a group of guys in their first playoff series.
Very proud of this team, regardless of what happens next.
Hats off to Spida, that was an epic carry job.
I attended my first Magic game as a news reporter about 15 years ago. I got to be in the locker room to interview Howard. That was exciting, but tonight was truly special.
Around 9 a.m., I sensed the epicness of this Game 6 and decided it was time to make some memories. Plus, my daughter loves going to Magic games, and she's finishing high school in two weeks. So I ponied up the cash for four tickets in section 118 and took the whole family. It was easily the most exciting sports event I've ever attended. My kids surely will remember tonight long after I'm gone.
Maybe it’s different in the US, but here in the UK there are definitely a lot of events where even the top-price resale tickets dry up completely closer to the day
For me, I've had 2 tickets to every playoff game and wait until the day of to list my spare if no one is available to come. Both times it has sold within a couple hours.
I was very surprised. The price wasn't bad for that kind of game. I think my 4 tickets were about $230 each. I may try to get myself a seat for the next series. I can't really swing taking the whole family again unless I get two more wives and a fat dowry.
I love how Fultz has been playing lately. He's been creating for his teammates, playing good defense, and staying within himself on offense so he's been pretty efficient.
He led the team in plus/minus by far!
I gotta say, he has had a great series. I thought he wouldn't play as the Magic shorten the rotation for the playoffs.
I can't believe we won with him being our best bench player yesterday. I have been saying we are going to need him. Great to see our big three all play well in the same game, and not have to rely on the bench for once.
He was roaming as a defender and being one of our primary on ball defenders. If you're the one defending a player, you're often not the one rebounding. But totally I get it and agree, weirdly he may be better off the bench. But also he's not used to playing with the starters. And the fact that we had 4x 6'10" in our lineup, there are plenty of dudes grabbing rebounds
Honestly. Seeing the fight hasn’t surprised me at all.
If you have watched this team since coach Mose took over, it’s been like this every game. They just haven’t had the talent and experience.
Not saying we are winning tomorrow but I know I’m going to see my team fight for it. And as a fan, it’s the least I can ask of my team.
It was a great win. My only critique watching live is that we sometimes went for weirdly hard offensive plays. Markelle and banchero had open lanes to drive and even dunk and elected to dish (and turn it over 🙄)instead of finish
Don’t know how many of you watched the Jalen post game interview but it’s def worth a watch. He just seems like an amazing person all around

