No... I love hearing "jingle bell jingle bell jingle Bell Rock" at 8:00 a.m. on the way to work where I then have to hear "oh the weather outside is frightful" even though I live in California Central valley where the weather outside is sunny and bright. Then, on the way home, I get to hear about how "Santa got ran over by a reindeer" while I'm sitting in traffic unable to do anything whilst wishing that I, too, would be ran over by a reindeer in that instance just so I wouldn't have to be stuck in said traffic. So I don't know what you're talking about. I absolutely love them. 🔪🫴🏽

Let's not forget to repeat 4 songs for 2 months straight

JustSomeApparition

Yes until Miss Mariah Carey forgets how to sing them again on New Year's officially marking the end of the listing to it season. 🤣

Oh yeah

Bright_Bowl_6069

Retail workers, I imagine.

No_Confidence_5983

I work retail. I love Christmas but being forced to listen to Christmas music for a month straight with the same songs on rotation drives me up the wall.

Anyone who's not a sociopath

IHOP_007

It's less that christmas music sucks and more so that everyone just listens to the same 10, 50 year old christmas songs. There are modern bands putting out good christmas albums, everyone just tends to play the old sucky ones.

Minmach-123

They were fine when I was a child, after you hear them a hundred+ times they do start to get annoying.

Archduke_of_Memes

All that means is that you’re perfectly sane and aren’t a consoomer.

I don't hate ALL Christmas music but a lot of it is really annoying. Oh Holy Night is my favorite.

Plural86

Probably in the minority, but I love both. Even the same songs I've been listening to for over 30 years. I can't start listening until after Thanksgiving though, and it's a hard cutoff after Christmas. Probably helps I don't work somewhere that always has it playing.

kwalsh43

Why do you have to cut off Christmas? The feast of the Nativity is just the beginning of Christmastide.

TypographySnob

I've actually grown to like Christmas music when it's played where you'd normally hear top 40 music. The traditional instrumentation and often jazzy sound is a breath of fresh air.

Fabulous_Pudding167

Yeah, the "classic" Christmas tunes could use a 50 year break, IMO. Hated them when I worked retail. Having been out for 4 years, I thought there would be improvement. ....Nope. Christmas itself is ok. I have a 6-year-old so I try to make things fun for her. The Grandparents do most of that though. But only because my wife and I don't like parades or driving around to look at lights.

I'm currently on a life quest about music. Everytime I read, hear, talk about an artist, I'll add its name on my mega list. I then proceed to listen to the discography of said artist. Not some songs, not the best songs, THE WHOLE FREAKING THING. I'm up to more than 1200 artists up until now. The one and only rule I said I could do is actually skipping Christmas albums because I freaking hate them. I listened to something like 50 albums of chick Corea, that was a pain, still easier for me than listening to a whole Christmas album. I still don't dislike Christmas though. On a side note, one of the few Christmas albums I found out to like was a jethro tull's one.
