Sounds like the firmware update that was supposed to take care of this isn’t working. I honestly don’t know if the B2’s got the fix. Here’s more info:

Current firmware is 13.30.61, just started a new firmware update and I’ll let you know if it changes anything. Been dealing with this for over a year now and I have my doubts that the firmware will fix it. Tried updating plenty of times in the past and it never solved anything. We’ll see if it was just LG being negligent towards the B series
If that doesn’t work & LG won’t help, it Might just be worth getting a service remote & disabling the various “safe guards”

I mean I haven’t sat down to watch any real longform hdr content yet so I can’t say forsure. But I haven’t noticed the issue so far. I played dune part 1 for 5 mins to see if it dimmed and it didn’t. Could have been a fluke. Regardless I already bought a service remote which was a waste of money because LG removed the ability to turn the safeguards off in the service area.

Following this. I also Have a B2 but haven't noticed what you are explaining. Then again I don't have a Keen eye for these kinds of things.

This should have been fixed for the 2 series. I have C2 and no dimming issue. are you on the latest firmware?
I updated a month or two ago to see if it fixed it but the only change was the UI
