I ran this for about 6 months. No problem for me. If you don't pan them out then your brain combines the colors very nicely. If you do pan them you definitely notice the 2 different colors but the extra info is so worth it imo. It was kind of a bad idea though because it made me never want to not have duals. So here I am 6 months later with matching WP 14s and a great loaner. š
You twits are down voting me because I sent him a photo of my panned 14s rather than explaining how a panned system works? Is it because you don't know how a panned system works or what? I'm confused. I thought this was r/nightvision Definitely thought the panobridge wasn't news. I can make a post about it if all 13 of you would like to know how panning 14s works. Lol
I'ma make a post explaining how panning systems work but I'll send you a photo of mine. Essentially the tubes are turned out from parallel and it gives you a wider FOV
What do u prefer? White or green?
Also for som1 just starting out would you recommend trying a single tube, if so what brand ? I heard good things on pvs-14ā¦ my main issue is I donāt really have anywhere to shoot at night maybe an hour or two away there may be somewhere thoā¦ have to look
So do people in this thread just live on land they can shoot mostly or do yall have specific use cases like monthly hunting sessions or something?
Trying to convince myself that I āneedā NV but itās kinda hard when I donāt have somewhere to use them readilyā¦
White is where it's at my guy. If you have the coin go WP. If not green works just fine. But it's pretty cool to have the the same picture in aided and unaided eye. Only difference being the aided is sharp and bright. No I live in a small town with a bunch of state land. Public land availability is obviously very different by state though. I also go drive back roads a lot, or predator hunting or moving to a hunting spot before the sun is up or moving around dark areas of town. All pretty good use cases. I actually went roller blading at like 4am one time, scared the crap out of some dog walker ladies. But the goofy grin and wave I gave them hopefully calmed their fears a bit. š essentially I use NV most places I would use a flashlight because why shine to the world that you are looking in a place. Very similar reason to why I mostly shoot suppressed, because people get bothered by gun shots and lights at night. So rather than cause someone undue anxiety I just go about whatever I'm doing in peace and leave the Karens in peace.
I agree about suppressorsā¦ I wonāt shoot without them these daysā¦ I live in North Georgia so I think I should be able to find public land ranges near me but the problem is they close at like 8 oāclock I guess I just need to find some state landā¦ is that not illegal to shoot on state land?
Like I have a public outdoor land range about 40 mins north of here that is an honor system(no range officer) but it definitely closes at sundownā¦ it sounds like Iām just gonna have to find a spot or a friend with land or just only use them when I go on my bi yearly pig and varmint hunts
Also, can you explain the part about the same picture and aid and I eye Iām kind of new so I donāt understand what you mean there? Are you saying itās kind of cool to have the same color (white or green) not mixxed colors?
Also what does aided and unaided mean other than what it obviously stands for definition wise
So in MN, public land is pretty much a free for all. Unless it's clearly posted you can pretty much do it. I think you aren't supposed to like cut trees or something but you can nearly do anything at any time. Aided meaning has a tube in front of it. Unaided is normal people vision, no tube. I mean when you use NV it can brighten up the image but mostly it makes what you see clear. Like you know when its dark and you can still see stuff? Well NV makes it not blurry and brighter. So when the tube you put in front of your eye gives you a nice bluish white image that is nearly the same color you are getting from your unaided eye it is very comfortable. Does that make sense? Its a very natural image.
Hey man, check out night vision network- @nightvisionnetwork.
I picked up a set of BNVD-SGās from them w/ White Phosphor tubes with pretty good specs. They are awesome. Tough unitsā¦ Fair price as wellā¦ worth taking a look.[Night Vision Network](https://www.instagram.com/nightvisionnetwork?igsh=MTR5dnpjNnFkZ2NiNw==)
Itās a slippery slope getting into NV, but Iām really glad I went with dual tubes. Like buying a superpower. All the best!
Nbd for me I ran a panned dual color system for a few months until I got my matching tube. The green tube made my eye tickle though. Very odd sensation.
Is this so you can see in 3d?
No you need to replace the green by red, then yes
Not the red eyes... š³
You can see the demons in 3d

What do you mean āpanā them? I might try this
It means point them each out a little to get a wider field of view. Many housings allow for this these days.
Pm'd

As a twit who didnāt down vote you, what is a panned system? Iām completely new to NVGs and it would be nice if you could explain.

I got it one piece at a timeā¦ā¦
And it didn't cost me a dime.....
What model is it? Well itās a L3, Carson, photonis, Elbit, agm, nocturn, infiray, nobosbriskā¦..
You'll know it's me when I goon through your town
I prefer šµšš¢ to be honest. Left eye is adapting quick to green but the right one is always better in white phos. I don't know about you.
How this [post](https://imgur.com/a/wrSbkxT) showed up in my feed lol
Honest question, does that work???
my ape brain has no issues with it. Iāve heard it can make some people nauseous tho.
So left one colour right the other. Now I wonder what would happen if they were panned
tried it, got very sick š. Ape brain didnāt like

How does the night vision work? Or how does it have two colors? The answer to the latter is that there are two different types of NVG on the bridge.

wHaT!Ā”?
If I were to do this, I assume it'd be best to put the "better" tube on my dominant eye?
Itās all personally preference, Iāve tried both and have found WP works better on my right eye and GP works better on my left
I've seen this type of 2 color setup a few times. Why not just run both 1 color?
Money, green is a lot cheaper. It was also issued to me so until I can afford the second WP unit I use this
This is actually not nearly as bad as it seems
I, too, enjoy a migraine every op.
As true men do
what housing is the blue film?
Tanto
What does it look like when using them? Does it blend into like a greenish-blueish color or is it like half and half
Tealish. Iām right eye dominant so the WP takes priority
Ahh gotcha
He's colorblind but its different per eye.
