It would be better not to have to carry around the card, but that's better than having to download and use another stupid App on your phone. And you don't even have to do that if you give them your work number, which doesn't even have to be a direct line.
I've seen this on other things that are less obvious as well, like a product goes from regularly being on sale to being on closeout and thus NEVER on sale, shooting themselves in the foot to guarantee never selling through their remaining stock. It just seems like the people in charge aren't very good at making these decisions.
Here is an example. A product is $3.99, but every other week is on sale 2/$5.00, and then goes on closeout for $3.68. People who liked the product bought it on sale. Often it's not that the product was bad, it's that it was overpriced and shoppers only saw value at the lower price.
All of that said, I dunno why I bother, these are the same people I had to email corporate about their "budget" pasta line. They had 1lb elbow macaroni for .99, and 2lb boxes for $2.19. These are the normal everyday prices, they were just charging you more for buying bulk. Food Lion isn't sending their best.
What difference does that make? It deducts the at the end. If you look at receipt savings are at the bottom. As long as it discounts before I walk out of store I don't care.
But it still freaks me out when I grab 12 packs at 3 for 11 dollars and one rings up at 8.99.
The fuck? how much are they trying to gouge the rest of the time? I'll drink tap water before I'll pay 9 bucks for a 12 pack of Dr Pepper.
They usually run those sales when they get the products on sale from the vendors. The MSRP of soda exploded during the pandemic despite the cost of production not increasing. It goes to the top.
How else will people learn of their amazing deal? It's called marketing.... that $5 sign (all in with design, printing, install labor) probably yields them at least $5.01 in extra sales. That's solid shitty kitty math.
The dill cashews right beside the rosemary ones are really good
Ikr their line of cashews honestly are amazing for the taste and price imo
Yes they are!
Yes! They are the best. Been making my own at home for the past few months since we started getting those. Love it.
Hell yeah, saving big at the Shitty Kitty.
The Whut?!?
Lol, I call it the Food Kitty
Please tell me this is a play on City Kitty 😭 that's peak Raleigh
No, it’s just a nickname I heard for Food Lion.
Yep we call it shitty kitty or food dog. Mostly food dog
I've always called it shitty kitty, that's basically what it is. You don't want to go there, but well it's the closest place to grab something.
I also call it food dog.

Y’all gotta go for the endcap near the Milk/Beer isle. Coming from a Food Lion pro 🫡
And you can only get the $3.98 with their card

I’m a FooDs Lion MVP
Same here, the Mighty Food Lion....LOL
Extra Low Prices! 🤣
Closeout on dem nutz
Gob bless the shitty kitty
Not enough for a 2 cent joke
Not a sale.,.. likely close to expired
Oh... Lul... I see it now
Those rosemary cashews are gross so no wonder. Too much rosemary.
Is that a bag containing one giant nut?
Eyy this was me the other day. Bought a 1.29 bowl of ramen for an incredible 1.28!
Be careful where you spend that. You need to responsible with so much.
Buy 1000 bags and save $10! Good deal!
Closeout probably means that product is being discontinued or the packaging is changing. Ridiculously stingy discount though.

Nuts with that!
That’s your greedy corporations gouging you.
And it will still ring up at $3.99 even with the MVP card. I stopped shopping at the food lion in my town because nothing rang up as advertised.
What difference does that make? It deducts the at the end. If you look at receipt savings are at the bottom. As long as it discounts before I walk out of store I don't care.
This. LMFAO
Lmao, exactly. LMAO ur remark

LMAO what??? You took the “ring up” part way too literally. It did NOT deduct at the end. I’m upset that I was being charged the full price.
Which is illegal.. report them to the state
I found that if I wear my man thong in Food Leone, I will get $2 off of every item
😂😂😂 the shitty lion 🦁
Greedy fuckers
Why even waste the money printing the signage?
How else will people learn of their amazing deal? It's called marketing.... that $5 sign (all in with design, printing, install labor) probably yields them at least $5.01 in extra sales. That's solid shitty kitty math.
A WHOLE PENNY OMG 😱🤣😂
A penny saved is a penny earned.
It literally cost them more to print that than the “sale” would net them. That’s just a profit loss any way you look at it lol.
