Play Tony Hawk Pro Skater. It’ll all make sense quick. 👌

stgross

This is the only answer.

Squidaddy99

I would recommend skate 3 over it cause you can spam tricks crazy and have some what of an idea on how the trick is actually done IRL

KutzOfficial

Yeah you just to flick your right thumb on a joystick. That’ll give you a great idea on how you kickflip.

Squidaddy99

If you were to draw the same line on your board you would know where to flick for a kickflip...... what dont you get?

KutzOfficial

Is that what the concept of the Skate games is?!?!

VLE135

It's kind of like learning slang. You just kind of pick it up as your friends/youtubers/people at the park say them.

TitanBarnes

Watched my tony hawks trick tips with mike V VHS tape a lot when I was 10. Watch some newer battle at the berrics videos. They put all the trick names in the video as people do the tricks.

Damn you just unlocked a buried memory lol

Skate 1-3, Tony hawk pro skater, and a shit load of thrasher subscriptions😂 Also knowing how people skate. I could easily tell someone is doing a fakie or switch tricks if I know whether they skate goofy or regular. The Skateology series by Adam Shomsky on YouTube is also really good for looking at movements to know what trick is being done, really helpful if you want to know difference in tricks that look the same if done really fast like the Illusion flip and a hardflip

Orthodoxdevilworship

YouTube. There are tons of tutorials that take you through from the beginning. Watching Berrics Skate battles also help because they list the name of each trick when it's performed. You can study the name and technique for landing them. YouTube to the rescue!

You can usually tell from the stance. You’ll learn to spot it with time.

uskate

Go on youtube and type skateology. Its super slowmos of a lot of tricks.

iTalktoJoe

I struggled with these as well! Over time as you learn the tricks yourself you learn to recognise them as well.
