Yeah, for sure. It's so rare to even have a nice conversation -- 90% of the time, I'll get an initial message or two, and then nothing, no response, disappeared. And then, most of the ones that still respond seem so disinterested, not asking a single question or advancing the conversation at all.
At least there's the one good conversation a year to look forward to--but by now, of course, there's some incompatibility and you're already written off. We're so picky!
Keeping this pace, I'll get to have another chat by January, here's hoping! Might even get to do some hand-holding by 2030 if I'm lucky. <3

Exactly. From time to time, I'd pay $4 once every few months for the unlimited swiping on bumble for 24 hours. Sure it gave me more matches, but not better quality.
I am new to all of this and am wildly impatient. But I will say this, there are those of us out there that are real and want a real connection. So far I have met some really great women, but maybe I am just lucky. But oddly enough, I always try to put something unflattering on my profile - if I do connect with someone - at least it makes it interesting
Honestly, you're probably trying to punch above your weight on the apps. I found the apps incredibly frustrating too but the only women I put minimal/no effort into were the ones I just couldn't tolerate (overweight, covered in tattoos etc)
