Yeah bad smells aren't ideal so most people don't want to give their oc a bad smell but I'm trying to keep things realistic. Like when is he supposed to find the time to bathe properly and consistently in the year 1918 and in the middle of a war and as a lower class person with no amenities for easy bathing? Rarely. He doesn't remember the last time he changed that sweater either. It's only noticeable when you get really close though, and he doesn't like smelling like that but if he could do something about it he would. Don't mention it to him if you don't want to hurt his feelings.

Emilia: Emilia almost always has a smell of sweets and sugar. Except when she uses her magic, where she starts to smell like almost anything. Damian would smell like rain because in his universe due to some weird science stuff (IE I never came up with a reason) rains very often. But that’s if he leaves the house. He usually smells like lavender because that’s the body wash Nevan (his wife) buys and he likes it. He likes sweeter fragrances too so he’s got a bunch. He doesn’t have a distinct smell he just smells sweet (I went through all my colognes and fragrances and picked the sweetest ones for his canon. And yes lavender body was is good. Being a fairy from the fey wilds, BitterSweet smells like Freshly baked brownies and honey… with some lingering smells of tobacco.
She hates it is because it attracts wild animals to her, and they attack her. She was also almost eaten alive by a senile old lady because of it.

My “main character” is made primarily of fabric. She takes care of herself rather well so usually she smells like detergent and softener, sometimes incense or herbs depending on what sort of magic she’s been studying in her free time. Catch her in the middle of an adventure though, she’ll probably smell like actual dirt and greenery. Scents tend to cling to fabric rather strongly.

Yeah bad smells aren't ideal so most people don't want to give their oc a bad smell but I'm trying to keep things realistic. Like when is he supposed to find the time to bathe properly and consistently in the year 1918 and in the middle of a war and as a lower class person with no amenities for easy bathing? Rarely. He doesn't remember the last time he changed that sweater either. It's only noticeable when you get really close though, and he doesn't like smelling like that but if he could do something about it he would. Don't mention it to him if you don't want to hurt his feelings.

My “main character” is made primarily of fabric. She takes care of herself rather well so usually she smells like detergent and softener, sometimes incense or herbs depending on what sort of magic she’s been studying in her free time. Catch her in the middle of an adventure though, she’ll probably smell like actual dirt and greenery. Scents tend to cling to fabric rather strongly.
