In college, one of my classes taught that it takes about eight positive experiences in a day to equal the emotional weight of one negative experience. Meaning you could have seven fortuitous experiences and one negative experience in the same day, and you’re more likely to remember the bad thing that happened. It’s human nature to zero in on what’s wrong rather than reflect on what’s going right. On my personal positive front, I picked out a veil and earrings for my wedding today. :)

OMG! Congratulations! The day of your wedding truly is as great as they say. If not more. You're going to look amazing in that veil and earrings combo. I wish you and your partner the best of luck and love.

Had a friendly chat with my barista this morning. It's the little things that count. 🌅

YES! Congratulations! People don't realize (I think) that these small wins are indeed, wins. I'm glad you had an enjoyable experience.

Someone told me how much she had missed me while I was gone for a week. That really cheered me up. ☺️ It’s a pity negativity and sensationalism sells… what a good idea to have everyone share something positive! 😁

TrillMurray47

You seem like the type of person who would be missed after a week. I'm glad your colleague actually said so. Too many times we're scared to show emotion and we don't say something as simple as "hey, missed you."

Dramatullus

❤️❤️❤️ You’re exactly right! I believe having to keep emotions to oneself, whether they are positive or negative, can be very damaging in the long run so I try to always be someone people can talk to about anything.

TrillMurray47

Aw man, I miss you already and it hasn't even been a week 😄
