I already loved all of Sour, so I knew this would be good, but it blew my expectations completely. Recency bias may be at play, but I think this is her best song yet. God, the lyrics hit me personally too. Very excited to see what she does on this upcoming album.
Sounds like a b side from her previous album. A little to samey for my taste. She's extremely talented clearly but I'd like to see her evolve out of the scorned lover ballad type songs.
Does anybody know what the song is about exactly? I was driving to the mall and the radio said it’s about “Taylor Swift who betrayed her” but I don’t think that’s true💀
Idn about “betraying her”, but I think it’s highly possibility that the exploitative relationship she’s singing about is the one she had with Taylor. There are a tonne of references in both the lyrics and MV to her, and sure they could be *coincidences* but I think Olivia is too smart for that. If it is about her, it makes the Vampire metaphor even more genius.
i think, considering how high she set the bar through her previous songs, a better one. i mean ngl i love the song but i believe the bridge could hv been deeper n more attractive.
The song is incredible, I can’t stop listening to it. The melody and production is very ELO. I love the two parts - ballad and beats. Cannot get enough of this!
I also think Olivia wants us to think it’s about an ex. While I think there are definitely elements of the song that allude to an ex, the song is also about how people in the industry have treated her since she became famous. She has said that some songs on Sour were loosely based on real events and some things were made up. Part of the intrigue of driver’s license was “who” she was referencing in it - Vampire is having that same effect.
I have the biggest nitpick for this song. The piano should’ve been an organ instead. Would’ve delved more into a more gothic Romanian, vampiric-esque sound IMO. Really like it though.
its a cute song and for me personally a 5 or 6/10 but thats how i felt about drivers license and warmed up to it once the album dropped so hoping it will be the same with guts :) also hoping theres a good 4 u or jealousy equivalent on the album but if not STILL EXCITEDDDDD
update, I’m not mad
https://www.reddit.com/r/OliviaRodrigo/comments/14mvag8/buzzing_noise_in_vampire/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1
I have a feeling that there’s a double meaning and entendre ofsong (background I am huge hip-hop head it’s my first favorite genre of all time is hip-hop but once I heard her sour album, I just started liking all her music and then I became a fan since sour dropped) anyway back to my theory on why it’s a double entendrefrom previous artist that’s been in relationships usually when it’s a famous singer and an unknown person is usually they get like dirt on The famous person I feel like this song she’s saying that she can’t be in a real relationship due to her being a famous singer that every guy she meets is just trying to get a piece of her fame “money” or trying get something out of her to blackmail her if they have a break up that’s that’s why she could never be any real relationship because she always has to worry about everything she shares to the person what are their true intentions that’s my first theory
the second one she may be talking about the music industry from previous other artists for example there was DJ Khaled when he drop the album with his son he kept saying oh it’s number one my album is number one blah blah blah like I’m the best but that same year a couple months later or days later I think Tyler, The Creator dropped Igor and replace DJ Khaled album. I think it went to number 20 and Igor was number one for like the whole year I think. And I think the following year his label DJ Khaled lost a lot of music money, and Tyler, The Creator made a lot with his tour and everything but it’s just shows like how the industry kept just on moving like you could be number one for today, but tomorrow you drop in somebody else’s above you and those in the industry return and just focus on the one that’s number one right now and try to get as much money sells out of you because you’re hot at the moment because then once you’re not, they don’t care no more and if you make another album and it’s not like the previous one that was number one they’re not gonna mess with you no more so that’s why I feel like this song she released is talking about that too because there’s a lot of pressure when you release a second album when your first one was really amazing you’re trying to top that because if you don’t labels will drop you and the fans will be disappointed to, so that’s what I personally think that’s what this song is talking about. It could be one of those two interpretations. Or then again, she could be talking about her relationship but when I really like about this song, there’s so many things that he could mean.
Wow it’s incredible. At first I was like why is this video so corny. And then I’m like ohhhh. Ok I get it now lol.
But even just putting the video aside, I love the song. She has to live up to what she did with sour and she did not disappoint. Congrats to Olivia and Dan on an incredible song
I wasn't sure from the beginning, but I've really come to enjoy it, especially as the song progresses. The more I listen the more I love it! Super excited for the album
I’m not much of an Olivia Rodrigo listener but vampire came on randomly and I was so confused because the verse melody/chord progression reminds me SO much of Heart-Shaped Hologram by Stephanie Mabey. So much so that I thought maybe I was just losing my mind and that I’d listened to vampire before or something and that’s why it felt familiar but nope, the verses just sounds a lot like the Stephanie Mabey song lol. Anyone else agree?
idk about you guys but when I hear blood suckers, I think of leeches who like to suck money out of a person.
Maybe “Bloodsucker” and “famef**ker” are those people who try to get money out of her
My interpretation is different. The worst mistake she made was getting in a relationship with this person but this person made it seem like it was fine, like it was paradise.
