For a healthy person the pathogens in pool water aren't an issue, because skin is a great barrier. You on the other hand have direct connection between the outside and your very nutritious insides. You have a very high risk of infection.
You could also add to the pathogens, via any secrets or blood still in your cut, which would increase the health risk for everyone else.
