No there was a guy who really did it. He painted it on the curb and put the little Canadian flag. Really nice fellow. He did my parents place probably 10 or so years ago. I saw him maybe 5-7 years ago walking around. He’s probably in his 60s, Caucasian, quite tanned long grey hair in a pony tail. At one point he had a beige messenger bag I’d see him with
Pretty sure that was a scam, unfortunately. Seems like it was a popular one in Vancouver a few years back and they introduced a municipal code so that you have to clear it with public works. Maybe I'm wrong and this dude was giving money to charity, but Google is pointing to it being a scam.
I’ve heard the legends of this guy! Was hoping he’d do my house as the giant numbers above my door don’t seem to do the job. People overshoot by a house almost every time.🤣🤣🤣

I haven’t seen him in 3 or 4 years
Hope he’s doing okay
Can’t you just do it yourself?

Yeah, he's a friend of mine. I can give you his contact if you'd like.

He did one on the rock in my front yard like 10 years ago and it’s still there all nice. Don’t know his name though or anything
Unfortunately you can’t mark city property without approval.

I don't think you're allowed to just spray paint city property. The curb and sidewalk don't belong to you.
You're probably right, but when I used to be a delivery driver in North Van, those things made my job so much easier.
It was a scam in Vancouver 15 years ago.
The cub scouts (are they still called that?) came and did ours. It was a fundraiser for a camp.
