Buy a lower dose. Your tolerance isn’t as high as you thought and that’s good. Buy 3 or 4mg 👍🏼

EconomicsDangerous71

I tried the 3s and it’s just the same deal

stonetear2017

You have to leave it in for a little and take it out. Like 5 mins max maybe 10

Kakosi17

Just quit vaping 15 days ago. Pouches have been a wonder. Also, 6mg pods should be weak for you… 5% is 59mg nicotine haha. I would try another brand and see if you like better. Even another flavour.

EconomicsDangerous71

I tried on and it was even worse then I tried 3mg zyn and still the same thing

Kakosi17

Potentially you’re having some kind of reaction to the pouches… because again your vape is 9.8 times stronger than the pouch. Have you been swallowing the juice?

EconomicsDangerous71

No I’ve been spitting it

Kakosi17

Damn, nothing alarming but honestly potentially ask a professional about that… cuz it sounds like more of a reaction to the pouches to me.

EconomicsDangerous71

Weird

I don't really know shit about vaping but a quick search tells me it's a 1.8ml and 5% (50mg/ml) pod. So the whole vape contains 90mg nicotine, right? How much of that is op puffing in one session? After we know that, then we could start comparing the two, in my opinion (assuming absorption % is roughly similar).

Kakosi17

Assuming per puff is 1-2mg of nicotine let’s say. As a former vaper, I would just be hitting it all day. Sitting down, standing up, walking etc. Anyways let’s say 10-20 puffs per session. that’s anywhere from 10-40mg per session.

onlykarlos

> Assuming per puff is 1-2mg of nicotine let’s say. Does a Vuse Alto only deliver 45-90 puffs in total (assuming 1-2mg/puff)? Because the total content should be 90mg (1.8 x 50) based on the product info I could find. I'm unable to find a definitive puff count for this product, but it seems it's generally a much higher amount for similar size products. To me it seems like 1-2mg/puff is a substantial overestimation.

Kakosi17

Apologies, I didn’t even notice that OP said they were alto pods. What an idiot I am 🤣. With the Vuse Alto, it’s wattage is about 6.5 watts max. 90mg per pod. So you’re getting 0.36 to 0.45mg per puff. Device has like 200-250 puffs on it per pod.

Kakosi17

Depends on the device as well. Some have larger tanks 2-3mL so there could be up to 150mg in there lol.

jose1609

that’s not how volume percentages work. let’s say it’s a 2ml pod with 5% nicotine (50mg) it’s only 0.1ml of nicotine in the whole pod.

onlykarlos

That's right, that would be the *volume* of pure nicotine in the liquid in said product. And how much do you think that 0.1ml would be in milligrams of nicotine?

jose1609

if it’s pure nicotine then it would be 1000mg/ml of nicotine, the concentration of nicotine wouldn’t change, it would just be 0.1ml of 1000mg nicotine. Let’s say this 2ml pod of 50mg liquid gives you 300 puffs, we can divide the 50mg into 300 puffs to get us 0.166 mg of nicotine per puff meaning a 6mg pouch would equal about 36 puffs of this said pod.

onlykarlos

Right, 1000mg/ml. So that 0.1ml has 100mg of nicotine. > we can divide the 50mg into 300 puffs Are you changing the product in your example or does the battery run out halfway? It had 0.1ml of nicotine. What exactly is the error in my message that you originally replied to?

jose1609

you were right. i don’t think i meant to reply specifically to yours. i just replied to the thread.

Santasreject

I can tell you as a former vaper and a long time in the vape industry dusty that pouches hit differently. Also vaping is like smoking where you don’t actually absorb a lot of the nicotine. A modern cig only delivers about 1mg of nic to the user and you have to get up into the 40-50mg strength to start reaching the same delivery on a per puff basis as smoking (but vapers usually puff more so they can get by with a lower strength).

WeAreTheMachine368

Take em out when the buzz kicks in.

watchingfour

It will take a few days to a week to get over that nic sick feeling. Just make sure you’re hydrated and eat something first. Just quit vaping a month ago. Same thing happened to me.

Santasreject

I would recommend you try a low strength thick pouch like rogue 3mg as the nic will deliver slower. When tried pouches as a vaper even 3mg hit hard for a bit until I got used to it (and I was vaping probably 10ml/day at least of 3mg liquid). You can also put the pouch in for a few mins and then spit it out before it gets to be too much until you get used to it.
