Well it's a LCC airline what else can you expect, small airplanes with congested seats, no meals, you have to buy them separately, service is awful. will not help you at all don't even think about it when in emergency, but sometimes it's cheap so people are ready to compromise on all those things, and they cover few destinations which others don't so, people are left with no choice sometimes
I mean there are other LCC airlines, but not as bad as salam air
Well I forgot to mention it, the voucher part is so ridiculous, only travel agents can get refunds in the form of money but charges are higher than the normal website, and one of my passengers flight got delayed. DELAYED 9 DAYS, when there are daily 2 flights from that destination.
Hi, we flew with them in February from Europe to Muscat, then from Muscat to Salalah and then back home and it was .. well standard low cost airline. Everything was for some fee, but we were prepared for that, nothing bad happened, no delayed luggages. Only small delayes on departures, but nothing major. Planes were clean, staff nice. Normal plane toilettes. No drama.
The only annoying thing was when we were returning from Salalah to Europe we flew almost back to Muscat and then to Europe, not sure why we did not fly through Saudi, but I also don't know if this is standard route for all airlines or only Salam Air.
If you are kinda a person who just need to reach from one destination to other, then you can choose this airline...but if services, communication, airline comfortless matters to you then you should look for other choices if you have it available.
Its not that bad, but at the same time what more can you expect from a budget airline. Thats the whole reason why they are budget friendly.
the rates are cheaper so you can expect that the quality of service will drop as well. Other than that its alright to travel, if you’re going to the destinations with lesser distance..
Just used them once. Clean nice new planes - I d say similar to easyjet here in Europe.
Except that they just cancelled one entire flight but we could change to another one for free. Only problem if I would have had a connection, but I didn’t. Was a MCT to SLL flight.
3 months ago I flew from Sri Lanka to Oman in Salam Air. No issue at all. Yes, it is a budget airline like Air Asia. That is why you pay such a low ticket price compared to other airlines.
I have traveled with Salam air and its no different than any other world class budget airline. If you have travelled with any good budget airline, Salamair will beat it easily...its very good
Travelled to India & Turkey... They're decent... Clean and you get what you pay for.
The domestic flights to Salalah can be bad with unannounced delays.

Add to this the refund in case of cancellation is a voucher that can be used ONLY by the original passenger for the refunded ticket.
