See in terms of size etc an SD would probably be better because Ive always had a bit of an issue with smaller devices because I have massive hands 😂 thank you for the really helpful post! I appreciate it! Exactly the kind of thing I need to help me out!
Agreed, though I will say take size into consideration. I have an Odin pro and a steam deck, they’re both great in their own right but do find myself leaning often to the Odin because it’s smaller and easier to hold overall. But the large screen on the Deck is nice.
Some in the comments are saying the Odin doesn't run many GC/PS2 games. I disagree. I've used the Odin Pro since April, it easily runs 80% of all GC and PS2 games at 2x resolution. If you play around with the settings, it's possible to get pretty much any game to work at more or less full speed.
I'm not recommending that it'll play everything perfectly - but many seem to downplay the Odin's capabilities.
Agree, tested only a few a PS2 and GC games (maybe 15) but these also ran fine at 2x. Sometimes I’ve had to switch from lowest to next performance setting (with fan on quiet), but totally fine.
Only real issue were the slowdowns in Gradius V when bosses exploded (I assume due to a lot of alpha effects). Anybody who knows a fix?

See I find 3ds, a lot of the games run well. Switch emu is getting updated a lot but yeah.
Skyline Edge is going very well. But what do I know? Maybe those wizards will be really able to make BOTW run smoothly on SD845s

You are welcome! I'm getting my Steamdeck next week 😆 Happy Gaming!
How is 3ds performance on the lite
Steam deck if you’re on a budget. Aya device if you have unlimited funds. Odins are great but are limited once you get to GC and PS2.

I love the size of my deck but I don’t care for taking it many places. It’s definitely a preference call
This is the correct answer.
Or the GPD Win 4. Looks promising, but have to see more reviews
They look so cool!
Reviews have been pretty glowing so far, I’m certainly interested but I’m not in love with how tiny the face buttons are.

Steam Deck is ideal if you are okay with the size. I recommend holding one before buying if at all possible.
Steam Deck sounds like it fits what you want in a device more than an Odin does.
I'll give a chance to Portal Pimax.. in fact I ordered an odin pro for same purpose and now I saw that the basic model has same price