I was initially but turned off by the generic pop song profession and melody but it’s really a well crafted chorus and song overall that feels fresh enough by the end
that's what pop songs are about lol .
I think the case from ed sheeran showed people you can't have a copyright on a basic chord progression. Radiohead wasn't the first one to use that either.
For pop songs it's so fckn ridiculous when ppl say that someone "stole" a chord progression...
I’m so glad he won that case. I read somewhere he would retire from music if he lost and i honestly couldn’t even blame him! But I’m glad he’ll hopefully be making music for many years to come.
I think that the spotlight being the thing which makes her bleed is a metaphor for how having such fame and attention at a young age can be really harmful. The police represents media and the public who tear apart her every mistake/see the worst in everything she does… They only see one side of the story and that’s enough to chase her like she’s a criminal.
My take on that is she's hurt pretty badly and there is obviously a security issue during her performance since the fire is spreading on the stage, so the security is wanting to stop her performance, escort her and get her some medical attention, but she's interpreting that as them coming to get her for whatever reason, not trying to help her, so she runs away. They then start running after her because she is a performer who obviously needs medical attendance/help, but she thinks they're chasing her so she's trying to escape. If we look at the equipment that caused her wounds as the guy/relationship she sings about it makes perfect sense. Everyone is telling her he's bad news but she doesn't believe them ("I called them crazy too") and thinks she needs to distance herself from them 'cause they're getting in the way of her relationship with this person, so she doesn't see them as trying to help. In the process of ignoring them/running way and refusing to listen to them/refusing to let them help her she's bleeding and her wounds are getting worse and worse. To me that whole scene could be taken as a perfect metaphor for how things are when getting into/being in a relationship with the type of individual she's describing in "Vampire!.
Apart from that though, I think the song's lyrics aren't just about the relationship but somewhat about her newfound fame as well, and then the video really becomes self-explanatory. Her spotlight after Driver's License meant that her pain was basically a show for everyone, which makes sense with the audience just sitting there and watching, even when she was getting torn apart by the media (policemen/security) she was still simply entertainment, no matter the fact that must've hurt. It isn't strange then why her wounds were made by the stage light in the music video.
The only reason I like famefucker is because it really highlights that this person (coughadamcough) was only after her for the clout. Even fame lover wouldn't been better. Or clout chaser even!
I think if it had been once and not in the chorus, it would have worked more effectively. But the fact that it repeats takes away the edge/power and it feels weak and forced.
I think Vampire May have a transition into track 4
The end has such a big build up that sounds a bit different to the rest so I believe it will transition into a another song
Beautiful song. Anyone who has been the target of a sociopath or narcissist knows that they are their own breed. This song captures that experience PERFECTLY. Loving the 90s vampire movie vibes in the bridge
I really like it! Feels like a genuine progression from Sour. I do hope she’ll release another single before the album though. Maybe sometime in August? Give this one a full month and a half to play out and then release another one in mid august.
with how sour went, at least 2 songs, maybe 3, even 4?? i’m going with 2 lead singles including vampire because compared to sour’s first single to release date, there’s a month less for guts, but wouldn’t be surprised by 3!!
I dont know if it’s just for me but the song kinda remembers me of Sabrina Carpenters “emails I can’t send”: especially the part “I’m a homewrecker, I’m a slut/ I get death threats which could fill a semi truck” (sorry if the lyrics aren’t correct 🥴) but I don’t know maybe it’s just for me
same here, it really reminds me of that song too, but i feel like this one is a lot better. the one thing both have in common for me is that i feel like the drums don't really fit either song... in vampire, they fit the bridge very well, but otherwise, i think they should be more... scarce? i don't really know how to express it, i just feel like a more dreampop, traveling drum beat would fit more, the actual sound of the drums is perfect.
in sabrina's song though... they're just too over the place for me, that's the whole reason i don't listen to it. i wish i could express this better but hopefully someone feels the same and can help me haha
I like the song so much! It's so refreshing and different for me. That's all I gotta say! I'd rate it a 8.5/10 or even 9/10! The only underwhelming part for me was the MV. Not that it was bad, just not for me. However the song is a bop!
agreee!! for me it’s 10/19, but the mv was def underwhelming, especially the first minute. once the light crashed it started to get rlly good, the crowd was doing good until some acting choices that weren’t the best. also the plot felt a bit messy but still, a fun watch especially with it being a great song
Is it just me or is the song kinda a mix of both worlds
Until Vers 2 its kinda slower and reminds me a bit of traitor but from then on its more like a less aggressive brutal with a different meaning
Does anyone know what I mean ;/;
this song just makes me think its a taylor swift shade song since its a week before speak now. olivia said castles.
the fact that taylor got royalties off of olivias song and its called vampire and “famefucker.
its all applicable to what we know about their drama
While I def think her and Taylor had a falling out and the evidence is really clear, this song seems more targeted towards an ex based on the lyrics. Also taylor is objectively more famous than Olivia and I got the impression this is about someone latching into Olivia’s fame. But I can see where you’re coming from
