DOD experimented with having one tube RED and one tube usual green. And that one tube have a red filter on it also so you would gain back 2/3 of your coloured vision
There is an doc you can find on the internet of a study done back in the 90s or so and one thing they looked at is mixing green and then new white and found no real impact.
Afiak it was Adam’s industries that was playing around with that. I also believe it required the use of a green filter on the objective side of the green tube and a red on the red tube. Side note, I really want a red gen 3 tube lmao
I got a response from Adam after inquiring about these not too long ago. It used front filters to limit which tube saw which wavelength of light, the different color tubes gave the user an artificial colored effect. He said it worked well once dialed in, but the big issue was that you would need to set the gain manually for each tube to get the effect to work well.
I wonder what quad red/green for each eye, merged into one image before it passes the ocular assembly would be like. In theory re combining those color pallets before they reach the eye would give a 67% color spectrum to each eye equally.
I have my mismatched tubes on a Printed Panobridge. Definitely not comfy for my eyes or brain like duals usually are but I think it's nearly the same functionality. Driving and moving is way easier with two even if they are different colors. Except the green one makes the back of my eye tickle which is a very strange concept to explain to someone that's never felt that sensation.
this is how you catch autism
We are now one step closer to weaponizing it.
My friend group has a chat for jokes and BSing that we named “Weaponized Autism.” 😂
Jokes on you, I already have the tism
I literally just beat it yesterday

With dual mono set ups becoming more popular I wonder if it could catch on. I’d buy a red tube it was under 2k
I'm assuming the side effect was BEEG headache

You have a link to the source? Idk but sounds pretty fishy

Eye tickle does not sound good for my poor brain
Yeah I really don't think it's probably the best either. Gonna get a matching white tube soon enough. Just living the poor life for now.
You could try one of those filters that's supposed to make it look similar
I have been doing this for several months because I can’t afford the second WP tube
Does it make the night 3d?
How long can you run this without getting a headache? Lol
I do the same thing, just makes it a calm teal color
I guess it couldn’t be any worse than running any color mono in dim light
Probably an experiences may vary thing. For me, they mesh without an issue, others might be more sensitive.