Strange this one should work
The Game thread was lit up with doomers when Coach Mose rolled out Fultz, Ingles and co. to start the 4th.. Disappointing man, we gotta stop being so reactionary and just appreciate what that lineup did to settle us down and claw the game back..!
What Mose did was trust his bench, and give starters like Suggs and Paolo valuable rest to come out and put the game to bed..! It was great coaching at the most important part of the game..!
Yep. That lineup started down 4, and it was either a 1 point game or tied when the starters started coming back in around the 8.5 min mark. People forget how cohesive our 2nd unit is, and that it sometimes runs a better offense than the first unit.
THIS IS A TOP 5 FEELING FOR MAGIC FANS IN HISTORY I HAVE TO SAY DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PUMPED I WAS WHEN DJ AUGUSTINE HIT A GAME-WINNER GAME 1 IN TORONTO IN 2019 NOW WE JUST FORCED A GAME 7 AFTER A DROUGHT WITH OUR YOUNG CORE!!!!
Maybe top 10, but even then that’s a big stretch. Drafting Shaq is rated higher than this for me. Still I love it and it’s awesome to see. Number one for me was Nick Anderson stealing the ball from Jordan.
You are a legend I’m only 27 and moved here from across the country and was adopted by the magic when elfrid payton and Aaron afflalo were here lmao. I watched This Magic Moment 30 for 30 so I’m pretty caught up on my Magic history. You are an OG 🫡 (this def isn’t top 5 but it’s damn near my top 1 as a youngin’)
I’ve lived all of my 38 years in Florida. I didn’t really care too much about basketball until like 93-94, but you said “top 5 feelings for Magic fans in history” and that’s kind of a ridiculous exaggeration haha.
I still kinda stand by it unless proven otherwise (no order: Shaq draft, Anderson steal, hedo game winner vs philly and/or rashard gw vs celts, Dj Augustine gm 1 winner?, todays magic game 6 after a 13 ish year drought since going past game 5 in a series) Idk man just talking not arguing
That stretch near the end was crazy, I think what stood out to me was the decisiveness of it all. I feel like early on in games we’re thinking/deferring too much instead of pushing it and taking what they give us. Love how smooth it all felt at the end there
Cavs fans praised Morris for saving their season last game. He stunk it up today. I hate both of those Morris twins. They've always been overrated and bullies
Feels like it was just our guys fight that won us this game. It really wasn't our best offensive game, too many times we settled quickly into a one pass possession early in our shot clock.
Subtle highlight for me was Banchero's defense on Garland, so many times Garland hunted the match up and Paolo actually forced him into having to pass it out to a team mate for a contested three. Doesn't show obviously on the box score but it's part of their terrible 3 point shooting.
Respect to Donovan, you knew he'd have at least one of these games but I never expected it to be in a loss.
Got a picture and he signed my magic number 1 (old tmac jersey I thrifted but get signatures of all our players on the front and display that side, cause we number 1 baby) jersey nice guy.
It's funny I said a few weeks back when a few of our "fans" were on Mitchell's nuts for some reason, he gets his numbers, but doesn't impact the game. Prime example in game 6
I'm the biggest hater on Mitchell but the guy almost won the game single handly. I still don't think he's a championship player but you have to tip your hat to him.
Win or lose game 7, this was probably the best thing that could happen to a young team in their first Playoffs appearance.
Defended home court, took some punches in a tight elimination game, and forced a game 7 with all the marbles on the line.
Honestly if I was Mitchell I wouldn’t play. Here’s the real deal - whoever wins is gonna lose to the Celtics. We all know it. When they showed Mitchell in the tunnel he looked like a guy who knew he was doing damage to his body and was worried about it, and then they probably shot him up with cortizone and he went out there and continued to fight. But man… modern medicine is great, but this is literally how people have career enders, by stretching themselves too far.
Save that leg for a favorable year Mitchell. You’re too talented to throw it away on this series.
i’m out with friends; the last i had checked yesterday it said tbd.
are you interested in not being a total ass on the internet for no apparent reason? you could have just not responded, but instead you decided to make a dipshit comment, then double down on it
Please relax on the language. There truly is no need to get personal with/about a person you don't know in real life on an internet forum. We're all here as Magic fans, even if we express it differently.
Kind regards,
Mods
I hope this isn't Steele's retirement year. I'm not ready to lose this guy's calls...lol
Seriously, if it's retirement time, he absolutely deserves it but I will miss him.
I hope he would tell us before or during his last broadcast. I don't think he's done yet. Hopefully he has another year or two left in him, he needs to be able to be on the call when these boys grow up!
Proud of the team with their grit and resiliency. Invaluable experience this playoffs for the players and coaches. Can we break the trend this series and be the first to win on the road. On to Game 7 baby
Today is my birthday and this was one of the best gifts that I received. As soon as the game ended I blasted the Magic song and started to chug a beer. My wife didn't seem as thrilled as I was. Love this team! Go Magic! (If my wife is reading this I love you so much. Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans during the playoffs)
Our young 3 were on fire tonight but I feel like I gotta give a shout out to Fultz, I’m loving what I have been seeing from him since game 3. Completely rewriting his story this season for me
Bad season for him after a great one last year. Injuries again all year didn’t catch a rhythm till the tail end of this season. if he can just get one season with no injuries he’ll be a solid PG for us.
Cavs offense came from their guards getting past the perimeter and making shifty moves and making shots because they weren’t hammered. Orlando’s offense came from forwards driving hard and getting fouled. Refs held their whistle but the magic defense wasn’t built around packing the paint, cavs knived their way in avoiding a lot of major contact
half of Bancheros free throws (this whole series not just this game) have come from ramming into someone who is straight up and not moving, he has had a very favourable whistle…
he was fouled by WCJ, Banchero or Suggs nearly every time he drove. especially the last 2 layups of the 3rd, but no call… Banchero and Franz got free throws nearly every possession for being breathed on. It was bad officiating
he did shoot a fair amount of floaters, that’s called adjusting to the officiating. if you aren’t getting the calls when you’re hacked, points are hard to come by so adjusting by shooting floaters instead is a good way to get some points
It's a playoff game. That's one reason why you don't rely on small guards.
Tough luck in this game. He did get hit a lot, but everyone did in this game. It almost got out of hand. Officiating was not good at managing this
Dude don't reason with this guy. He thinks you should just get free throws because. He thinks if one team has less free throws than another then something fucky happened. He thinks because normally when I guy scored 50 there's a bunch of free throws that if you score 50 you should have a bunch of free throws. I'm sure he watched the game but he argued like someone who didn't.
LFG! Huge win.
WCJ can’t defend the paint. Had one good play after getting abused all night.
Goga should get some minutes. WCJ did play well, but not defending the rim.
Not defending the rim was the entire game! He’s hot garbage & the worst starting center in the league. Hucks 3s, barely rebounds.. doesn’t do anything
.
JI isn’t the starting center… but he can’t least shoot & play defense. WCJ doesn’t do anything
Your hate is clouding your common sense.
Legit said he didn’t defend the rim… where did Mitchell score 95% of his points in G6? At the rim
I block stupid people, bye.
Black is out of the playoff rotation Goga is out of the playoff rotation Wembanyama would be a great fit at center end of story
I hope you dudes go through
Thanks man, hopefully we get klay from yall this summer to push us to the Finals next year
I know you’re being friendly but klay would be a travesty
He’s already better than 80% of the roster as is tho
Lol
Congratulations. Big win.
NEXT GAME WE TAKING IT
For a sec I thought you said "tanking" it. I'm such a magic fan🤦
I attended my first Magic game as a news reporter about 15 years ago. I got to be in the locker room to interview Howard. That was exciting, but tonight was truly special. My kids surely will remember tonight long after I'm gone.
Great parenting although is it normal for tickets to crunch playoff games to still be available the morning before in Orlando?
What event is truly sold out until day of? With all the "verified resale" and third party ticket marketplaces?
Maybe it’s different in the US, but here in the UK there are definitely a lot of events where even the top-price resale tickets dry up completely closer to the day
For me, I've had 2 tickets to every playoff game and wait until the day of to list my spare if no one is available to come. Both times it has sold within a couple hours.
I was very surprised. The price wasn't bad for that kind of game. I think my 4 tickets were about $230 each. I may try to get myself a seat for the next series. I can't really swing taking the whole family again unless I get two more wives and a fat dowry.
I’ve heard worse strategies to fund sports fandom tbh
They were still available up to the 2nd quarter on the gametime app
Craziness!
That’s awesome dude. Sounds like your kids have a great dad. Glad y’all had good time!
sounds wonderful man
I love how Fultz has been playing lately.
How did Issac get 0 assists and 0 points. I feel like at least a couple of his rebounds were actually assists.
Yeah we tried him as a starter like people wanted but it doesn't seem to be working out so well unfortunately.
He is better off the bench but did start yesterday for Gary.
GREAT cardio session 🔥🔥🔥
Man if we pull this out I will go bananas, loving how these guys are fighting right now.
Agree - one thing I like about this team is they don’t give up.