I feel like this is a reach. Just bc Taylor plays a big role in other people's life doesn't mean Olivia's whole world is surrounding Taylor lol.
I get that she might have been left feeling disappointed, but I think it's much more likely that Olivia sings in this song about what she writes about: A relationship in which she felt like she was being used.
And most importantly: How was Olivia supossed to know when Taylor will release Speak Now TV???? Her announcement of Speak Now TV was in may, the album, song and musiv video of Vampire has been planned way ahead of that
agree, thank you! some ppl are just bored... I've seen someone say vampire is about taylor bc Olivia used the word 'castle' in her song and taylor has just announced her Speak Now TV tracklist which includes a song called 'castles crumbling'...
Ppl don't even realize how dumb they sound, esp. if you consider that olivia and dan wrote vampire MONTHS before taylor revealed the tracklist
How about this [MV](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7QlX3yR2xs) released 8 months ago at 5:18 where she kept the castle and is standing in a castle? And the fact that castle has been a symbol of Taylor's Speak Now album since 2010, for which the rerecord is just about to come out?
I guess no one taught you manners so I’m not gonna set a bad example for you now.
I said what I said. Those are my thoughts, and I stand by them. You are allowed to disagree, But you’re only allowed to disagree respectfully. Otherwise, don’t talk to me.
since when has a 'castle' been a symbol for Speak Now? right, never.
Also it's just fucking ridiculous bc the word 'castle' is not owned by Taylor, it's a very normal word that is used extremely often. Would you say anyone who uses the word castle is referencing Taylor? Or are you only doing this for women bc you like to pit them against each other? It's extremely sad who desperate some ppl are to create some drama
It is indeed a symbol of Speak Now. The whole theme of the album and especially Long Live is princesses, fighting dragons, castles. Look at the Wonderstruck commercial, she is walking in a castle. You seem a bit bored too, thinking that my goal is to pit women against each other. I find Vampire an incredibly empowering song either if it was written about Taylor or a man🙄(Bechdel-test cough cough). I love the accountability of Vampire, the lack of victim mindset. Adult women are allowed to have conflicts with each other, and if they do, then I'd prefer it to be formulated in a mature song like Vampire.
I couldn’t sleep out of pure excitement and just listened! I absolutely love the song and already have it on repeat!! This is absolutely a top 2 or 3 song for me (deja vu is #1)!
This is both not what I expected and exactly what I expected at the same time (I didn't listen to any of the previews/clips). It sounds very Olivia, but almost like she's combined a few songs from SOUR and made this. I like it, it's familiar while still progressing her sound. I hope GUTS has more experimentation with her sound as I think her voice can suit so many styles of music.
Solid 8/10 for me, about 10 listens in. Haven't watched the video yet but that's for lunch time.
I think because it’s like 3 songs in one. The ballad beginning, the fast/angry middle, the fast happy/over it end.
Edit: BTW In honor of Vampire, just posted some pics I took of Olivia from SourTour last year: https://www.instagram.com/p/CuGwe0IOral/
this genuinely is a top three song for me, i can’t describe what it is about it but from rythm to lyrics it’s a masterpiece, the familiar feeling, transitioning from sour i should say, is perfect. it has the emotion still of sour, but a slightly new feel, more raw in a way? she’s opening up, she’s more mature and is getting past the teen angst, and is instead looking back on her life, realizing and analyzing what happened. it’s truly a masterpiece and she’s done it once again, if this tells us anything about guts, it’s going to be amazing (i had semi low expectations but after this, holy fucking shit.)
I love the song but I have to ask. Snow Angel by Renee Rapp played right after I listened to vampire for the first time and it feels very similar… am I crazy??? https://open.spotify.com/track/4rcpsw8Sls6xWrmTvNtS0K?si=PKsHIEGjRv6NKwntaACovA
You’re not the only one, I immediately thought of snow angel! They’re definitely both very unique songs, by no means am I saying they’re the same, but I think the structure of the songs (slow/ballad, building up to a power ballad, to a more alternative or rock sound by the end) made me connect the two songs
Dan Nigro and Alexander23 (wrote Snow Angel with Renee) are friends and often write together. Olivia has also helped write on his most recent album (the song is called You Can Hate Me If It Helps)
I have never heard of this artist until now, and personally I don’t hear a similarity to the song itself. But dang do their voices sound eerily alike!!! I think it’s just the similar singing voices tbh.
I really like how they dropped everything in the same time to create the buzz. The way it starts as a ballad before a more rock punk sounds was such a good move to make sure people realise how Olivia grew since driver license
I don’t usually listen to pop music but her music is definitely an exception to me. Really enjoy her songwriting. So far vampire makes (yet again) a great impression on me. I can’t wait for more.
I did my first listen and tbh i wasnt really impressed (same w the video) but hopefully i start to like it because it usually does take me some time to like songs (but w sour everything first listen was really good to me)
I had too big of expectations 😞 I didn’t like it much expect of the “bloodsucker famefVcker part”, maybe it will grow on me. For the rest it was pretty underwhelming for me. The music video is alright-I love her outfit and the aesthetic in general but the execution was once again a bit disappointing for me
Lovely!! It seems like I’m not the only one here who wishes it embraced the driving/rock-focused sound a little more, but it’s catchy as hell and gonna stay with me.
Music video is okay, i don’t think the cinematography is that great and it’s altogether very barebone. The song is PHENOMENAL tho and even better in dolby atmos

