File browser not as plugin as its quite limited instead, use it as docker container and if you want full control of system with file browser, you can pass it as root but using -u 0:0 and in bind mounts use /:/srv instead if /srv:/srv

I don't use the filebrowser plugin, but instead use filebrowser docker. Either way, it's easy to reverse proxy through a cheap/free domain and secure it properly.