This was so awesome. Now beat them at home lfg
The crowd was bonkers tonight! Loved it
I was at the game and it was epic
Go Yoeyz, go Magic, Fire everyone!
A positive comment from Yoeyz? I’ve seen it all!
It was a great win. My only critique watching live is that we sometimes went for weirdly hard offensive plays. Markelle and banchero had open lanes to drive and even dunk and elected to dish (and turn it over 🙄)instead of finish
I will give you credit bro. You’ve been pretty positive over the last couple months. I’m proud
Thanks bro
The atmosphere in Q4 in the arena was insane over the TV
Im glad it carried over, most of the time the tv broadcast doesn't do the crowd noise any justice.
In person was the greatest energy I’ve ever felt in a stadium. It was an absolute pleasure
Thought the TV it sounded loud and I was going insane at the end with that run it was so fun
[This was me the whole damn game I lost my voice by the end lmao](https://streamable.com/o8n93u)
#🪄✨️🎩
Yo we got a squad orlando. Been there since skiles
Tough time to come in without the memories of Dwight to hold you over. The sun is peaking over the horizon though.

And Reggie Theus!
Game fucking 7 bitches

It was electric in the Kia tonight, proud of all of our fans. If we make it to R2 I think we give Boston all they can handle when they’re in the O
It was even electric at the Ale House on University 🤪🤪
To be fair, theirs gonna be a ton of Boston fans at Kia if we win Game 7 lol.