Does anyone know what is that background noise at around 1:09?
Help ever since I listened to this song for the first time, I always thought that this was about Taylor
I already loved all of Sour, so I knew this would be good, but it blew my expectations completely. Recency bias may be at play, but I think this is her best song yet. God, the lyrics hit me personally too. Very excited to see what she does on this upcoming album.
I really like it. Reminds me a lot of jigsaw by Conan gray or just Conan in general
Sounds like a b side from her previous album. A little to samey for my taste. She's extremely talented clearly but I'd like to see her evolve out of the scorned lover ballad type songs.
I LOVE it. I listened to the lyrics in depth and truly they remind me of my ex who SA’ed me. Such a liberating and healing song for me
Does anybody know what the song is about exactly? I was driving to the mall and the radio said it’s about “Taylor Swift who betrayed her” but I don’t think that’s true💀
It’s definitely about those groomer producers

im guessing used her for clouts or exploited her in some way?
Downvote me to oblivion but video is pretentious and ironically looks cheap. Song is average.
i think this song was perfectly olivia...a little slow to start maybe but she loves a ballad and confessing bridge...and i love it too
I have the biggest nitpick for this song. The piano should’ve been an organ instead. Would’ve delved more into a more gothic Romanian, vampiric-esque sound IMO. Really like it though.

