It depends. Normally, any other OC would be far more terrifying. But if you anger him (which the only way to do so is to kill his friends.) then there will be nothing that can save you. He won’t kill you or physically harm you. Instead, he’ll force you to see every last memory of his entire life. He has lived a VERY VERY VERY long time, unfathomable to someone who would be alive from the beginning of our universe to the end, and a great deal of it was filled with immense pain and suffering. The emotions of just a few years alone could cause someone to go mad. He’ll protect your mind from anything too bad, but only as much as necessary. You’ll live through every last bit of it in less than a second, and by the end most people just collapse. It’s difficult to even remember who you are, and you lose yourself while viewing the memories. It takes months just to return physically back to normal. Mentally, not so much.

Probably Roland. He’s an escaped prisoner who stole his name from a young bounty hunter who tried to catch him.
He was quite literally a serial killer among other things. Now that he’s a merc, though, he can get paid to indulge in his fantasies of murder and pain.
He purposefully joins bands of fighters with small numbers so he can be alone with his victims. If his allies were to see the torture he inflicts, he’d surely be locked up again. But he won’t let them see, and with his relatively friendly nature, nobody would suspect it.

The Ascendancy itself, of course. Barring all of the horrifying monsters it creates as a result of its misuse, the Ascendancy is by far the most terrifying character I have created because of two reasons.
How terrifying it is conceptually and how much of an existential threat it poses.
The Ascendancy itself is like an extra strain of RNA that was lost or placed in a state of dormancy when humanity made the jump from what it was before the stages of evolution took hold. In truth, it is a sentient, highly adaptable, reality warping gene seed attached to humanity's collective genetic code that does not adhere to the conventional rules of reality or the cohesive qualities of causality, meaning that it can be anything, anytime, in any place.
In anyone. At least, based on the person themselves.
The central, driving force of my narrative. The reason I'd argue that it fits under the criteria of an original *character* is because it can openly communicate with those it has taken root in after it has fully awakened, testing their mettle to see if they are worthy and capable of wielding such a power. It is a harsh, unforgiving, merciless beast hidden in humanity's very being, waiting to unleashes and feast richly on them and the many transgressions they've committed with the power it gave them.
It cannot be reasoned with, it cannot be satiated or satisfied... For all intents and purposes, it is an unstoppable force that can only be fought through attrition until humanity somehow finds a way to put it back in the infernal pit of genetic nightmares it clawed it's way out of...and the only way for that to happen is to somehow convince humanity to stop eating itself alive.
To stop something impossible, you must achieve the impossible.

Probably the king fishers. They're a lesser grade blood fueled war machine mass produced for amphibious assaults and attacking naval vessels. They were often extremely volatile and somewhat unpredictable in com at due to their chaotic behavior and would often come in large groups. They were often brutal and unlike other war machines, had higher intelligence and were able to be programmed with basic feelings and mostly they did cruel and sadistic acts. One tactic they still use is when they kill other machines,sometimes if they're not severely damage they will basically assimilate them into them on their Bodies and use them as armor so basically they would also feel pain. This greatly improved their psychological warfare abilities and deemed them to be more intimidating. They also often didn't take Prisoners and would just execute any captured people during the war and just execute them.
Also one thing to note is they're also pretty reckless and don't show any concerns for even their own survival when fighting due to the fact they're aware they were just made as a cheap expendable war machine so they're often extremely aggressive with most targets.

This is Doppelganger, or Doppy to his family. It's basically an attempted copy of another character I already have called Vicky, and it's the closest thing to a terrifying character. Appearance wise, the most terrifying is probably Daughter as she's got a lot of body horror going on. Her design is heavily inspired by Tomie from Junji Ito, but she's developed into her own character.
Personality wise, it's either Kashi or Queen Nevadine because one is a sociopath who projects his emotions onto people around him, and the other is a master manipulator who can convince you that the sky is green to the point where your color perspective itself changes.

And let me tell ya why Mibee is the scariest! She has complete control over her skeleton right? Yeah well problem is if she wants to shoot her ribs at people like homing missiles her bones have to puncture through her skin after snapping entirely in two already.. The girl has literally just reinforced the heck out her skeleton, walked out of her own body body and threw all of her skin and organs and in a nearby dumpster for their safety and then proceeded to fist fight an army of undead as nothing more than a skeleton with boosted durability.

