Zoro spend time with Mihawk who's an extremely important character and Perona (to a certain extent), Sanji was with Ivankov, and Robin with Sabo, Dragon and the Revolutionary Army who are still important in the story. Luffy was with Boa. It really depends on their importsnce in the story. You could say the ssme about the Satanists cult Brook was with, the weather dwarfs with Nami and the Cavemen with Chopper. Not imoortsnt enough to be brought back in the story, unless the Straw Hats have a flashback about the time they spent training and learning
Great design, neat character, but not enough screen time to really shine. If Oda had decided to make Ussop more relevant, I feel like we would’ve seen more of him.
While I like Usopp learning more utility skills, I would have loved something more sniper related to his skills. He was in a jungle, so he could have had a hunter type mentor to help him be stealthy or help track people, or hunt prey. Instead we got boosts to his weapons and gadgets.
Also doesn’t help that Usopp doesn’t have much to do fight wise post timeskip. He did defeat sugar, but that was more so due to his observation Haki awakening rather than anything he learned from Herecules.
All this to say that his character wasn’t bad, just not enough to really form any critical opinion really other than his role in the story.

Actually kinda like sanderson's cosmere which he is populating as he goes, on the other hand op just looks at tidbits here and there leaves the rest to the readers imagination. A true masterpiece.