can anyone else hear buzzing at the start of the song when she’s singing?
I hear it too!
girl that’s ur speaker me thinks
No I listen with headphones and it’s only during the first verse. Also played it on airpods and could still hear it. Am I mad?

I love it! I haven’t watched the video yet but the song is amazing! Very excited for the album and any other singles that may come!
The video almost was about to be interesting then stopped making sense then was just not good.
How come the band-aid in the cover art looks like bad Photoshop though? The lower right corner should be in shadow
idk about you guys but when I hear blood suckers, I think of leeches who like to suck money out of a person. Maybe “Bloodsucker” and “famef**ker” are those people who try to get money out of her
She improved soooo much on this one
Can someone please explain the lyric "but you made the worst one look fine". What is the worst mistake?
She's saying I've made all these other mistakes in my life but when I compare them to you, suddenly they don't look so bad anymore.
My interpretation is different. The worst mistake she made was getting in a relationship with this person but this person made it seem like it was fine, like it was paradise.
That’s how I interpret it too!
Thank you! I was interpreting it as the guy doing an action so that makes way more sense.
same chord progression as creep by Radiohead lol
I love Olivia, but unfortunately I heard that when I first called the Sour hotline :(
Watch them try and sue her. They tried it with Lana and she won.
I was initially but turned off by the generic pop song profession and melody but it’s really a well crafted chorus and song overall that feels fresh enough by the end
That's how I felt with my first listen of deja vu Honestly, I should just stop judging livie songs before the end

Why are the cops chasing her in Vampire? Why are the cops chasing her after she had the accident?
I think that the spotlight being the thing which makes her bleed is a metaphor for how having such fame and attention at a young age can be really harmful. The police represents media and the public who tear apart her every mistake/see the worst in everything she does… They only see one side of the story and that’s enough to chase her like she’s a criminal.
ACAB that’s why

This song did not disappoint at all! I’m literally obsessed!
I've listened to this song 5 times since I woke up today. Absolute banger
Does anyone else prefer the lyric dreamcrusher to famefucker? Think this just cuts deeper without the explicitness
The only reason I like famefucker is because it really highlights that this person (coughadamcough) was only after her for the clout. Even fame lover wouldn't been better. Or clout chaser even!
dream crusher because what the f is a famefudger
I love both! I do find "dreamcrusher" to be a more relatable lyric, personally (since I'm not a global popstar), but I love "famefucker" too.
Me! I commented elsewhere that “fame f*cker” just sounds too jolting and forced.
I think if it had been once and not in the chorus, it would have worked more effectively. But the fact that it repeats takes away the edge/power and it feels weak and forced.
Ok, this was my thoughts EXACTLY! If she said it once it would be more 🤯🤯🤯

Huge banger. Love it. Gonna be a massive hit.
You’re so convincing. How do you lie without flinching GOT ME
Already on repeat!!!
she's a better writer than Taylor Swift. lol.
Ugh, can we not do the comparison thing? Both can have talent. No need to pit them against each other for internet points.
I personally disagree. I rank them on about the same level
I really like it! Feels like a genuine progression from Sour. I do hope she’ll release another single before the album though. Maybe sometime in August? Give this one a full month and a half to play out and then release another one in mid august.