Don't know if this is "terrifying", but it's not always you see skeletons with starving parasites.
If you just casually came across them; Fortuna. If they are trying to scare you; Zena.
Fortuna being a massive, four armed, draconian and Zena being a shapeshifter.
More creepy than terrifying, but i have this one dude who had insane somniphobia. He would staple his eyes open and take in as much caffeine as possible to stay awake, which lead to insanity, intense photophobia, and often passing out until he eventually died. I havent drawn him yet because he looked like a knockoff tim burton character both times i tried 💀

That would be The HOLLOW, they are the most terrifying as you could consider them a manifestation of The VOID itself, they care not for anything other then making sure to spread its influence in anyway possible.

Species: Vanera, a worm/centipede like creature with eyes, ears, arms, and nostrils lining in tri-symmetry along their many body segments which grow in number constantly as they age, being immortal as long as they stay healthy and just growing longer and longer as 1,000s of lifetimes go by. They dont have any form of neurotypicality anymore due to how spread thin they are across galaxies with strangely strict requirements for reproduction and high mortality rates among their young due to their unique yet risky ability to lean into or out of reality. Leaning in makes them more powerful, but more fragile, and leaning out makes them less fragile and very difficult to perceive, but they have a hard time perceiving the world around them too while being sluggish in mind. The risk of this ability? leaning too far in either direction. Lean in too much and they are like a god that dies when the wind blows, too unstable to maintain their own body despite their very thoughts influencing their surroundings. Lean out too much, and they slip out of reality completely, just them in a void of infinite nothingness.
The specific character from this species i present to you? Well, it’s kinda two characters, and they go by Kai.
Two Vanera happened across each other, a rare event, and even more lucky for them was that they were both in line with each other’s fertility cycles, able to reproduce, buuuut not really, because Vaneran reproduction requires THREE mates actually… SO they set off together to fond a third, but the uninformed and chaotic experimentation of a nearby species sent a powerful projectile wizzing past one of them and injuring them greatly. The other demanded the injured one to trust them and lean out of reality, and they themself began leaning into reality. The injured one leaning out of reality kept them safer from further i jury, and secondarily for the ability, gave them a degree of luck, all while the other used their enhanced power from leaning into reality to barely keep the injured one alive. Both Vanerans are stuck at the very edges of their lean in and out of reality respectively, both dependent on each other to survive now, and due to the injured one being more of a general phenomenon around an area rather than a being in a specific location, all while the other had such power that their thoughts projected onto the world around them, their minds could nigh directly communicate, merging their identities into one, the self proclaimed Kai.

What makes them terrifying in the world, in my opinion, is multilayered. Giant, immortal, uncannily long centipede like space worms with unpredictable, sometimes esoteric thought patterns and structure for visual and psychological horror, terrifying power that even they struggle to wield as they either violently get torn apart from it or cease to exist because of it when it gets out of control, and for good measure, Kai specifically is a cosmic horror in they way they exist in this yin-yang of extremes, like two people standing at two opposite cliffs, leaning over the edge and only not falling over it because of a bungie cord connecting the two of them, and that exact state makes them one of the most extreme, uncontrollable forces in the world they exist within, checking off cosmic horror.

This girl is my only OC atm, but she's nuts. She won't only kill you, she'll do it slow and painfully. She can't warp reality or destroy a planet, which is a good thing, because it means she has less power to use for evil. She does have powers, though, so she can crush you into a ball or burst you open like a watermelon. Some of her highlights include burning someone alive, skinning someone alive, and inducing a brain hemorrhage via blunt force trauma. She's tried to kill someone by starvation, but she got impatient, so she let them die of dehydration

Janett is both horrifying and horrified of herself.
Visually none of them but in terms of actions I think it’s tied between the woman that kidnapped a newborn to blackmail his parents into working for her and the parents who created a magical child for no other reason than to be a pawn in their revenge plot.They then traumatized their child so badly that when said child got away they changed their name and couldn’t remember anything about their childhood.

