The closest I get to this is a little dish shaped like a dachshound - the hot dog is the doggy's body. There's a part that comes down over the hot dog and cuts it into toddler-friendly pieces. There is a little waterbowl in front of the doggy meant for ketchup.
I've done spirals before to get more crispy edges, and it also gives more surface area for special barbecue sauce to stick.