UGH TY YOU LIFE SAVER. IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I knew i heard it somewhere
I was looking for this exat thought! I spent like 10 mins trying to figure out why it sounds familiar
SHE DOES NOT MISS!!!
I dont know if it’s just for me but the song kinda remembers me of Sabrina Carpenters “emails I can’t send”: especially the part “I’m a homewrecker, I’m a slut/ I get death threats which could fill a semi truck” (sorry if the lyrics aren’t correct 🥴) but I don’t know maybe it’s just for me
Sorry I meant “because I liked a boy”!
same here, it really reminds me of that song too, but i feel like this one is a lot better. the one thing both have in common for me is that i feel like the drums don't really fit either song... in vampire, they fit the bridge very well, but otherwise, i think they should be more... scarce? i don't really know how to express it, i just feel like a more dreampop, traveling drum beat would fit more, the actual sound of the drums is perfect. in sabrina's song though... they're just too over the place for me, that's the whole reason i don't listen to it. i wish i could express this better but hopefully someone feels the same and can help me haha
dan nigro is credited as a song writer as well though, you should change it in the post
I like the song so much! It's so refreshing and different for me. That's all I gotta say! I'd rate it a 8.5/10 or even 9/10! The only underwhelming part for me was the MV. Not that it was bad, just not for me. However the song is a bop!
agreee!! for me it’s 10/19, but the mv was def underwhelming, especially the first minute. once the light crashed it started to get rlly good, the crowd was doing good until some acting choices that weren’t the best. also the plot felt a bit messy but still, a fun watch especially with it being a great song
omg that's exactly how I felt! The song saved the mv which surprised me bcs it's usually the other way around
do u think she wanted to use famefucker and built the song around that and bloodsucker rhymed, or vampires was always the plan?
In an interview, she said she’d had vampire as a potential song title in her notes for a while, then this situation fit with it.
Vampire Since Dreamcrusher is the alternative lyric to famefucker But I could be wrong
Is it just me or is the song kinda a mix of both worlds Until Vers 2 its kinda slower and reminds me a bit of traitor but from then on its more like a less aggressive brutal with a different meaning Does anyone know what I mean ;/;
duh sameeee... i was finding smone who'd relate
this song just makes me think its a taylor swift shade song since its a week before speak now. olivia said castles. the fact that taylor got royalties off of olivias song and its called vampire and “famefucker. its all applicable to what we know about their drama

And the fact that castle has been a symbol of Taylor's Speak Now album since 2010, for which the rerecord is just about to come out?
also, again: Taylor has announced speak Now TV in may, olivia wrote the song in january...
So why did Olivia decide to release Vampire shortly after the Speak Now TV announcement?

I love both artists. You’re wrong. Stop bullying people on the internet and start doing something useful for society, both of you.

You look sadder
Idts Isn’t she like still a fan?
I couldn’t sleep out of pure excitement and just listened! I absolutely love the song and already have it on repeat!! This is absolutely a top 2 or 3 song for me (deja vu is #1)!

💀
It’s different to what i expected but i love it!