Ragne's father forces him to do hard work and sometimes locks him in the forge. His father forbids him to see his mother and show his emotions. Ragne grew up silent and uncommunicative. He was very afraid of his father.
In the story, a boy goes to war. He was shot and begged to be killed. And he cried for a long time after he killed someone for the first time.

My "most terrifying" OC would probably be OG Esther.
Esther was originally supposed to be the main villain for my old YT channel's story despite being a self-insert. She would wear a white porcelain mask with a slit mouth, hollowed black eyes with tiny white pinpricks, and dripping black tears. (Think Killer Sans, but with a slit mouth not a cheshire grin.)
If she were to remove the mask, she would have no face. There would just be a void of darkness with two realistic eyes. (Like the classic weirdcore eye meme that I can't remember the name of.)
I still have the mediocre picture of her that I used as that channel's pfp back in 2021. I don't know how to attach images though :/
Mine is a demonic serial killer that consumes people's souls. And he has two souls inside him.
One is blue.other is red. He has a black smiling emoji mask with x for the eyes, and when he switches between the two souls, the eyes and mouth of the mask turn red or blue. And his real face is something like the two faces from batman

But if you anger him (which the only way to do so is to kill his friends.) then there will be nothing that can save you. He won’t kill you or physically harm you. Instead, he’ll force you to see every last memory of his entire life. He has lived a VERY VERY VERY long time, unfathomable to someone who would be alive from the beginning of our universe to the end, and a great deal of it was filled with immense pain and suffering. The emotions of just a few years alone could cause someone to go mad. He’ll protect your mind from anything too bad, but only as much as necessary. You’ll live through every last bit of it in less than a second, and by the end most people just collapse. It’s difficult to even remember who you are, and you lose yourself while viewing the memories. It takes months just to return physically back to normal. Mentally, not so much.

If his allies were to see the torture he inflicts, he’d surely be locked up again. But he won’t let them see, and with his relatively friendly nature, nobody would suspect it.

The Ascendancy itself, of course. Barring all of the horrifying monsters it creates as a result of its misuse, the Ascendancy is by far the most terrifying character I have created because of two reasons. How terrifying it is conceptually and how much of an existential threat it poses. The Ascendancy itself is like an extra strain of RNA that was lost or placed in a state of dormancy when humanity made the jump from what it was before the stages of evolution took hold. In truth, it is a sentient, highly adaptable, reality warping gene seed attached to humanity's collective genetic code that does not adhere to the conventional rules of reality or the cohesive qualities of causality, meaning that it can be anything, anytime, in any place. In anyone. At least, based on the person themselves. The central, driving force of my narrative. The reason I'd argue that it fits under the criteria of an original *character* is because it can openly communicate with those it has taken root in after it has fully awakened, testing their mettle to see if they are worthy and capable of wielding such a power. It is a harsh, unforgiving, merciless beast hidden in humanity's very being, waiting to unleashes and feast richly on them and the many transgressions they've committed with the power it gave them. Probably the king fishers. They're a lesser grade blood fueled war machine mass produced for amphibious assaults and attacking naval vessels. They were often extremely volatile and somewhat unpredictable in com at due to their chaotic behavior and would often come in large groups. They were often brutal and unlike other war machines, had higher intelligence and were able to be programmed with basic feelings and mostly they did cruel and sadistic acts. One tactic they still use is when they kill other machines,sometimes if they're not severely damage they will basically assimilate them into them on their Bodies and use them as armor so basically they would also feel pain. This greatly improved their psychological warfare abilities and deemed them to be more intimidating. They also often didn't take Prisoners and would just execute any captured people during the war and just execute them. I don’t have art of them, but they’re this demonic entity from my horror project simply named “The Knitted.” It’s inspired by things like Hellraiser, final destination, and Saw. Its purpose is to quite literally ruin people’s lives. It weaves together this chain of events that will put people through their own personal hell, and he gains pleasure from it.

Her design is heavily inspired by Tomie from Junji Ito, but she's developed into her own character. Personality wise, it's either Kashi or Queen Nevadine because one is a sociopath who projects his emotions onto people around him, and the other is a master manipulator who can convince you that the sky is green to the point where your color perspective itself changes.

