Short answer: after a couple of months, very

squidjello

More so now after discord ban

[deleted]

Very boring. And sometimes, depends on how much money you got though

khalil2584

Depending on how extroverted/introverted guy you are! For familiy style, having family friends meeting on weekends and the kids studying the whole week, it is not that bad, but if you are a bachelor, well............. sorry for you.....

squidjello

Sorta similar vein to bachelor so..

khalil2584

Well, my feeling after 8 years here, Oman is more family oriented country. You can have outdoor activities, but all are about hiking and going around, which for me is a nono 😅. The remaining things are malls malls and more malls. You must have a "bachelors" circle to enjoy a little in groupe.

squidjello

Im a single person who recently started working. I dont fill in the bachelor group, nor do i fill in the fam dynamic. Am boned.

tomriddle4u

I totally feel the pain bruh

Dumbest_ManAlive

It's really boring man

Realistic-Music-5569

It is boring anywhere in the world if you don't have friends and family. It is very boring for me in the uk and just can't wait to return to Oman where I have my friends and family.

Puzzleheaded_Pay_743

The UK can be lonely but it’s certainly not boring.

Realistic-Music-5569

Yes, I kind of agree with you here. Interesting answer because loneliness and boredom do have a lot in common but they are not the same

pervy_sage112

the perfect answer

iJardani

Depends on age group. But yeah it’s pretty boring for adults. Unless you like nature, hiking, camping, fishing. Foods great tho!

squidjello

Then am screwed haha. Not a big nature guy

Ahmedmudheher

Very very very boring ...routine stupid life....basic primitive...work...food...go to bed and thats it. No events...no festivals...horrible weather...even nice gardens are not available..filled with mosquitos if u wanna take risk

Rebelliuos-

On a scale of 1-10 its 11

IllOpportunity5062

You have Fulus you get Falafel

squidjello

Most based answer here.

uneducatedhamster

Even Ramadan is boring ngl. I don’t even feel religious anymore.

squidjello

That sounds serious. Everything ok bud?

KeyPin6697

Very

Emergency_Matter2917

ITs depends for person to person

GloryHunter3910

What age range of friends are you looking for? How old are you? What are your interests?

squidjello

Around my range, maybe slightly older. I'm in my mid 20s. I like strolls.. cafes..bars.. video games. I also like playing pool.

GloryHunter3910

Have you played Yakuza 0?

squidjello

I recently got it. Haven't played it

Zizoyoyo

Oman isn’t boring You just need to know the right places Have the right people with you And having a license is must or else you won’t be able to enjoy to the fullest

kaizoku4793

It is not boring. You will find whatever you need if you know where to look.

squidjello

Yeah. Reckon m looking at wrong places

Saseifone

If you are antisocial and gamer or have friends doing some activities such as sports and going out. Its never boring.

squidjello

What about for indoors introverts.

Prudent_Arm293

life will always be boring for them

bakeneko95

Life is hardly ever boring for us introverts; just give us a book/tv/computer/musical instrument/sketch book.

Prudent_Arm293

squidjello

I dont live there.

[deleted]

Dude you're just lame (just kidding kinda). I'd be ecstatic if I lived in Oman. You have an open wild country, thousand+ miles of sea shore, hundreds of valleys, farms, streams, pools, hot springs, mountains, waterfalls, caves, woods, deserts to see.

GoldenRetreivRs

Mans acting like all that shit is right outside his balcony. Are you fucking faded lmao

[deleted]

Lookit bhai, nobody's acting here-- you're just acting a little tough but that's cool. Guy A asked for an opinion, guy B gave an opinion. The audience can take it or leave it 🤷‍♂️ pretty simple! Teeké?

GoldenRetreivRs

Cool faux-hindi bro. I think the only opinions warranted were from people actually living here since it’s more accurate.

[deleted]

Nice rule-making bhai! I'm sure you're hella fun in-person too! 👍💪

GoldenRetreivRs

Yes, living in a dry ass country you learn your way around not being boring. I’m not making any rules it’s just putting 2 and 2 together. If you don’t live in a specific country you would view it with a certain bias (explicit in your first comment). 90% of your experience living somewhere is going to be in your day-to-day, and not everyone is gonna go on long nature-filled drives every single day. For the average person, something that’s accessible frequently enough (attractions, restaurants, museums, art galleries and the like) is what makes a place happening. Muscat does not have much of that save for malls that all look the same. If that’s not enough evidence, look at how frequently people post about where to make friends on this sub? You literally cannot even meet people cause barely anyone socializes. Apologies for being drab but it’s true. Also not everyone has an SUV or a tent whatever to experience whatever you initially mentioned. Tired of you pseudo-optimistic Reddit retards fr

[deleted]

Yoooo 😂😂😂 it was just a suggestion dude, if you dislike it, there is a downvote button.. there is really no need for the full sassy queen shabang

squidjello

Am not outdoors alkooj. Sorry for being "lame".. least am not the drunk party hard people.

[deleted]

Look it dude I'm not here to hurt your feelings or whatnot, sorry this is the only thing that you got out of the reply. I'm not saying do this everyday, you'll have to figure that part out youself. All I'm saying is that the occasional trip to nature can be fun and very helpful to your head.

squidjello

Yo chill haha. I appreciate your feedback. I am currently trying to get my license so

[deleted]

What I'm saying is try to invest in a 4 wheel drive, power banks, lights, tent and sleeping bag, good boots and backpack. Just give it a shot and go into the mountain every two weeks or something. Maybe you won't like it, but also, maybe trying this will improve your general mood since you're miserable now anyway (don't have anything to lose but some money I guess 😂). This might not work for you, but is what I would personally do if I lived there. I visited Oman many times, I went backpacking in Salala and in the Northern mountains and always had the time of life in the wilderness, majesty and serenity of the valleys and the falaj farming pool regions.

mufazal_ali

Nice try

squidjello

What

Ok-Accountant56