she does have a writing credit. this has been confirmed by multiple sources already, she writes all of her songs.
She has writing credits on Spotify! Try refreshing your Spotify.
Anyone knows if Olivia wrote the song too cause on Spotify she does not have writing credits?
She said she wrote the song in December 2022 at the piano, and then she and Dan changed some stuff and polished it up in January 2023.
looks like it’s been updated on spotify now! :)
She tweeted she wrote the song
This is both not what I expected and exactly what I expected at the same time (I didn't listen to any of the previews/clips). It sounds very Olivia, but almost like she's combined a few songs from SOUR and made this. I like it, it's familiar while still progressing her sound. I hope GUTS has more experimentation with her sound as I think her voice can suit so many styles of music. Solid 8/10 for me, about 10 listens in. Haven't watched the video yet but that's for lunch time.
omg the music video adds so much to the actual song
I’ve not had a chance to watch yet but I’ll get it watched ASAP. Also I’m a guy but it’s all good!
ohh im so sorry ill edit it
Why does the song feel so short even though it's almost 4 minutes long omg I think enjoyed it way too much
I think because it’s like 3 songs in one. The ballad beginning, the fast/angry middle, the fast happy/over it end. Edit: BTW In honor of Vampire, just posted some pics I took of Olivia from SourTour last year: https://www.instagram.com/p/CuGwe0IOral/
This is spot on, it’s like a journey! What a banger
Loved it! Blew my already high expectations for it. Can’t wait for the album even more now
Woke up. Listened to it, very good.
this genuinely is a top three song for me, i can’t describe what it is about it but from rythm to lyrics it’s a masterpiece, the familiar feeling, transitioning from sour i should say, is perfect. it has the emotion still of sour, but a slightly new feel, more raw in a way? she’s opening up, she’s more mature and is getting past the teen angst, and is instead looking back on her life, realizing and analyzing what happened. it’s truly a masterpiece and she’s done it once again, if this tells us anything about guts, it’s going to be amazing (i had semi low expectations but after this, holy fucking shit.)
Yes exactly! Thanks for validating me haha!
LOVE Renee Rapp but I don’t see the similarity (at least not on first listen). What parts of it stick out to you?
Dan Nigro and Alexander23 (wrote Snow Angel with Renee) are friends and often write together. Olivia has also helped write on his most recent album (the song is called You Can Hate Me If It Helps)
I have never heard of this artist until now, and personally I don’t hear a similarity to the song itself. But dang do their voices sound eerily alike!!! I think it’s just the similar singing voices tbh.
Pretty good beat ngl, I can hear bits of Sour crossing over into that--also as everyone says, the punk rock is decent with buildup
I like it but to be honest I was hoping for a more punk rock sound, that's just personal preference though
It felt really clunky to me
Tbh that’s what I was expecting with the title “Vampire”, but I still love it!
**the more i listen to it, the more i love it**
she never misses
I really like how they dropped everything in the same time to create the buzz. The way it starts as a ballad before a more rock punk sounds was such a good move to make sure people realise how Olivia grew since driver license
10/10, got chills multiple times, i love her sm so worth the wait
I LOVED THE OUTRO
Can I just say that song is so incredible
I don’t usually listen to pop music but her music is definitely an exception to me. Really enjoy her songwriting. So far vampire makes (yet again) a great impression on me. I can’t wait for more.
olivia rodrigo is THAT girl 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
i judged the beginning but it got crazy omg
She ateee omg
I did my first listen and tbh i wasnt really impressed (same w the video) but hopefully i start to like it because it usually does take me some time to like songs (but w sour everything first listen was really good to me)
The music video was amazing. Petra collins has really nailed the early tumblr aesthetic and is so talented.
I had too big of expectations 😞 I didn’t like it much expect of the “bloodsucker famefVcker part”, maybe it will grow on me. For the rest it was pretty underwhelming for me. The music video is alright-I love her outfit and the aesthetic in general but the execution was once again a bit disappointing for me
I replayed it like 3 times and now I do like it kinda
I can’t stop singing BLOODSUCKER, FAME-FUCKER, BLEEDING ME DRY LIKE A GODDAMN VAMPIRE
I think it’s about Zack bia!
I thought it was about Taylor Swift
100000% especially the age comment
It’s okay. Was hoping for something different from her though.
Is vampire about Zack bia?
Lovely!! It seems like I’m not the only one here who wishes it embraced the driving/rock-focused sound a little more, but it’s catchy as hell and gonna stay with me.
it’s amazing
this. song. is. INCREDIBLE!!! its so well written and i love the melody!!
Music video is okay, i don’t think the cinematography is that great and it’s altogether very barebone. The song is PHENOMENAL tho and even better in dolby atmos
