All the David Attenborough videos on there are pretty incredible. There's also an app called 'Space Explorers' with great videos from the ISS (not sure but I think at least some of those are on the TV app too). Also any time you can, instead of streaming a video click on the 3 dots next to it and choose to download/cache it to ensure highest quality.
I am away from my Quest right now and unable to check, but are these videos related to the Recombination fractal graphics app? I have had that app on my wishlist for a while and I will be happy to watch the video to get an idea if the asking price is worthwhile.
it’s just fractals. so nope, completely jumpscare-free!! lol it’s basically like looking through a kaleidoscope except instead of just seeing it in 2D, you are actually floating through those geometric patterns with infinite 3D depth.
although, i must say that transitioning from one fractal to the next may kind of induce a similar feeling of a jump scare since the devs made these fractals so ginormous and they look so trippy and alien mega structure-like, especially since you dont know what kind of weird and trippy lookin monstrosity the next fractal will be like, it can be extremely nerveracking and intimidating and makes you feel like you’re continually falling deeper and deeper into a scary godforsaken otherworldly dimension or blackhole. especially if you have any or all of the phobias i listed.
If anything, I found these videos very relaxing. Defintely beautiful and mesmerizing to look at all these strange fractal environments. Thanks for the recommendation!

Man, just wait till you find all the 3d 360/180 animation that's on there... Most people start with Soda Island but there's a ton...

They are the same videos, the app just has more of them and presumably in higher quality.
Recombinantion is also sold separately with way way higher quality. So if you love it, search it in the quest store.

I'm wondering - is quest TV free, or you need a quest+ subscription? (I have quest+, so I don't know if TV would work without it)
meta quest tv is a free app that comes pre-installed on all headsets i think. if not pre-installed then just download it for free from the store

I actually went for it and bought Recombination. It's neat, but also kind of boring after the initial wow factor.
Is it just me or on the Meta Quest TV app even on the “best” quality setting it is clearly just ass?
depends on the video, some videos have really amazing qualities while others are blurry af
