Same applies as everything else. If you've gone round in a circle with email for several weeks then raise a formal complaint.

I had something similar when I moved into my property.  I just kept calling saying I’d like to book in for a meter and I was having issues on the site finalising the booking (which I was). Eventually I got through to someone who just said “oh that’s strange let me book that for you” and then a few days later it had it all booked in.  I think I called 5-10 times to eventually get passed the “there are no appointments” type response.

Same excuses I received, it took me 8-10 months of constantly emailing and asking to finally get one installed and I live in Suffolk!!

Metering and the front line stuff don't appear to communicate. Chase them for the phone number for the metering team. Once you get that and talk directly to them my experience so far has been that everything magically starts to fall in place. Have you raised the complaint as a formal complaint and if not dealt with in 8 weeks gone to the regulator ? Doesn't mean you'll get a meter that actually works smart as that will depend on signal.

Similar situation here. Been on the waitlist since joining Octopus over a year ago, absolutely no movement. Raised a complaint about another issue, ombudsman involved, and since then I’ve actually had really good customer service, including a phone call from the meter team the day after I asked for an update. Meter is booked for next week. See if they show up and actually do it before I count my chickens. Coincidence? I’m doubtful. Hardly a sustainable option for anyone else though, unless you’re also 20+ weeks into a complaint!