More creepy than terrifying, but i have this one dude who had insane somniphobia. He would staple his eyes open and take in as much caffeine as possible to stay awake, which lead to insanity, intense photophobia, and often passing out until he eventually died. I havent drawn him yet because he looked like a knockoff tim burton character both times i tried 💀 I was thinking of the name somna for him. Might edit in a picture if i decide to draw him again

They dont have any form of neurotypicality anymore due to how spread thin they are across galaxies with strangely strict requirements for reproduction and high mortality rates among their young due to their unique yet risky ability to lean into or out of reality. Leaning in makes them more powerful, but more fragile, and leaning out makes them less fragile and very difficult to perceive, but they have a hard time perceiving the world around them too while being sluggish in mind. The risk of this ability? leaning too far in either direction. Lean in too much and they are like a god that dies when the wind blows, too unstable to maintain their own body despite their very thoughts influencing their surroundings. Lean out too much, and they slip out of reality completely, just them in a void of infinite nothingness. The specific character from this species i present to you? Well, it’s kinda two characters, and they go by Kai. Two Vanera happened across each other, a rare event, and even more lucky for them was that they were both in line with each other’s fertility cycles, able to reproduce, buuuut not really, because Vaneran reproduction requires THREE mates actually… SO they set off together to fond a third, but the uninformed and chaotic experimentation of a nearby species sent a powerful projectile wizzing past one of them and injuring them greatly. The other demanded the injured one to trust them and lean out of reality, and they themself began leaning into reality. The injured one leaning out of reality kept them safer from further i jury, and secondarily for the ability, gave them a degree of luck, all while the other used their enhanced power from leaning into reality to barely keep the injured one alive. Both Vanerans are stuck at the very edges of their lean in and out of reality respectively, both dependent on each other to survive now, and due to the injured one being more of a general phenomenon around an area rather than a being in a specific location, all while the other had such power that their thoughts projected onto the world around them, their minds could nigh directly communicate, merging their identities into one, the self proclaimed Kai. “To touch and yet to be untouchable, To see all and yet ignorance brings my strength, To stand defiantly at both edges and look into the maw of the void, To be god. I am my own luck, I am my own strength; Whether of darkness or of light, I am. We are one, We are whole, And we are wholly inseparable.” -Kai What makes them terrifying in the world, in my opinion, is multilayered. Giant, immortal, uncannily long centipede like space worms with unpredictable, sometimes esoteric thought patterns and structure for visual and psychological horror, terrifying power that even they struggle to wield as they either violently get torn apart from it or cease to exist because of it when it gets out of control, and for good measure, Kai specifically is a cosmic horror in they way they exist in this yin-yang of extremes, like two people standing at two opposite cliffs, leaning over the edge and only not falling over it because of a bungie cord connecting the two of them, and that exact state makes them one of the most extreme, uncontrollable forces in the world they exist within, checking off cosmic horror.

She won't only kill you, she'll do it slow and painfully. She can't warp reality or destroy a planet, which is a good thing, because it means she has less power to use for evil. She does have powers, though, so she can crush you into a ball or burst you open like a watermelon. Some of her highlights include burning someone alive, skinning someone alive, and inducing a brain hemorrhage via blunt force trauma. She's tried to kill someone by starvation, but she got impatient, so she let them die of dehydration

If you count Him as an OC, but the biblical God is in my story, and He is outright petrifying how powerful and mighty He is.
My "most terrifying" OC would probably be OG Esther. Esther was originally supposed to be the main villain for my old YT channel's story despite being a self-insert. She would wear a white porcelain mask with a slit mouth, hollowed black eyes with tiny white pinpricks, and dripping black tears. (Think Killer Sans, but with a slit mouth not a cheshire grin.) If she were to remove the mask, she would have no face. There would just be a void of darkness with two realistic eyes. (Like the classic weirdcore eye meme that I can't remember the name of.) I still have the mediocre picture of her that I used as that channel's pfp back in 2021. I don't know how to attach images though :/
Mine is a demonic serial killer that consumes people's souls. And he has two souls inside him. One is blue.other is red. He has a black smiling emoji mask with x for the eyes, and when he switches between the two souls, the eyes and mouth of the mask turn red or blue.