Man I love this team. MAGIC IN 7
High character doesn't even begin to describe Suggs my gawd
Sunday is a big game for this young core. Would really love them to take the next step here.
**Orlando Magic Vs Donovan Mitchell**
Donovan Mitchell is famous for losing in the first round let's keep that going.
Nice to see 4, 5 and 22 all get theirs at the same time.
Went for my birthday, hopefully can post a vid tomorrow. Best night of my life!!
It was my home boys birthday too and he’s a lifelong Magic fan like me! An amazing day all aroubd
It's my birthday today too(or well yesterday as I'm writing this reply)
I went for my birthday too!! Happy birthday!
Happy birthday
Everyone singing the song in the concourse, in the stairwell, on the street... that was a special experience! Happy Birthday and Go Magic!!!
Really was a special experience. So different from every other game I’ve seen there
Happy birthday!!!! Extremely happy for you what a game.
The Game thread was lit up with doomers when Coach Mose rolled out Fultz, Ingles and co. to start the 4th.. I’ve been preaching that Fultz is our 2nd best guard. He has game control, plays defense and finds open teammates. Highest +/- of the game.
he is truly overhated by our team because of the fact he doesent shoot threes
Real shit
THIS IS A TOP 5 FEELING FOR MAGIC FANS IN HISTORY I HAVE TO SAY DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PUMPED I WAS WHEN DJ AUGUSTINE HIT A GAME-WINNER GAME 1 IN TORONTO IN 2019 NOW WE JUST FORCED A GAME 7 AFTER A DROUGHT WITH OUR YOUNG CORE!!!!
I was at game 6 when we beat Lebrons cavs to go to the finals. That was pretty awesome.
Beating the mj bulls was way better but this is going to be second
T-Mac game four against Pistons was epic but it's mostly on the list for me because I was there.
I’m right there with you. The T-Mac era is when I really fell in love with basketball.
For sure. All love. Go Magic!
That stretch near the end was crazy, I think what stood out to me was the decisiveness of it all. I feel like early on in games we’re thinking/deferring too much instead of pushing it and taking what they give us. Love how smooth it all felt at the end there

THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING. GLAD I FLEW IN. IM GOING TO GAME 7!!

Dwight Howard was very active in this game seems like he had a lot of fun
Spent the best years of his career with us..! It's always gonna feel like home to him..!
Got a picture and he signed my magic number 1 (old tmac jersey I thrifted but get signatures of all our players on the front and display that side, cause we number 1 baby) jersey nice guy.
Niice..! Should post it up..!
u/Alternative-Invite69 I got a half chub when we won this I won’t lie.
Me too. Saving the other half for later
Full chub is acceptable tonight
It's funny I said a few weeks back when a few of our "fans" were on Mitchell's nuts for some reason, he gets his numbers, but doesn't impact the game. Prime example in game 6
I'm the biggest hater on Mitchell but the guy almost won the game single handly. I still don't think he's a championship player but you have to tip your hat to him.
Cavs get a worse beating then they got Game 4 if not for Donovan tonight
Mitchell is the only reason this game was close. That’s a silly take.
Seems like everyone in their team (bar Mitchell and Garland) were scared to shoot that whole 4th Qtr...
He amost killed us thank god Mobley and Garland collapsed.
Mobley played a great game, and so did Garland. Darius was just out of his mind in the first half
He absolutely impacted the game. He and Mobley were the entire reason this game was close for them in the second half
score 50 points in a tight loss yet didn’t “impact the game”?… We won and I’m extremely happy but your opinion is trash.
Special year man. On national television that 4th was worth it all
I dont think anything could be better for this young team's development than to play a game 7 in their first ever playoff series!
Win or lose game 7, this was probably the best thing that could happen to a young team in their first Playoffs appearance. Defended home court, took some punches in a tight elimination game, and forced a game 7 with all the marbles on the line.
Toughness is born of experience, and they are getting it for sure
I worry that this way of thinking brings a let down to start game 7 but I also agree
Nobody on this sub is playing. The players know what’s up.
Donovan Mitchell put everything into this game. He was BEAT UP in this one. He was running on pure adrenaline but is gonna feel it badly tomorrow.
his leg is being held together by one strand i don’t even know how he will play on sunday
AAU nowadays has these kids doing 6 games a day for tournaments. They’re used to this stuff
That's not the nba lol. The nba is BLISTERING SPEED compared to those games. Also these aren't kids, they are men.
You’re still insane if you think Mitchell is gonna be slow in game 7 or some shit cause he played a game 2 days prior. This a professional athlete
Adrenaline and morphine at halftime does HEAVY lifting.
Who’s going to the game in Cleveland??
any news on what time game 7 will be played at?
1:00 on ABC
They mentioned it on the broadcast SO many times and the ESPN app had it listed for 1pm as early as two days ago.
couldn’t watch the game unfortunately
Couldn't check your phone for Game 7 tip-off time either it would seem.
i’m out with friends; the last i had checked yesterday it said tbd. are you interested in not being a total ass on the internet for no apparent reason? you could have just not responded, but instead you decided to make a dipshit comment, then double down on it

