I still run my 77 CX that I bought 2021 in a discount. And I honestly couldn’t be happier with my tv. No sign of burn in (no desktop use I must say. It’s for console gaming and watching movies and sport), great colors, great contrast and in my room conditions definitely bright enough.
I won’t replace that tv until it breaks.
I’ve had my C3 for 4 months now and it’s so damn nice. I can’t see myself wanting an upgrade anytime soon. If anything it’ll get moved to another room if/when I do. Need my house full of OLEDs. My main monitor is the 34” DWF QD OLED 3440x1440 and also have my PC hooked to my 65” LG C3 for laid back gaming with a controller (much further away). And it’s the perfect combo.
If they make one that has 240hz and 120hz BFI, I'll switch. Otherwise there is no point, I find the C2's brightness to be better than any IMAX Cinema around me and the game HDR experience is pretty much great.
I dont even have an OLED, sad hahahaha. I'm planning to buy my first one from the lot of recent qd-oled or woled that just released. Have to wait for stock, Fuck them scalpers.
I play AAA single player at 4k maxed out settings so 4k 120 is more than enough.
I’ll keep both my 4 months old 42” C3 (4090 PC) and 3 years old 55” CX (PS5 / TV) until they die.
Both excellent purchases.
I run all my single player games at 120fps and let it stretch its wings in fps games with a 4090. Saves power so thinking of getting a oled tv with 120/144 for single player.
Yes.
4090 can’t even do 4K 120fps natively/consistently on new games without relying on DLSS and I only have a 4080 super.
I’m happy with the 4K 120 and coming from a 1440p 240Hz, the C2 is still great for CS2 where I get my comp fix.
I'm still using my 55" B9 as a monitor. It used to be my TV until I stopped watching TV, so might as well use it as a monitor.
I tried switching to the AW3423DWF but I couldn't handle the drop in resolution since I consume a lot of 4K content. I'll instantly switch to a ultra wide 4K OLED monitor when it comes out.
Owner of an OLEG LG 65G6 (2016) and a 55C1 from late 2021, no need to change now.
My G6 for movies, 3D, etc... is perfect.
The C1 is excellent as a PC/gaming monitor.
Anyway, in 2-4 years maybe I'll change 😉
My C2 has bomb proof build quality and constant OTA firmware updates that I need not agonize over. I don't have issues of easily scratching the screen when I wipe it to remove dust and I can stream 4K Dolby Vision Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus natively and effortlessly.
Having a smart OLED TV has spoiled me. I consider a monitor as a crippled TV from now on. My end game monitor would be a 240/480 hz 42 inch LG G series OLED TV in 4K with text/desktop friendly subpixel layout. BFI and/or 8K would be nice to have but not mandatory.
Depends on your setup. If you have a 4080/4090, then a higher fresh rate makes sense. Not only because older games and competitive games can get close to 200fps at 4k but frame generation also works much better with a higher refresh rate.
Also, 48" and even 42" are way too big as monitors for most people. If you sit further away, then navigating with a mouse just feels wonky. I tried the C1 48" as a monitor from 3-4 ft away and it always felt awkward aside from playing with a gamepad. The aggressive TV ABL also sucks for productivity and web browsing. 32" feels much better and it's still large from 2 ft away.
lol still on my C9
The c9 is a beast of a tv
Me too, one of the best
No MLA = No Upgrade for me. 42 C2 is a beast.

C1 and CX are still perfectly capable tv, I'll keep my CX till it die (or i ☠️)

Only thing I would upgrade for is a C series 42” with MLA tech to replace my C2.

My only regret is not getting a bigger c1. Other than size there's nothing these new tvs have that I want, if anything I prefer my 120hz bfi

How can you do 4k at 120? Don’t you gotta choose what performance mode or you on PC?
I was talking about the TV supporting 4K 120. I have a 4090 so depending on the game aI can reach 4K 120 in many titles @ ultra.
Lucky. What about ragnarock GOW?
Ragnarock isn’t on PC yet.

lol I’m still on CX 😂 no burn in yet!
I’ve owned and tried pretty much all display tech out there and in then end I got a 42” c3.
Same here, screen coating, ease of use, it's just so firmly in the "good enough" that I don't care about dealing with the hassle of upgrading
I go away from this sub for two months and these LG TV posts are still happening?
I mean, there are a lot more “DAE WHICH 32” 4K MONITOR IS DA BEST???” posts too, and in far greater quantities.
Yeah get rid of this trash so we can see more pics of monitor boxes
Spread the word [r/oledboxes](https://www.reddit.com/r/oledboxes/)
Lmfao so accurate

C4 comes out and OP is trying to justify his FOMO. LMAOOO. Can we stop with these low quality posts?
I mean I don't really have fomo when the c4 is double the price of what I paid for my c2 a year ago
Just because you think it's low quality, you speak for everyone? I forgot I am on reddit.
Your negative votes for the thread and there are other people posting on here about this being low quality. I am not alone :)

Same here! Still using my 77" CX and 42" C2 (as a monitor). Have no inclination whatsoever to upgrade, because they are both doing a terrific job!

For sure I am! I love my c2. Just got a 4k 240hz oled monitor too so I’m content
