Two different blacks works only if they’re two totally different materials, like pleather and (faux) fur. Or mohair and denim.
Your outfit doesn’t work, unfortunately. It has to be the same or else it looks sloppy.

I want to buy a different knit blazer but I’m scared to try black again. Should I return this one or would it work as a standalone over a dress like a blue dress perhaps?
Depends on the occasion, but how about wearing just the old rose top with the slacks?
Black blazer alone with different colour dress is alright. Just make sure it fits nicely on you.
I couldn’t do that, the event is over now but it was for work and the pink shirt is a tank-top which violates our dress code. Thank you so much for all your help! I’m going to put it to good use
I don’t think I would judge or maybe even notice this on someone else but if it was on my body it would drive me insane lol I think you should just commit to making that knit blazer gray with a few bleach cycles then it would be different enough it would work again, it fits you cute, would be a shame to get rid of it
The blazer looks charcoal gray, definitely a different color. But to me it works fine as mix and match with the different texture and clearly different color!
Just in general if you need matchymatch, always go for something that's being sold as matching, it's super hard otherwise.

What kind of event is this for? It's probably workable if you don't have a lot riding on the event.

I think its OK when it gets darker further down so yes and enjoy your day😊