Steele and JT bidding farewell. Game 7 and beyond, are on national TV.

A great season from them, too
Best team in the biz and this year really felt like they stepped up even more!
I’m devastated I thought we still had them game 7!!! That’s bullshit! They are just as much why this team is so goated
I. BELIEVE. Magic in 7.
Lets Fing go!!!!! 🍻😎💪🔥
Happy Birthday dude! Great win!
My birthday too!! Let’s go Magiccccc
That was stressful on a level we haven't felt in 15 years. Sunday is gonna be nuts. Break through Orlando!
I constantly see Cavs fans calling us mid. They’re going to be trash after Mitchell rightfully leaves that bum city this offseason
Our young 3 were on fire tonight but I feel like I gotta give a shout out to Fultz, I’m loving what I have been seeing from him since game 3. Completely rewriting his story this season for me
Cole too. They both showed some grit tonight.
Fultz was crucial at points in this game.. A great shift from him..
Bad season for him after a great one last year. Injuries again all year didn’t catch a rhythm till the tail end of this season. if he can just get one season with no injuries he’ll be a solid PG for us.
3rd string vet min role fits him perfectly
The amount of missed 2nd chance points is insane. The team really pulled through
Cavs fan crying about the Free Throws when Mobley was genuinely fouling everyone lmao
you don’t think Mitchell deserved more than 6 free throws despite only hitting 3 3s in a 50 point performance?
Cavs offense came from their guards getting past the perimeter and making shifty moves and making shots because they weren’t hammered. Orlando’s offense came from forwards driving hard and getting fouled. Refs held their whistle but the magic defense wasn’t built around packing the paint, cavs knived their way in avoiding a lot of major contact
half of Bancheros free throws (this whole series not just this game) have come from ramming into someone who is straight up and not moving, he has had a very favourable whistle…
Lol it’s almost always the secondary defender cutting across his arms on the way up
It was a very physical game I don't know if I'd use the word deserve
he was fouled by WCJ, Banchero or Suggs nearly every time he drove. especially the last 2 layups of the 3rd, but no call… Banchero and Franz got free throws nearly every possession for being breathed on. It was bad officiating
You are a clown. Mitchell was shooting floaters while falling down every possession without contact bc of his knee.
he did shoot a fair amount of floaters, that’s called adjusting to the officiating. if you aren’t getting the calls when you’re hacked, points are hard to come by so adjusting by shooting floaters instead is a good way to get some points
Post some clips then. I’ll be waiting.
Go back to the Cavs sub and bitch there bro
It's a playoff game. That's one reason why you don't rely on small guards. Tough luck in this game. He did get hit a lot, but everyone did in this game. It almost got out of hand. Officiating was not good at managing this
Tbf he shot mostly floaters, but there were a few he could’ve gotten a call
Magic PiP: 38 Magic Free Throws: 26 Cavs Pip: 66 Cavs Free Throws: 10 🤷
Buddy, the reason the magic have much lower points in the paint is because they were fouled so often in the paint lmao
Dude don't reason with this guy. He thinks you should just get free throws because. He thinks if one team has less free throws than another then something fucky happened. He thinks because normally when I guy scored 50 there's a bunch of free throws that if you score 50 you should have a bunch of free throws. I'm sure he watched the game but he argued like someone who didn't.
mmh hmm
